Claims (36)
- 1.少なくとも1つの固定化分析物捕捉試薬への分析物の結合を検出し、次いで 、該固定化分析物捕捉試薬から未結合物質を洗浄することによって流体試料中の 分析物の存在または量を測定するアッセイを行うための装置であって、(a)細 長い固相流動マトリックス、および(b)第2の領域に結合した分析物を検出す る手段からなり、該流動マトリックスは毛細管流体運動を駆動できる毛細管チャ ンネルからなり、該流動マトリックスはさらに (i)該流体試料を受け入れるのに適合した第1の領域、(ii)該分析物捕捉 試薬が固定化された第2の領域、(iii)該第2の領域から未結合物質を除去 できる液体試薬の適用のための第3の領域;および (iv)高容量能の吸収剤貯蔵器からなり;該第2の領域は、該第1の領域と該 第3の領域との中間、および該吸収剤貯蔵器と該第3の領域との中間に位置し; ここに、該流動マトリックスおよびその該諸領域は、該流体試料を、まず、該細 長い流動マトリックスに沿って該第2の領域に向けておよびそれを通って一の方 向に流動させ、続いて、該液体試薬を、該細長い流動マトリックスに沿って該第 2の領域を通って該吸収剤貯蔵器へと該第1の方向と反対の方向に流動させ、未 結合物質をそれで吸わせるサイズおよび位置としたことを特徴とする当該装置。
- 2.該第2の領域に結合した分析物を検出するための該手段が、検出可能な反応 を受ける試薬よりなり、該液体試薬が少なくとも1つの他の試薬の過剰量ととも に該検出可能な反応の阻害剤の所定の限定量よりなり、これにより、該液体試薬 の流動が該阻害剤をまず該第2の領域へ輸送し、該阻害剤および未結合物質が該 第2の領域から外へ輸送されると、該検出可能な反応が該未結合物質の不存在下 で起こる請求の範囲第1項記載の装置。
- 3.該分析物がウイルス抗原である請求の範囲第1項記載の装置。
- 4.該ウルイス抗原がヒト免疫不全ウイルスに由来する請求の範囲第3項記載の 装置。
- 5.該ウイルス抗原がネコ白血病ウイルスに由来する請求の範囲第3項記載の装 置。
- 6.該抗原がディロフィラリア・イミティス(Dirofilaria imm itis)に由来する請求の範囲第1項記載の装置。
- 7.該装置の使用に先立って、該流動マトリックスと接触させないように該吸収 剤貯蔵器を位置させ、該装置が、さらに、該吸収剤貯蔵器を移動させて該流動マ トリックスと流動状態で接触させるための手段からなる請求の範囲第1項記載の 装置。
- 8.該装置が、さらに、該液体試薬のシールした容器および該容器からの該液体 試薬を該マトリックスの該第3の領域に適用するための手段からなる請求の範囲 第1項記載の装置。
- 9.該液体試薬を該流動マトリックスに適用するための該手段が該容器に穴をあ けるよう位置させかつそれに適合したヤリ状体からなる請求の範囲第8項記載の 装置。
- 10.該液体試薬のシールした容器および該容器からの該液体試薬を該マトリッ クスの該第3の領域に適用するための手段からなり、該吸収剤貯蔵器を移動させ るための該手段が該液体試薬を適用するための該手段に連結しており、それによ り、操作者により該両手段が一回の操作で作動される請求の範囲第7項記載の装 置。
- 11.該液体試薬が洗浄試薬であって、該流動マトリックスが、さらに、検出試 薬の適用のための第4の領域からなり、該第3の領域が該第2の領域と該第4の 領域との中間に位置する請求の範囲第1項または第2項記載の装置。
- 12.さらに、シールした検出試薬貯蔵容器および該流動マトリックスの該第4 の領域に対して基部側に位置させたシールした洗浄試薬貯蔵容器からなる請求の 範囲第11項記載の装置。
- 13.該検出試薬を適用するための該手段が該液体試薬を適用するための該手段 に連結し、それにより、両試薬は操作者により一回の操作で適用される請求の範 囲第12項記載の装置。
