(57)【要約】 【目的】 体液吸収性物品の表面シートに設けた導液管
の変形を防止する。 【構成】 表面シート２を肌接触域１４と導液管１３と
を有する上面シート７、および上面シート７の下面側に
位置する下面シート８によって構成する。下面シート８
は、導液管１３の下面開口１２周縁において上面シート
７に融着し、導液管１３の変形を拘束する。

Description

【発明の詳細な説明】
【０００１】
【産業上の利用分野】この発明は、生理用ナプキン、使
い捨ておむつ、トレイニングパンツなどの体液吸収性物
品に使用する透液性表面シートに関する。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】体液吸収性物品の透液性表面シートにつ
いては、このシートをプラスチックフィルムや不織布で
つくり、シートの上面から下面方向へ延出する多数の導
液管を設け、シートの上面を肌に接触させる一方、導液
管の下面開口を吸収性コアに接触させておき、導液管に
生ずる毛管作用を利用して体液をこの吸収性コアへ導く
技術が公知である。
【０００３】例えば、特公昭５７−１７０８１号公報に
は、ポリエチレンフィルム製の表面シートに断面が円錐
形の先細毛細管を設け、毛細管先端を吸収性コアに密に
接触させて使用する技術が開示されている。
【０００４】特開昭６０−２５９２６１号公報には、プ
ラスチックフィルム製の表面シートに真直ぐな筒状の導
液管を設け、導液管の先端を吸収性コアの中にまで延ば
して使用する技術と、表面シートの下面に接着してある
繊維層の繊維を導液管の中へ延ばしておく技術とが開示
されている。この筒状の導液管は、円錐形の導液管に比
べて軸方向の大きい負荷に耐えることができるから、そ
れだけ変形しにくく、また、導液管の中へ延ばした繊維
は毛管現象によって体液を吸収性コアへ速やかに導くこ
とができる。
【０００５】特開平４−１５２９４５号公報には、導液
管の下面開口端に高密度部分、またはリブを形成する技
術が開示されている。この技術によれば、導液管の開口
形状が容易に変形したり、圧潰したりすることがなく、
吸収性コアに体液を効果的に導くことができる。
【０００６】
【発明が解決しようとする課題】表面シートは、柔軟な
肌触りを重視するものであり、前記従来の表面シートも
薄手で柔軟な素材を加工してつくられている。そのため
に前記特公昭５７−１７０８１号や特開昭６０−２５９
２６１号に開示される円錐形や筒状の導液管は、その下
面開口である自由端が変形し易く、例えば物品着用中に
僅かな体圧を受けただけで導液管が閉塞し、体液の円滑
な吸収を阻害するという問題がある。導液管を筒状にす
ることで、軸方向の圧縮力に耐える効果を奏することが
できても、導液管は所詮柔軟であるから、その軸に対し
て横方向の力には抗し難く、導液管が閉塞し易いことに
変りはない。特開平４−１５２９４５号の技術によれ
ば、導液管が閉塞する問題を改善できるが、表面シート
の厚みや導液管の大きさは、いずれも微細な寸法であっ
て、この技術が求めるように導液管の下面開口端にのみ
高密度部分やリブを設けることが必ずしも容易でないと
いう問題がある。
【０００７】そこで、この発明は、表面シートを第１シ
ートとその下面側に位置せしめた第２シートとによって
構成し、第１シートに導液管を設ける一方、第２シート
を導液管の下面開口周縁に融着させて導液管の変形を拘
束することにより前記従来技術の問題を解決することを
課題にしている。
【０００８】
【課題を解決するための手段】この発明が前記課題を解
決するために手段とするところは、以下のとおりであ
る。
【０００９】この発明が前提とするのは、上面開口と下
面開口とを有し、下方向へ延出する多数の導液管と、そ
れら導液管の上面開口の周縁に連続する肌接触域とを有
する体液吸収性物品の表面シートである。
【００１０】かかる前提において、前記表面シートを導
液管と肌接触域とを備える第１シートと、第１シートの
下面側に位置する第２シートとによって構成する。第１
シートは熱可塑性プラスチックフィルムおよび熱可塑性
繊維を融着させた不織布のうちのいずれかであり、一方
第２シートは、熱可塑性繊維を融着させた不織布であっ
て、この第２シートが導液管の下面開口の周縁に融着す
るとともに、下面開口においては個々の繊維にほぐれて
導液管の管壁に沿って管内に延出し、下面開孔とその周
縁近傍を除いては第１シートから離隔していることによ
り、表面シートの厚み方向断面において第１シートとと
ともに空洞を形成していること、がこの発明の特徴であ
る。
【００１１】この発明の好ましい実施態様において、第
１シートが疎水性であり、第２シートが親水性である。
【００１２】
【作用】このように構成した表面シートは、例えば、導
液管を設けた第１シートの下面側にメルトブロー繊維を
吹きつけてメルトブロー不織布を形成することにより得
られるもので、導液管の下面開口周縁にはこのメルトブ
ロー繊維が融着して開口周縁の変形を拘束している。ま
た、導液管の上、下面開口の周縁には、各々第１シート
と第２シートとが連続しており、導液管は、軸方向の力
はもとより、横方向の力に対しても極めて変形しにくく
なり、容易に閉塞することがない。
【００１３】導液管に流入した体液は、下面開口に到達
すると、下面開口に接触する部分の吸収性コアに吸収さ
れる一方、第２シートにおいてその面方向に拡散し、第
２シートに接触する部分の吸収性コアにも吸収される。
かかる拡散により湿った第２シートは、下面開口周縁で
第１シートに融着しているが、その他の部位では第１シ
ートから離隔しており、着用者に湿潤感を与えることが
ない。

