Abstract

PURPOSE: To promptly the reliably accomplish the function tests of an electronic watch without any use of an external signal source by switching gates to vary the connection of the frequency dividing stages of frequency dividing circuits thereby to control the frequency dividing ratio.
CONSTITUTION: If a high level signal is impressed upon a test terminal 7 thereby to effect the test condition, the gates of a switching circuit 8 are switched so that the final stage FF F4 of a frequency dividing circuit 3 has its connection from the previous stage FF F3 to the FF F1 two stages before. As a result, the frequency dividing ratio of the circuit 8 is varied so that the frequency dividing output frequency becomes four times to fast forward a pulse motor 6. Thus, without any use of an external signal source and without temporarily taking out the standard signal generating circuit connected with a crystal oscillator 1, and function tests of the watch can be performed promptly and reliably by the fast forward of the pulse motor 6 without increasing the power consumption.
