- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.音響を減衰させる方法であって、 (a)有機極細繊維および熱活性化可能なステープル繊維を含む不織布ウエブ を含む防音体を用意するステップであって、前記熱活性化可能なステープル繊維 は、様々な接触点で、相互に、且つ前記極細繊維に接着され、前記不織布ウエブ は、0.5センチメートル以上の厚みと、250キログラム毎立方メートル未満 の密度とを有する、ステップと、 (b)防音体の主表面が遮音することができるように音源領域と受音領域との 間に防音体を配置することによって、前記音源領域から前記受音領域を通過する 音響を著しく減衰させるステップと、 を有した方法。 2.前記不織布ウエブは増量ステープル繊維をさらに含む、請求の範囲第1項 に記載の方法。 3.前記不織布ウエブは0.75から20センチメートルまでの範囲の厚みで ある、請求の範囲第1項に記載の方法。 4.前記不織布ウエブは1から10センチメートルまでの範囲の厚みである、 請求の範囲第3項に記載の方法。 5.前記不織布ウエブは2から5センチメートルまでの範囲の厚みである、請 求の範囲第4項に記載の方法。 6.前記不織布ウエブは約6から200キログラム毎立方メートルまでの範囲 の密度を有する、請求の範囲第1項に記載の方法。 7.前記密度は約10から100キログラム毎立方メートルまでの範囲の密度 である、請求の範囲第6項に記載の方法。 8.前記不織布ウエブは15から30キログラム毎立方メートルまでの範囲に ある、請求の範囲第7項に記載の方法。 9.前記不織布ウエブは、1から40ポンド毎平方インチまでの範囲の曲げ強 さを有する、請求の範囲第1項に記載の方法。 10.前記不織布ウエブは、5から20ポンド毎平方インチまでの範囲の曲げ 強さを有する、請求の範囲第9項に記載の方法。 11.前記不織布ウエブは、10から15ポンド毎平方インチまでの範囲の曲 げ強さを有する、請求の範囲第10項に記載の方法。 12.前記不織布ウエブは、50から4,000グラム毎平方メートルまでの 範囲の基本重量を有する、請求の範囲第1項に記載の方法。 13.前記不織布ウエブは、150から2,000グラム毎平方メートルまで の範囲の基本重量を有する、請求の範囲第12項に記載の方法。 14.前記不織布ウエブは、200から1,000グラム毎平方メートルまで の範囲の基本重量を有する、請求の範囲第13項に記載の方法。 15.前記不織布ウエブは、0.1から15ミリメートルH2Oの空気圧力降 下を示す、請求の範囲第1項に記載の方法。 16.前記不織布ウエブは、0.2ミリメートルH2Oよりも大きな空気圧力 降下を示す、請求の範囲第1項に記載の方法。 17.前記不織布ウエブは、0.3ミリメートルH2Oよりも大きな圧力降下 を示す、請求の範囲第16項に記載の方法。 18.前記不織布ウエブは、0.5から4までの範囲の固体性パーセントを有 する、請求の範囲第8項に記載の方法。 19.前記不織布ウエブは、1から3までの範囲の固体性パーセントを有する 、請求の範囲第19項に記載の方法。 20.前記不織布ウエブは、1.5から2.5までの範囲の固体性パーセント を有する、請求の範囲第19項に記載の方法。 21.前記不織布ウエブは、2から20マイクロメートルまでの範囲の平均有 効繊維径を有する、請求の範囲第1項に記載の方法。 22.前記不織布ウエブは、5から17マイクロメートルまでの範囲の平均有 効繊維径を有する、請求の範囲第21項に記載の方法。 23.前記不織布ウエブは、7から16マイクロメートルまでの範囲の平均有 効繊維径を有する、請求の範囲第22項に記載の方法。 24.前記不織布ウエブは、該ウエブ内の繊維材料の重量に基づき、10から 99重量パーセントまでの範囲の有機極細繊維および1から90重量パーセント までの範囲の熱活性化可能なステープル繊維を含む、請求の範囲第1項に記載の 方法。 25.前記不織布ウエブは、該ウエブ内の繊維材料の重量に基づき、15から 98重量パーセントまでの範囲の有機極細繊維、20から70重量パーセントま での範囲の熱活性化可能なステープル繊維、および1から30重量パーセントま での増量ステープル繊維を含む、請求の範囲第2項に記載の方法。 26.前記不織布ウエブは、20から70重量パーセントまでの範囲の有機極 細繊維、30から50重量パーセントまでの範囲の熱活性化可能なけん縮ステー プル繊維、および3から6重量パーセントまでの範囲のけん縮増量ステープル繊 維を含む、請求の範囲第25項に記載の方法。 27.