(57)【要約】 （修正有） 【課題】 オンラインショッピングにおいて、サービス
プロバイダがオンライン広告の有効性を把握する。 【解決手段】 ユーザがユーザ端末２２からＷＷＷ（登
録商標）ブラウザを用い、インターネット２４上でオン
ライン広告システム２１の広告をアクセスすると、ＷＷ
Ｗサーバは商店２３のフリーダイヤル（登録商標）を含
む広告をユーザ端末２２に送り、アクセス情報をログと
して取得する。ユーザがフリーダイヤルに電話すると
、フリーダイヤル制御装置２５はフリーダイヤルのア
クセス情報をログ２６として取得し、ユーザからの電
話を商店２３の実際の電話番号につなぐ。取引が成立
すると商品がユーザに配送される。フリーダイヤルの
ログ２６の内容はサービスプロバイダに通知され、サ
ービスプロバイダはＷＷＷサーバとフリーダイヤルのア
クセスログを集計／分析し商店２３に通知する。

【発明の詳細な説明】
【０００１】
【発明の属する技術分野】本発明は、ネットワークを利
用したオンラインショッピングにおいて、商品やサービ
ス等の広告情報をネットワーク上に流すオンライン広告
システムおよびその方法に関する。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】現在、インターネットを利用したオンラ
インショッピングにおいては、ＷＷＷ（world wide we
b）サーバをアクセスする様々なユーザのニーズを把握
するために、ＷＷＷサーバはそのアクセスログなどの情
報を取得している。このようなオンラインショッピング
の中で商品やサービス等の広告を提供するシステムで
は、ユーザは既存メディア（ＦＡＸや電話の問い合わ
せ）を利用して、ＷＷＷサーバ上に掲載された商品やサ
ービスの注文／購入を行う。
【０００３】図６は、従来のオンラインショッピングを
示している。図６において、ＷＷＷサーバを備えたサー
ビスプロバイダのシステム１は、インターネット４を介
して、ＷＷＷブラウザを備えたユーザ端末２に接続され
ている。ＷＷＷブラウザとは、ユーザ端末２の画面上で
ポインティング・デバイスを用いてクリック操作を行う
ことにより、インターネット４上で関連情報のあるサイ
トや目的とするファイルへ簡単にジャンプできる機能を
持つソフトウェアである。図６では、次の順序でオンラ
インショッピングが行われる。 インターネット４上で、ユーザがＷＷＷサーバの広
告をアクセス（参照）する。 ユーザが、気に入った商品を実際の店舗３（××商
店）に電話をかけて注文する。このとき、広告に掲載さ
れた商店３の通常の電話番号０２７２−５２−８０００
が用いられる。 商店３とユーザが話をし、取引が成立すると、商品
が商店３より配送される。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】しかしながら、上述の
ような従来のオンラインショッピングには次のような問
題がある。
【０００５】掲載した商品等の広告に対するアクセス頻
度はＷＷＷサーバのアクセスログからある程度判って
も、注文／購入に関する情報がＷＷＷサーバ上を通らな
いため、実際にアクセスしたユーザの中で何人が商品を
購入したか（ヒット率）が不明である。商品がどの程度
売れたかをプロバイダが知るには、実在する店舗に直接
聞く必要がある。しかし、新聞や雑誌広告などのオンラ
イン広告以外の方法で宣伝を実施している店舗では、ユ
ーザの商品購入の動機がインターネット上の広告による
ものか、その他の情報によるものか、判断がつかない場
合が多い。このため、店舗から商品の売れ行きを聞き出
しても、プロバイダがオンライン広告の有効性を確認す
ることは難しいという問題がある。
【０００６】また、たとえ店舗がインターネット用に別
口の電話番号を開設しても、その電話番号にかかってき
た電話の受信の回数程度しか分からない。したがって、
店舗自身が意識的に受信電話の統計を取る手間をかけな
ければ、上述の問題は解決しない。
【０００７】本発明は、ネットワークを利用したオンラ
インショッピングにおいて、サービスプロバイダがオン
ライン広告の有効性を把握することが可能なオンライン
広告システムおよびその方法を提供することを目的とす
る。
【０００８】
【課題を解決するための手段】図１は、本発明のオンラ
イン広告システムの原理図である。図１のオンライン広
告システムはネットワークに接続された情報処理システ
ムにより実現され、広告情報記憶手段１１、通信手段１
２、ログ情報記憶手段１３、および解析手段１４を備え
る。
