Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need to use external attachment parts for initial setting and pins of IC, by realizing IC-impelementation by obtaining a required power-on reset signal through the multi-stage cascade connections of inverters. CONSTITUTION:In the constitution obtained merely through the multi-stage cascade connections of inverters, what stage outputs a high or low level in terms of transient phenomenon after power feeding can unconditionally be found judging from even the relation to the output of a preceding-stage inverter, i.e. the input of the inverter. However, when an inverter generating an output contradictory to a stationary output determined inevitably by the input of the initial-stage inverter causing a transient phenomenon is close to the initial stage, inversion information is transferred to the terminal-stage inverter sequentially with transmission time delay. Therefore, the ratio of causing contradiction increase as the number of inverters increases, so that the power-on reset signal can accurately be generated.