前記有機極細繊維は、1から25マイクロメートルまでの範囲の直径で あるメルトブローン極細繊維から形成される、請求の範囲第1項に記載の方法。 28.前記メルトブローン極細繊維は、約2から15マイクロメートルまでの 範囲の直径であり、前記熱活性化可能なステープル繊維は、1から10回までの 範囲のけん縮数毎センチメートルを有するけん縮繊維である、請求の範囲第27 項に記載の方法。 29.前記熱活性化可能なステープル繊維は、3から5回までの範囲のけん縮 数毎センチメートルを有し、前記増量ステープル繊維は、けん縮され、1から1 0回までの範囲のけん縮数毎センチメートル、3から75までの範囲のデニール 、および2から15センチメートルまでの範囲の平均長さを有する、請求の範囲 第2項に記載の方法。 30.前記有機極細繊維は、約55重量パーセントで前記ウエブ内に存在する ポリプロピレンメルトブローン極細繊維である、前記熱活性化可能なステープル 繊維は、コポリエステル鞘およびポリエステル芯を有し、約40.5重量パーセ ントで前記不織布ウエブ内に存在する2成分繊維であり、前記増量ステープル繊 維は、約4.5重量パーセントで前記不織布ウエブ内に存在する50デニールの ポリエステルテレフタレートけん縮増量ステープル繊維である、請求の範囲第2 項に記載の方法。 31.熱活性化可能なステープル繊維は、15から75ミリメートルまでの範 囲の長さを有する、請求の範囲第1項に記載の方法。 32.不織布繊維を含む防音体であって、 (a)有機極細繊維と、 (b)増量ステープル繊維と、 (c)様々な接触点で、相互に、且つ繊維(a)および(b)に接着される熱 活性化可能なステープル繊維と、を含む防音体。 33.前記不織布ウエブは、0.75から20センチメートルまでの範囲の厚 みで、6から200キログラム毎立方メートルまでの範囲の密度、1から40ポ ンド毎平方インチまでの曲げ強さ、および50から4、000グラム毎平方メー トルの基本重量を有し、0.1から15ミリメートルH2Oまでの範囲の空気圧 力降下を示し、0.5から4までの範囲の固体性パーセント、および2から20 マ イクロメートルまでの範囲の平均有効繊維径を有する、請求の範囲第32項に記 載の防音体。 34.前記不織布ウエブは、1から10センチメートルまでの範囲の厚みで、 10から100キログラム毎立方メートルまでの範囲の密度、5から20ポンド 毎平方インチまでの曲げ強さ、および150から2、000グラム毎平方メート ルの基本重量を有し、0.2ミリメートルH2Oよりも大きな空気圧力降下を示 し、1から3までの範囲の固体性パーセント、および5から17マイクロメート ルまでの範囲の平均有効繊維径を有する、請求の範囲第33項に記載の方法。 35.前記不織布ウエブは、15から98重量パーセントまでの範囲の有機極 細繊維、20から70重量パーセントまでの範囲の熱活性化可能なステープル繊 維、および1から30重量パーセントまでの範囲の増量ステープル繊維を含む、 請求の範囲第32項に記載の防音体。 36.前記不織布ウエブは、20から78重量パーセントまでの範囲の有機極 細繊維、30から50重量パーセントまでの範囲の熱活性化可能なけん縮ステー プル繊維、および3から6重量パーセントまでの範囲のけん縮増量ステープル繊 維を含む、請求の範囲第32項に記載の防音体。 37.前記有機極細繊維は、1から25マイクロメートルまでの範囲の直径で あるメルトブローン極細繊維から形成される、請求の範囲第32項に記載の防音 体。 38.前記メルトブローン極細繊維は、約2から15マイクロメートルまでの 範囲の直径であり、前記熱活性化可能なステープル繊維は、1から10回までの 範囲のけん縮数毎センチメートルを有するけん縮繊維である、請求の範囲第32 項に記載の方法。 39.前記熱活性化可能なステープル繊維は、3から5回までの範囲のけん縮 数毎センチメートルを有し、前記増量ステープル繊維はけん縮され、1から10 回までの範囲のけん縮数毎センチメートル、3から75マイクロメートルまでの 範囲のデニール、および2から15センチメートルまでの範囲の平均長さを有す る、請求の範囲第32項に記載の方法。 40.前記有機極細繊維は、約55重量パーセントでウエブ内に存在するポリ プロピレンメルトブローン極細繊維であり、前記熱活性化可能なステープル繊維 は、コポリエステル鞘およびポリエステル芯を有し、約40.5重量パーセント で前記不織布ウエブ内に存在する2成分繊維であり、前記増量ステープル繊維は 、約4.5重量パーセントで前記不織布ウエブ内に存在する50デニールのポリ エステルテレフタレートけん縮増量ステープル繊維である、請求の範囲第32項 に記載の方法。