【０００９】広告情報記憶手段１１は、上記広告主につ
ながるフリーダイヤルのアクセス番号を含む広告情報を
記憶する。通信手段１２は、上記ネットワークを介して
ユーザ端末から上記広告情報のアクセス要求を受け取っ
た時、その広告情報をユーザ端末に送信する。
【００１０】上記広告情報に含まれるアクセス番号は、
例えば電話やＦＡＸ（ファクシミリ）等のフリーダイヤ
ルの番号であり、商品やサービスを提供する広告主にユ
ーザが注文を出す際に用いられる。一般に、フリーダイ
ヤルの請求書からはその番号の通話数を知ることができ
るので、オンライン広告サービスのプロバイダは広告の
反響を調べることが可能となる。例えば、ユーザがフリ
ーダイヤルを用いて広告主にアクセスした回数や時刻を
統計データとして採取し、それを広告主に提供すること
が可能となる。
【００１１】ログ情報記憶手段１３は、上記広告情報に
対するユーザのアクセスに関する第１のアクセス情報を
記憶し、通信手段１２は、上記広告情報を上記ユーザ端
末に送信した時、その第１のアクセス情報をログ情報記
憶手段１３に格納する。
【００１２】インターネット上のオンラインショッピン
グの場合、ユーザがＷＷＷブラウザを用いてどのホーム
ページのどの部分にアクセスしたかを示すログ情報が、
第１のアクセス情報としてログ情報記憶手段１３に記憶
される。
【００１３】そして、解析手段１４は、上記フリーダイ
ヤルのアクセス番号に対するアクセスに関する第２のア
クセス情報を受け取り、第１および第２のアクセス情報
の解析を行って、解析結果を出力する。
【００１４】第２のアクセス情報としては、例えばフリ
ーダイヤルの請求書が用いられる。この第２のアクセス
情報に含まれる通話記録の数とログ情報記憶手段１３に
記憶された第１のアクセス情報に含まれるアクセス記録
の数とから、対応する広告情報に対する有効なアクセス
数を推定することができる。解析手段１４は、この有効
なアクセス数に関する情報を解析結果として出力する。
出力された解析結果は、必要に応じてプロバイダから広
告主に提供される。
【００１５】例えば、図１の広告情報記憶手段１１とロ
グ情報記憶手段１３は、実施形態における図２のオンラ
イン広告システム２１を構成する計算機のメモリに対応
する。また、通信手段１２と解析手段１４は、その計算
機の処理装置に対応する。

【発明の実施の形態】以下、図面を参照しながら本発明
の実施の形態を詳細に説明する。図２は、本発明の実施
形態におけるオンラインショッピングを示している。図
２において、ＷＷＷサーバを備えたサービスプロバイダ
のオンライン広告システム２１は、インターネット２４
を介して、ＷＷＷブラウザを備えたユーザ端末２２に接
続されている。オンライン広告システム２１は、ＣＰＵ
（中央処理装置）やメモリを備える計算機を含み、イン
ターネット２４上のプロバイダのホームページNetmart
に広告情報を掲載する。図２では、次の順序でオンライ
ンショッピングが行われる。 ユーザが、ユーザ端末２２からＷＷＷブラウザを用
いて、インターネット２４上でＷＷＷサーバのオンライ
ン広告をアクセス（参照）する。このとき、オンライン
広告システム２１は、××商店２３の商品説明とフリー
ダイヤルの番号０１２０−××××××をユーザ端末２
２の画面上に表示させ、ユーザの識別情報、アクセス時
刻、アクセスしたページ等の情報をアクセスログとして
保持する。 ユーザが、オンライン広告に掲載されたフリーダイ
ヤルに電話をかけて、気に入った商品を注文する。 電話会社（ＮＴＴ）のフリーダイヤル制御装置２５
は、ユーザの電話番号、通話受け付け日および時刻、通
話時間等のフリーダイヤルのアクセス情報をロギング
し、ログ２６として保持する。 フリーダイヤル制御装置２５は、ユーザからの電話
を、フリーダイヤルに対応する××商店２３の実際の店
舗の電話番号０２７２−５２−８０００につなげる。 商店２３とユーザが話をし、取引が成立すると、商
品が商店２３より配送される。 フリーダイヤルのログ２６の内容（課金情報）が、
ＮＴＴからサービスプロバイダに通知される。 サービスプロバイダは必要に応じて、ＷＷＷサーバ
上のアクセスログとフリーダイヤルのアクセスログを集
計／分析し、その結果を広告主である××商店２３に提
供する。
【００１７】本実施形態においては、サービスプロバイ
ダはあらかじめＮＴＴとフリーダイヤル契約を結んでお
き、フリーダイヤルの接続先として広告主の電話番号を
登録しておく。この場合、フリーダイヤルの使用料の請
