ル11の裏面から突出した円筒体の外径より若干小径の
接続孔21を穿設する。次に、分岐管継手1のサドル1
1の裏面と円筒体13の外周面、及び本管2に穿設した
接続孔21の周壁面とその周縁外壁面に加熱板3を当て
がって同時に溶融させたのち、分岐管継手の裏面から突
出した円筒体13を本管2の接続孔21に嵌挿し、円筒
体21の外周面を接続孔21の周壁面に融着すると共
に、サドル11の裏面を接続孔21の周縁外壁面に押し
付けて融着する。

【発明の詳細な説明】

【発明の属する技術分野】本発明は、合成樹脂製本管か
ら枝管を取り出す際に、合成樹脂製分岐管継手を本管の
外壁面に確実、かつ強固に融着接合できる方法に関す
る。

【従来の技術】従来からポリエチレン製の本管から枝管
を取り出す場合には、図4に断面図で示した分岐管継手
1aが使用されている。この分岐管継手1aは略半円弧
状に湾曲した分岐サドル11の上面から分岐管12が一
体的に突出した構成からなっており、この分岐管継手1
aを本管2aの外壁面に接続する際には、本管2aの管
壁適所に接続孔21を穿設し、該接続孔21の周縁外壁
面と、分岐サドル11の裏面とを同時に加熱して溶融さ
せたのち、分岐サドル11の裏面を接続孔21の周縁外
壁面に押し付けて融着接合していた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】しかしながら、この従
来継手には位置決め手段が設けられていないため、分岐
サドル11の裏面を本管2aの外壁面に押し付けて融着
接合するとき、本管2aの接続孔21と分岐管継手1a
の連通孔14が位置ずれすることがあった。この問題を
回避するため、本管2aの外壁適所に分岐サドル11の
裏面を融着接合したのち、分岐管継手1aの連通孔14
に穿孔ドリルを通して連通孔14と合致した位置に接続
孔21を穿設することも行われている。ところが、この
施工方法の場合には、分岐管継手1aの取り付け位置が
正確でないと分岐管12の接続方向等が変動することに
よって、分岐管12に枝管をうまく接続できないことが
あった。
【0004】本発明はかかる課題を解決したものであっ
て、本管に分岐管継手を確実かつ強固に融着接合できる
と共に、分岐管継手に枝管を確実に接続できる分岐管継
手の融着方法を提供するものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】本発明は、略半円弧状に
湾曲したサドルの上面から分岐管が一体的に突出すると
共に、サドルの裏面に円筒体が一体的に突出した合成樹
脂製分岐管継手を合成樹脂製本管の外壁面に融着接合す
るにあたり、まず本管の管壁適所に分岐管継手のサドル
裏面から突出した円筒体の外径より若干小径の接続孔を
穿設する。次に、分岐管継手のサドルの裏面と円筒体の
外周面、及び本管に穿設した接続孔の周壁面とその周縁
外壁面に加熱板を当てがって同時に溶融させたのち、分
岐管継手の裏面から突出した円筒体を本管に穿設した接
続孔に嵌挿し、円筒体の外周面を接続孔の周壁面に融着
すると共に、サドルの裏面を接続孔の周縁外壁面に押し
付けて融着することを特徴とする。

にて詳細に説明する。図1は本発明の一実施例を示す展
開状態の断面図、図2は加熱工程を示す断面図、図3は
分岐管継手を本管に融着接合した状態を示す断面図であ
って、図中の1はポリエチレン、ポリブテン等の合成樹
脂からなる分岐管継手、2は分岐管継手と同種の合成樹
脂からなる本管、3は加熱板である。
【0007】分岐管継手1はインジェクションによる一
体成形によって得られるものであって、略半円弧状に湾
曲したサドル11の上面から分岐管12が一体的に突出
すると共に、サドル11の裏面に円筒体13が一体的に
突出している。前記サドル11の裏面は本管2の外壁面
とほぼ等しい曲率の湾曲面に形成されており、後述する
融着接合の際にサドル11の裏面が本管2の外壁面と緊
密に密着するように形成されている。
【0008】本発明では、分岐管継手1を本管2に融着
接合するにあたり、まず本管2の外壁適所に接続孔21
を穿設する。このとき、本管2の外壁適所に枝管の取り
出し位置を正確に罫書き、図示しない穿孔ドリルを用い
て接続孔21を穿設する。次に、加熱板3を用いて、分
岐管継手1と本管2との接合面とを同時に加熱溶融す
る。
【0009】前記加熱板3はヒータ本体30と上型31
と下型32とからなり、ヒータ本体30の上面に分岐管
継手1を加熱する上型31が設けられており、その下面
に本管2を加熱する下型32が設けられている。上型3
1にはサドル11の裏面と等しい曲率を有する凸状湾曲
面311と、サドル11の裏面から突出した円筒体13
の外周面と密着嵌合する凹部312とが設けられてい
る。また、下型32には本管2の外壁面と等しい曲率を
有する凹状湾曲面321と、サドル11の裏面から突出
した円筒体13の外周面とほぼ同径の突起部32とが設
けられている。
【0010】図2に示した如く、加熱工程では、分岐管
継手1のサドル11の裏面と本管2の外壁面との間に加
熱板3を介在させ、ヒータ本体30を発熱させて分岐管
継手1のサドル11の裏面と円筒体13の外周面、及び
本管2に穿設した接続孔21の周壁面とその周縁外壁面
とを同時に溶融させる。そこで、分岐管継手1を加熱板
3から引き離すと共に、加熱板3を本管2から引き離し
てから素早く分岐管継手1の円筒体13を本管2の接続
孔21に嵌挿し、サドル11の裏面を本管2の外壁面に
押し付ける。すると、円筒体13の外周面が接続孔21
の周壁面に融着すると共に、サドル11の裏面が接続孔
21の周縁外壁面と融着し、分岐管継手1と本管2とが
強固に接合する。

【発明の効果】以上詳述した如く、本発明によれば本管
の正確な位置に分岐管継手を確実かつ強固に融着接合す
ることができる。即ち、本発明では分岐管継手を本管に
接合する前に本管の管壁に接続孔を穿設するので、枝管
の取り出し位置にあった正確な位置に接続孔を穿設する
ことができる。また、本発明では分岐管継手を本管に接
合する際に、サドルの裏面から突出した円筒部を接続孔
に嵌挿するので、融着作業の途中で分岐管継手が位置ず
れすることもない。しかも、円筒部の外周面が接続孔の
周壁面に融着すると共に、サドルの裏面が接続孔の周縁
外壁面に融着するため、従来継手と比較して2倍の融着
強度が得られる。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項1】 略半円弧状に湾曲したサドルの上面から
    分岐管が一体的に突出すると共に、サドルの裏面に円筒
    体が一体的に突出した合成樹脂製分岐管継手を合成樹脂
    製本管の外壁面に融着接合するにあたり、次の各工程か
    らなることを特徴とする分岐管継手の融着方法。 本管の管壁適所に分岐管継手のサドル裏面から突出し
    た円筒体の外径より若干小径の接続孔を穿設すること、 分岐管継手のサドルの裏面と円筒体の外周面、及び本
    管に穿設した接続孔の周壁面とその周縁外壁面に加熱板
    を当てがって同時に溶融させること、 分岐管継手の裏面から突出した円筒体を本管に穿設し
    た接続孔に嵌挿し、円筒体の外周面を接続孔の周壁面に
    融着すると共に、サドルの裏面を接続孔の周縁外壁面に
    押し付けて融着すること、
