Description

【考案の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本考案は、電気融着式合成樹脂製分岐管継手に関し、詳
しくは、ガス等を送流する合成樹脂管、特に中密度ポリ
エチレン管に分岐部を形成したり、その欠陥部を補修す
る際に使用する合成樹脂製の分岐管継手に関する。
〔従来の技術〕
従来から、合成樹脂管の途中に欠陥部を生じた場合や、
分岐管を取出す場合には、まず該部分の両側の所定位置
で管を挟持して送流を止め、欠陥部や分岐部形成に必要
な部分を切取り、次いで、該切取り部に新しい短管や所
定の継手を挿入し、その一端をバット融着するとともに
他端をメカニカル継手で接続することが行われている。
〔考案が解決しようとする課題〕
従って、欠陥部を補修したり、分岐管を取出す際には、
合成樹脂管の前後2か所を切断して切取り、新しい短管
等を挿入した後にその両端の2か所を接続する必要があ
り、工数が多く手間がかかっていた。
そこで本考案は、合成樹脂管を切取ることなく欠陥部の
補修や、分岐管の取出しを容易に行うことができる分岐
管継手を提供することを目的としている。
〔課題を解決するための手段〕
上記した目的を達成するために、本考案の合成樹脂製分
岐管継手は、合成樹脂管の管壁に穿設された貫通孔に嵌
合する筒部と分岐部とからなる管状の継手本体部と、該
継手本体部の外周に突出して前記貫通孔の口縁部外面に
当接する係止段部とからなり、前記分岐部の内周面に熱
線を埋設するとともに、その奥側に被接続部材の端部が
当接する接続段部を形成し、また前記貫通孔の口縁部外
面と当接する係止段部の下面と、前記筒部の外周面とに
熱線を埋設したことを特徴としている。
〔作用〕
上記のごとく形成した分岐管継手の筒部を合成樹脂管の
貫通孔に嵌合し、また分岐部に被接続部材を挿入して熱
線に通電すると、分岐管継手と合成樹脂管とが融着接合
し、分岐管継手と被接続部材とが融着接合する。
〔実施例〕
以下、本考案の一実施例を図面に基づいて説明する。
第1図は本考案の分岐管継手を欠陥部の補修に適用した
一実施例を示す断面図、第2図は同じく分岐管の取出し
に適用した一実施例を示す断面図である。
第1図及び第2図に示すように、本考案の分岐管継手1
は、筒部21と分岐部22とからなる管状の継手本体部2
と、該本体部2の外周全周に突設した係止段部3とから
なっている。継手本体部2の分岐部22の内周面には、熱
線4が埋設されており、その奥側には被接続部材の端面
が当接する接続段部5が形成され、該接続段部5にも熱
線4が埋設されている。この分岐管継手1は、該分岐管
継手1が取付けられる合成樹脂管6と熱融着が可能なポ
リエチレン樹脂等の合成樹脂により形成されている。
一方、上記係止段部3の下面は、合成樹脂管6の外周面
と同一の円弧面に形成されており、該円弧面に熱線4が
埋設されている。また筒部21の外周面にも熱線4が埋設
されている。この分岐管継手1の分岐部22には、閉塞用
の蓋部材7(第1図)あるいは分岐管8(第2図)等の
被接続部材が挿入接続されるものであり、蓋部材7ある
いは分岐管8の端部が前記接続段部5に当接密着するよ
うに形成されている。
分岐管継手1の内部に埋設される熱線4は、該熱線4に
通電することにより発熱し、分岐管継手1と合成樹脂管
6及び蓋部材7あるいは継手8とを溶融させるニクロム
線等の金属線であって、該熱線4の両端部は、通電用端
子として分岐管継手1の外部に引出されている(図示せ
ず)。この熱線4を分岐管継手1に埋設する手段は、例
えば特開昭63-254296号公報に記載されている印刷法
等、適宜な手段により行うことができる。
上記分岐管継手1を合成樹脂管6に取付ける際には、ま
ず合成樹脂管6の管壁に前記筒部21の外径と略同径の貫
通孔6aを形成する。そして、この貫通孔6aに筒部21を嵌
合して係止段部3の下面を貫通孔6aの口縁部外面に当接
密着させるとともに、該分岐部22に蓋部材7あるいは継
手8を挿入し、その端部を前記接続段部5に密着させ
る。次いで前記熱線4に通電し、各部品を熱融着して固
定する。
このように、本考案の分岐管継手1は、合成樹脂管6に
所定形状の貫通孔6aを形成するだけで容易に取付けるこ
とができ、合成樹脂管6の切断や接続等を行う必要がな
く、合成樹脂管6の補修作業や分岐管の取出し作業の能
率を向上させることができる。従って、合成樹脂管6の
欠陥部を補修する場合には、該欠陥部の両側を挟着して
閉塞し、次いで欠陥部に所定形状の貫通孔を形成し、上
記のごとく分岐管継手1と蓋部材7とを取付けて熱融着
させるだけで欠陥部の補修閉塞を行うことができる。
〔考案の効果〕
以上説明したように、本考案の分岐管継手は、管状の継
手本体部に、外周の係止段部と内周の接続段部とを形成
し、内部に熱線を埋設したから、分岐管継手の継手本体
部を嵌合できる貫通孔を合成樹脂管に形成するだけで分
岐管継手の取付けを行うことができ、合成樹脂管の切断
や接続等を行う必要がなくなり、欠陥部の補修や分岐管
の取出しを容易に行うことができる。
また、本考案の分岐管継手は、前記係止段部の下面と貫
通孔の口縁部外面とが融着接合し、該貫通孔の孔壁面と
筒部の外周面とが融着接合するので、合成樹脂管の外周
面から剥離することなく、強固に接合する。

  1. 【請求項1】合成樹脂管の管壁に穿設された貫通孔に嵌
    合する筒部と分岐部とからなる管状の継手本体部と、該
    継手本体部の外周に突出して前記貫通孔の口縁部外面に
    当接する係止段部とからなり、前記分岐部の内周面に熱
    線を埋設するとともに、その奥側に被接続部材の端部が
    当接する接続段部を形成し、また前記貫通孔の口縁部外
    面と当接する係止段部の下面と、前記筒部の外周面とに
    熱線を埋設したことを特徴とする電気融着式合成樹脂製
    分岐管継手。
