Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 (1)複数の予め定められた較正値と基準電圧信号を有する無線装置の送信電力 を補正する方法において、無線装置は複数の周波数で送信および受信し、各周波 数は周波数インデックスを有し、 複数の周波数の第1の利得と、第1の周波数と、第1の周波数の関連する周波 数インデックスとを有する第1の信号を受信し、 第1の信号の受信電力値を決定し、 受信電力値と基準電圧信号に応答して自動利得制御設定点を発生し、 自動利得制御設定点と第1の周波数インデックスに応答して第1の予め定めら れた較正値を選択し、 第1の較正値に応答して第1の利得を調節し、 第2の利得と、第2の周波数インデックスを有する複数の周波数の第2の周波 数とを有する第2の信号を送信し、 第2の信号の送信電力値を決定し、 自動利得制御設定点と第2の周波数インデックスと送信電力値に応答して第2 の較正値を生成し、 第2の較正値に応答して第2の利得を調節するステップを有する方法。 (2)自動利得制御設定点を生成する前に受信電力値をデジタル化し、第1の利 得を調節する前に第1の予め定められた較正値をアナログ値に変換するステップ をさらに含んでいる請求項1記載の方法。 (3)送信電力較正能力を有し、複数の周波数を有する信号を無線により送信し 受信する無線装置であって、各周波数は周波数インデックスを有し、無線装置は 可変利得部を通って信号を送信し、送信増幅器は制御入力を有し可変利得部を通 って信号を受信し、受信増幅器は制御入力を有する無線装置において、 第1の周波数を有する受信信号から第1の電力値を発生するために受信増幅器 に結合されている電力検出器と、 電力値から自動利得制御設定点を生成するために電力検出器に結合されている 積分装置と、 積分装置と受信増幅器に結合し、受信増幅器制御入力に結合され受信増幅器の 利得を調節する受信較正値を、自動利得制御設定点および受信信号の周波数に対 応する第1の周波数インデックスに応答して発生する受信線形化装置と、 第2の周波数を有する送信された信号から第2の電力値を発生するため送信増 幅器に結合されている第2の電力検出器と、 送信増幅器の制御入力に結合され、送信増幅器の利得を調節する送信較正値を 、自動利得制御設定点と、第2の電力値と、第2の周波数に対応する周波数イン デックスとに応答して発生する送信線形化装置とを具備している無線装置。 (4)送信電力較正能力を有する無線装置であって、無線装置は複数の周波数を 有する信号を送信および受信し、各周波数は周波数インデックスを有し、無線装 置は、第1の周波数を有する信号を制御入力を有する可変利得送信増幅器を通っ て送信し、第2の周波数を有する信号を制御入力を有する可変利得受信増幅器を 通って受信する無線装置において、 受信増幅器に結合されて受信信号からデジタル信号を発生する第1のアナログ デジタル変換器と、 第1のアナログデジタル変換器に結合されてデジタル信号から電力値を発生す る電力検出器と、 電力検出器に結合されて電力値から自動利得制御設定点を発生する積分装置と 、 積分装置に結合されて自動利得制御点と第2の周波数に対応する第1の周波数 インデックスに応答して受信較正値を発生する受信線形化装置と、 受信線形化装置に結合されて受信較正値から受信増幅器制御入力に結合し受信 増幅器の利得を変化するためのアナログ受信較正値を発生する第1のデジタルア ナログ変換器と、 送信増幅器に結合されて送信された信号からアナログ電力値を発生する第2の 電力検出器と、 第2の電力検出器に結合されてアナログ電力値からデジタル電力値を発生する 第2のアナログデジタル変換器と、 積分装置に結合されて自動利得制御設定点と、デジタル電力値と、第1の周波 数に対応する周波数インデックスに応答して送信較正値を発生する送信線形化装 置と、 第2の制御入力に結合されて送信較正値から送信増幅器の利得を調節するため のアナログ送信較正値を発生する第2のデジタルアナログ変換器とを具備してい る無線装置。 (5)無線通信システムで動作する無線送信電力を制限する 方法において、無線通信環境は電力制御指令を含んだ無線装置に信号を送信する 少なくとも1つのベース局を有し、無線装置は可変利得増幅器と最大の利得設定 値を有し、 少なくとも1つのベース局から受信した信号に応答して開ループ電力制御値を 決定し、 送信電力制御指令に応答して利得調節信号を決定し、 開ループ電力制御値と利得調節信号とを結合して加算信号を発生し、 最大の利得設定値と加算信号とを比較し、 加算信号が最大の利得設定値以上であるならば、可変利得増幅器を最大の利得 設定値に応答して調節し、 加算信号が最大の利得設定よりも小さいならば、加算信号に応答して可変利得 増幅器を調節するステップを有する方法。 (6)可変利得増幅器の温度に応答して最大の利得設定値を調節するステップを さらに含んでいる請求項5記載の方法。 (7)最大の利得設定値を調節するステップは、 可変利得増幅器で信号を送信し、 送信信号で電力値を検出し、 スケールされた電力信号を発生するために電力値をスケールし、 差信号を発生するためにスケールされた電力信号から最大利得設定値を減算し 、 差信号を最大利得設定値に加算するステップをさらに含んでいる請求項6記載 の方法。 (8)セル環境で動作する無線装置の送信電力を制限する方 法において、セル環境は電力制御指令を無線装置に送信する複数のセルを具備し 、無線装置は可変利得増幅器と最大利得設定値とを有し、 少なくとも1つのセルから受信された信号に応答して開ループ電力制御値を決 定し、 送信電力制御指令に応答して利得調節信号を決定し、 加算信号を発生するために開ループ電力制御値と利得調節信号を結合し、 可変利得増幅器の温度に応答して最大の利得設定値を調節し、 調節された最大の利得設定値と加算信号とを比較し、 加算信号が最大の利得設定値以上であるならば、利得調節信号が送信電力指令 に応答して変化することを禁止し、 加算信号が最大の利得設定値以上であるならば、最大の利得設定に応答して可 変利得増幅器を調節し、 加算信号が最大の利得設定よりも小さいならば、加算信号に応答して可変利得 増幅器を調節するステップを有する方法。 (9)セル環境で動作する無線装置の送信電力を制限する方法において、セル環 境は電力制御指令を無線装置に送信する複数のセルを具備し、無線装置は可変利 得増幅器と、最大利得設定値と、電力制限累積装置とを具備し、 可変利得増幅器により信号を送信し、 送信電力制御指令に応答して利得調節信号を決定し、 送信信号の電力値を検出し、 電力値をデジタル化し、 デジタル電力値を最大の利得設定値と比較し、 デジタル電力値が最大の利得設定値よりも大きいならば、可変利得増幅器の利 得を減少し、 デジタル電力値が最大の利得設定値よりも大きいならば、利得調節信号が送信 電力指令に応答して変化することを禁止するステップを有する方法。 (10)セル環境で動作する無線装置の送信電力を制限する方法において、セル 環境は電力制御指令を無線装置に送信する複数のセルを具備し、無線装置は可変 利得増幅器と、最大利得設定値と、利得調節信号を発生する電力制御指令累積装 置とを有し、 可変利得増幅器により信号を送信し、 送信電力制御指令に応答して利得調節信号を決定し、 送信信号の電力値を検出し、 電力値をデジタル化し、 デジタル電力値を最大の利得設定値と比較し、 デジタル電力値が最大の利得設定値よりも大きいならば、利得調節信号が最大 の利得設定値よりも小さくなるまで予め定められた時間ユニット毎に予め定めら れた量だけ利得調節信号を減少させ、 デジタル電力値が最大の利得設定値以下であるならば、可変利得増幅器の利得 が利得調節信号に応答して変化するステップを有する方法。 (11)セル環境で動作する無線装置の送信電力を制限する方法において、セル 環境は電力制御指令を無線装置に送信す る複数のセルを具備し、無線装置は可変利得増幅器と、最大の利得設定値と、電 力制限累積装置とを具備し、 可変利得増幅器によって信号を送信し、 送信電力制御指令に応答して利得調節信号を決定し、 送信信号の電力値を検出し、 電力値をデジタル化し、 デジタル電力値と最大の利得設定の差を決定し、 利得制御信号を発生するために差を積分し、利得制御信号は予め定められた範 囲に制限されており、 可変利得増幅器を利得制御信号によって調節し、 利得制御信号が予め定められた値よりも小さいならば、利得調節信号が送信電 力指令に応答して可変利得増幅器を変化させることを禁止するステップを有する 方法。 (12)セル環境で動作する無線装置の送信電力を制限する方法において、セル 環境は電力制御指令を無線装置に送信する複数のセルを具備し、無線装置は可変 利得増幅器と、電力制限累積装置とを具備しており、 複数のセルの少なくとも1つから信号を受信し、 信号の電力値を決定し、 信号に応答して閉ループ電力制御値を決定し、 閉ループ電力制御値に応答して制限された利得制御設定値を発生し、制限され た利得制御信号は予め定められた範囲内であり、 利得制御設定値を発生するため、閉ループ電力制御値と電力値と制限された利 得制御設定値を結合し、 利得制御設定に応答して可変利得増幅器を調節するステップを有する方法。