求書はプロバイダに送られる。プロバイダは、そのフリ
ーダイヤルを私的用途に使用しないように広告主に要請
しておく。私的用途に使用すると、その記録がフリーダ
イヤルのアクセスログに含まれてしまい、請求書等の課
金情報では他のユーザの電話との区別がつかなくなるた
めである。
【００１８】もちろん、広告主自身がＮＴＴとフリーダ
イヤルの契約を実施してもよいが、その場合はログの解
析は広告主が行うことになる。また、プロバイダがフリ
ーダイヤル契約を結び、ＮＴＴから請求された電話料金
を広告主に請求するユーザが店舗へ商品を注文する際に
フリーダイヤルを用いることにより、プロバイダは、ユ
ーザが店舗にコンタクトした回数／時間等の情報をＮＴ
Ｔからの請求書の形で得られる。したがって、これを各
ページのアクセスログと突き合せることにより、インタ
ーネット上での広告の効果が統計的に分析できる。ま
た、フリーダイヤルに電話をかけた場合、ＮＴＴにより
自動的に店舗の電話番号に転送されるので、店舗側はイ
ンターネットを見て電話してきたユーザかどうかを意識
しなくてもよい。
【００１９】図３は、オンラインショッピングに関し
て、サービスプロバイダ側で行う処理のフローチャート
である。図３において処理が開始されると、オンライン
広告システム２１のＷＷＷサーバは、まずフリーダイヤ
ルを掲載したオンライン広告をネットワーク上に流し
（ステップＳ１）、アクセスしてきたユーザのアクセス
ログを取得する（ステップＳ２）。アクセスログは、ユ
ーザのクリック操作により表示されるページが代わる度
に取得される。
【００２０】図４は、ＷＷＷサーバ上でのアクセスログ
の例を示している。図４のアクセスログには、ホスト
名、利用者名、認証名、アクセス日時、リクエスト、ス
テータス、返却したデータ長が含まれる。ホスト名は、
オンライン広告システム２１のホスト計算機名を表し、
利用者名および認証名は、アクセスしてきたユーザの識
別名を表す。また、リクエストは、ユーザがＷＷＷブラ
ウザを用いてリクエストしたＨＴＭＬ（hyper text mak
eup language）ファイルの情報を表し、データ長は、Ｗ
ＷＷサーバがユーザ端末２２に返送したデータの長さを
表す。リクエストの中のＡ．ＨＴＭＬがＨＴＭＬファイ
ルのファイル名に相当する。
【００２１】次に、プロバイダはＮＴＴから、フリーダ
イヤルのアクセスログとして請求書を受け取り、オンラ
イン広告システム２１に入力する（ステップＳ３）。図
５は、フリーダイヤルの請求書の例を示している。図５
の請求書には、フリーダイヤルの番号（不図示）ととも
に、各通話毎の通話月日、通話開始時刻、発信地域名、
通話時間、通話度数、ダイヤル通話料が記載されてい
る。このようにフリーダイヤルの通話料の請求書には、
一定期間の通話度数の合計だけではなく、各通話毎の情
報が記載される。したがって、特定の時間帯に何人から
電話があったかを容易に知ることができる。
【００２２】オンライン広告システム２１は、あらかじ
めプログラミングされた方法でＷＷＷサーバが取得した
アクセスログと、フリーダイヤルのアクセスログとを集
計／分析する（ステップＳ４）。ここでは、例えば、Ｗ
ＷＷサーバのアクセスログから特定の時間帯のアクセス
件数を集計し、フリーダイヤルのアクセスログから同じ
時間帯の通話件数を集計する。そして、その時間帯のNe
tmart へのアクセス件数に対する通話件数の比率（ヒッ
ト率）を計算する。商品等が季節毎に変わる広告の場
合、一定期間毎にヒット率を計算することもできる。
【００２３】そして、プロバイダはログの分析結果を広
告主に通知し（ステップＳ５）、処理を終了する。分析
結果の通知は、オンライン広告システム２１から広告主
の端末に電子メールを送る等の方法によりオンラインで
行ってもよく、また、郵送等の方法により行ってもよ
い。
【００２４】アクセスログに記録されたアクセスの数が
比較的少ない場合は、ステップＳ４でオンライン広告シ
ステム２１がアクセスログを集計／分析する代わりに、
この処理をプロバイダが手計算により行ってもよい。
【００２５】次に、図６から図９までを参照しながら、
図３のステップＳ３、Ｓ４の処理について詳しく説明す
る。図６は、図３のステップＳ３、Ｓ４に対応するログ
解析処理のフローチャートである。図６において処理が
開始されると、まずプロバイダはオンライン広告システ
ム２１にフリーダイヤルの課金情報を入力し、オンライ
ン広告システム２１は入力情報に基づいてフリーダイヤ
ルファイルを作成する（ステップＳ１１）。