【実施例】この発明に係る吸収性物品の表面シートの詳
細を添付の図面に基づいて説明すると、以下のとおりで
ある。
【００１５】図１は、生理用ナプキン１の斜視図であっ
て一部が切り欠いてある。ナプキン１は、透液性の表面
シート２、不透液性の裏面シート３、およびこれら両シ
ート２，３間に介在する吸収性コア４で構成してある。
表面シート２は、吸収性コア４の全体を被覆しており、
ナプキン１の裏面側で両側縁を重ね合わせてシールする
とともに、ナプキン１の両端でも端縁を重ね合わせてシ
ールしてある。裏面シート３は、ナプキン１の裏面側に
おいて表面シート２と吸収性コア４との間に介在してい
る。
【００１６】図２は、表面シート２の厚み方向断面を模
式的に示し、このシート２の下側には吸収性コア４が密
着している。表面シート２は、それぞれがメルトブロー
繊維からなる第１層７ａと第２層７ｂとを積層してなる
上面シート７と、上面シート７の下面側にありメルトブ
ロー繊維からなる下面シート８とで構成してある。上面
シート７は、上面開口１１と下面開口１２とを有し下方
向へ延出する多数の導液管１３と、上面開口１１周縁に
連続する面として形成された肌接触域１４とを有する。
下面シート８は、導液管の下面開口１２周縁に連続する
面として形成された面域１５と、面域１５から導液管１
３内に延出する延出部１６とを有する。下面シート８を
構成するメルトブロー繊維は、導液管の下面開口１２周
縁に融着し、かかる融着によって上面シート７と下面シ
ート８とは一体になっている。しかし、両シート７，８
は、それらの肌接触域１４と面域１５とが互いに離隔し
ており、空洞２０を形成している。
【００１７】図３は、表面シート１を製造するための模
式的工程図である。この工程は、成形ドラム３０と、そ
の外周に沿って配置した第１、第２メルトブロー押出機
３１，３２とからなる第１成形工程２８、および無端ベ
ルト３３と、その上に配置した第３メルトブロー押出機
３４とからなる第２成形工程２９で構成してある。成形
ドラム３０の外表面は賦型用の凸部３５と凹部３６とを
配置して成形型とし、この型に第１押出機３１からメル
トブロー繊維４０をサクション４１の作用下に吹きつけ
て第１シート７の第１層７ａとなる不織布４０ａを形成
する。同様に、不織布４０ａの上に第２押出機３２から
メルトブロー繊維４２を吹きつけ、第２層７ｂとなる不
織布４２ａを形成する。これら積層した不織布４１ａ，
４２ａはドラム３０により賦型し、凸部３５では、第１
シート７の肌接触域１４を形成し、凹部３６では導液管
１３を形成し、これを第１シート７を得るための原反に
する。なお、この工程２８では、繊維４０，４２の吹き
つけ量、サクション４１の強さ、凹部３６の径や深さな
どを調節することにより、凹部３６においては繊維４
０，４２が凹部３６側壁に沿って延在することにより導
液管１３を形成し、凹部３６の底部において第１シート
７の下面開口１２となるべき開口３７を形成できるよう
にする。第１シート７の原反は、第１成形工程２８から
第２成形工程２９へ移行する過程で成形ドラム３０から
剥離し、図示のように成形ドラム３０との接触面を上に
向けた状態で無端ベルト３３にのせる。第３押出機３４
からは、サクション４３の作用下にメルトブロー繊維４
４を、その上に向けた面に吹きつけて第２シート８とな
るべき不織布４４ａを形成する。ここでは、繊維４４ａ
の吹きつけ量とサクション４３の強さとを調節すること
により、メルトブロー繊維４４が開口３７において、ほ
ぐれて殆ど不織布を形成することなく、導液管１３の管
壁に沿って管内へ延出し、下面開口１２となるべき開口
３７を塞ぐことがないようにする。このようにして得ら
れる不織布４１ａ，４２ａ，４４ａからなるシート５０
は、適宜に裁断し、表面シート２として使用する。
【００１８】このような表面シート２では、上面シート
７を構成するメルトブロー繊維４０，４２が下面開口１
２の周縁でサクション４１の方向に向かって毛羽立って
いる。そこへ第３押出機３４からのメルトブロー繊維４
４を吹きつけると、この繊維４４が他方のメルトブロー
繊維４０，４２に融着したり、からみついたりして上面
シート７と下面シート８とが一体になる。図示例のよう
に上面シート７をメルトブロー不織布４０ａと４２ａの
二層構造にして、まず下側のメルトブロー不織布４０ａ
を相対的に高密度につくり、表面シート２の腰が強くな
るようにしておき、次いで上側のメルトブロー不織布４
２ａを相対的に低密度につくると、表面シート２を使用
した物品を着用したときに布様で柔軟な肌触りが得られ
る。なお、上面シート７は、不織布４０ａまたは４２ａ
のいずれか一方だけで構成することもできる。
【００１９】メルトブロー繊維４０，４２，４４には、
ポリエチレンその他適宜の熱可塑性樹脂を使用すること
ができる。上面シート７には、メルトブロー不織布に代
えて、プラスチックフィルムの賦型品を使用することが
できる。また、上面シート７には、疎水性の素材を使用
して、体液排泄後のドライタッチ感が得られるようにす
る一方、下面シート８には親水性をもたせ、体液を吸収
性コア４側へ誘引すると同時に、下面シート８面内で速
やかに拡散させることが好ましい。かかる下面シート８
を得るには、例えば親水化処理剤を練り込んだポリエチ
レンを使用すればよい。