【００２６】図７は、この時作成されるフリーダイヤル
ファイルの例を示している。図７のフリーダイヤルファ
イルには、各通話毎に、フリーダイヤル番号、通話月
日、通話開始時刻、通話時間、通話度数、発信地域名、
アクセス有無が記録される。このうち、アクセス有無の
欄はログ解析処理における制御用のフラグとして用いら
れる。
【００２７】次に、オンライン広告システム２１はフリ
ーダイヤル番号をキーとして、あらかじめ作成されてい
る商店管理ファイルから該当する商店の画面のＨＴＭＬ
ファイル名を検索する（ステップＳ１２）。
【００２８】図８は、この時用いられる商店管理ファイ
ルの例を示している。図８の商店管理ファイルには、フ
リーダイヤル番号、商店の識別名、およびフリーダイヤ
ル番号を含む画面（フリーダイヤル画面）のＨＴＭＬフ
ァイル名の対応関係が記録されている。
【００２９】次に、オンライン広告システム２１は、検
索した商店の画面のＨＴＭＬファイル名をキーとして、
該当するオンライン広告のアクセスログを抽出する（ス
テップＳ１３）。そして、抽出した各アクセスログのア
クセス日時を参照し、それらを含む所定時間内（または
所定期間内）にあるフリーダイヤルファイルのレコード
を算出する（ステップＳ１４）。
【００３０】図９は、図６のステップＳ１４で行われる
レコード算出処理のフローチャートである。図９におい
て処理が開始されると、オンライン広告システム２１
は、まず抽出した各アクセスログをそのアクセス日時順
にソートし（ステップＳ２１）、フリーダイヤルファイ
ルのレコードを通話開始時刻順にソートする（ステップ
Ｓ２２）。
【００３１】次に、フリーダイヤルファイルのレコード
を１つずつ取り出し（ステップＳ２３）、取り出したレ
コード内の開始時刻がいずれかのアクセスログ内のアク
セス日時から所定時間内（または所定期間内）かどうか
を判定する（ステップＳ２４）。開始時刻が所定時間内
（または所定期間内）であれば、そのレコードのアクセ
ス有無の欄に「有」のフラグを格納し（ステップＳ２
５）、そうでなければ「無」のフラグを格納する（ステ
ップＳ２６）。
【００３２】次に、そのレコードが最後のレコードかど
うかを判定し（ステップＳ２７）、最後のレコードでな
ければ次のレコードを取り出して（ステップＳ２３）、
ステップＳ２４以降の処理を繰り返す。最後のレコード
であれば処理を終了する。こうして、オンライン広告の
アクセスログから所定時間内にあるフリーダイヤルファ
イルのレコードのアクセス有無の欄が「有」になる。
【００３３】次に、オンライン広告システム２１は、同
じ商店のフリーダイヤル番号を持ち、一定時間内に属す
るフリーダイヤルファイルのレコードの中で、アクセス
有無が「有」となっているレコードの割合を、フリーダ
イヤルファイルのオンラインアクセス率として算出する
（図６、ステップＳ１５）。
【００３４】次に、アクセス有無が「有」となっている
レコード数を、ステップＳ１３で抽出したアクセスログ
数で割って、有効アクセス率（電話のあった率、ヒット
率）を算出し（ステップＳ１６）、処理を終了する。
【００３５】このようなオンライン広告システムによれ
ば、オンライン広告へのアクセス時刻とフリーダイヤル
へのアクセス時刻を比較して、前者のすぐ後に続くフリ
ーダイヤルへの電話を同じユーザによるものと推定する
ことができる。したがって、オンライン広告への総アク
セス数のうち、発注または問い合せにつながった有効な
アクセスの数を統計的に把握することができる。プロバ
イダは分析結果を用いて適切な広告料を設定することが
でき、広告主は分析結果を目安にしてオンライン広告の
効果を他の広告と比較することができる。
【００３６】同じフリーダイヤルを掲載した広告とし
て、通信販売等におけるカタログ広告がある。こうした
広告を見てユーザが電話してきた場合、フリーダイヤル
の請求書は広告主に送られるが、広告に対するアクセス
ログは存在しないので、上述のようなヒット率を容易に
求めることはできない。
【００３７】尚、以上の実施形態において、広告主が必
ずしも店舗を備えた商店である必要はなく、商品やサー
ビスをユーザに提供する任意の事業者がこれに該当し、
商品やサービスの仲介を行う代理業者も広告主になるこ
とができる。また、ユーザが広告主に注文を出す方法は
電話に限られず、ＦＡＸ（ファクシミリ）等のフリーダ
イヤル契約が存在する任意の方法が利用できる。ＦＡＸ
を用いる場合は、オンライン広告にＦＡＸのフリーダイ
ヤルを掲載すればよい。

【発明の効果】本発明によれば、オンラインショッピン
グにおいて、ユーザのオンライン広告へのアクセス情報
と商品等の供給者へのアクセス情報との関係を調べるこ
とが可能になる。これにより、オンライン広告のサービ
スプロバイダまたは広告主は、その広告の有効性を把握
することができる。

Claims (10)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】 ネットワークに接続され、ユーザからの
    アクセスに応じて広告主の広告をオンラインで提供する
    情報処理システムにおいて、 前記広告主につながるフリーダイヤルのアクセス番号を
    含む広告情報を記憶する広告情報記憶手段と、 前記ネットワークを介してユーザ端末から前記広告情報
    のアクセス要求を受け取った時、該広告情報を該ユーザ
    端末に送信する通信手段とを備えることを特徴とするオ
    ンライン広告システム。
  2. 【請求項２】 前記広告情報に対する前記ユーザのアク
    セスに関する第１のアクセス情報を記憶するログ情報記
    憶手段をさらに備え、前記通信手段は、前記広告情報を
    前記ユーザ端末に送信した時、前記第１のアクセス情報
    を前記ログ情報記憶手段に格納することを特徴とする請
    求項１記載のオンライン広告システム。
  3. 【請求項３】 前記フリーダイヤルのアクセス番号に対
    するアクセスに関する第２のアクセス情報を受け取り、
    前記第１および第２のアクセス情報の解析を行って、解
    析結果を出力する解析手段をさらに備えることを特徴と
    する請求項２記載のオンライン広告システム。
  4. 【請求項４】 前記ログ情報記憶手段は、前記広告情報
    に対する前記ユーザのアクセス日時の情報を含む前記第
    １のアクセス情報を記憶し、前記解析手段は、前記フリ
    ーダイヤルのアクセス番号に対するアクセス日時の情報
    を含む前記第２のアクセス情報を受け取り、該第１およ
    び第２のアクセス情報に含まれる日時の関係を解析する
    ことを特徴とする請求項３記載のオンライン広告システ
    ム。
  5. 【請求項５】 前記解析手段は、前記第１のアクセス情
    報が指す広告情報の広告主と、前記第２のアクセス情報
    が指すアクセス番号に対応する広告主とが一致する時、
    前記日時の関係を解析することを特徴とする請求項４記
    載のオンライン広告システム。
  6. 【請求項６】 前記解析手段は、前記第１のアクセス情
    報に含まれるアクセス日時から所定時間内に行われた前
    記アクセス番号に対するアクセスの数を求め、求めたア
    クセス数と前記第１のアクセス情報に含まれるアクセス
    の数とから、前記広告情報に対する有効なアクセスの割
    合を計算することを特徴とする請求項４記載のオンライ
    ン広告システム。
  7. 【請求項７】 前記解析手段は、前記フリーダイヤルの
    アクセス番号の使用料金に関する課金情報に含まれる前
    記第２のアクセス情報を受け取ることを特徴とする請求
    項３記載のオンライン広告システム。
  8. 【請求項８】 前記解析手段は、前記第１のアクセス情
    報に含まれるアクセスの数と前記第２のアクセス情報に
    含まれるアクセスの数とに基づいて、前記広告情報に対
    する有効なアクセスの割合を計算することを特徴とする
    請求項３記載のオンライン広告システム。
  9. 【請求項９】 ネットワークに接続され、ユーザからの
    アクセスに応じて広告主の広告をオンラインで提供する
    情報処理システムにおける記憶媒体であって、 前記ネットワークを介してユーザ端末から広告情報のア
    クセス要求を受け取る手段と、 該アクセス要求に応じて、前記広告主につながるフリー
    ダイヤルのアクセス番号を含む広告情報を前記ユーザ端
    末に送信する手段とを備えることを特徴とする記憶媒
    体。
  10. 【請求項１０】 ネットワークに接続され、ユーザから
    のアクセスに応じて広告主の広告をオンラインで提供す
    る方法において、 前記広告主につながるフリーダイヤルのアクセス番号を
    含む広告情報を保持し、 前記ネットワークを介してユーザ端末から前記広告情報
    のアクセス要求を受け取った時、該広告情報を該ユーザ
    端末に送信することを特徴とするオンライン広告方法。