【発明の効果】この発明に係る表面シートでは、導液管
の下面開口周縁に下面シートが融着しているから、導液
管は、その変形が拘束されて容易に閉塞することがな
い。
【００２１】表面シート上に排泄された体液は、導液管
の下面開口に到達すると、この開口に接触する部分の吸
収性コアに吸収される以外に、下面シートにおいて面方
向に拡散し、この下面シートに接触する部分の吸収性コ
アにも吸収されるから、従来技術の表面シートに比べて
吸収速度が向上する。
【００２２】上面シートと下面シートとの間には空洞が
形成されているから、下面シートは、体液の拡散により
湿り気を帯びても着用者の肌に湿潤感を与えることがな
い。
【００２３】また、導液管が変形しにくくなることによ
り、表面シートのクッション性が向上し、吸収性物品の
着用感がよくなる。

  1. 【請求項１】上面開口と下面開口とを有し下方向へ延出
    する多数の導液管と、該導液管の上面開口の周縁に連続
    する肌接触域とを有する体液吸収性物品の表面シートに
    おいて、 前記表面シートが、前記導液管と肌接触域とを備える第
    １シートと、該第１シート下面側に位置する第２シート
    からなり、前記第１シートは熱可塑性プラスチックフィ
    ルムおよび熱可塑性繊維を融着させた不織布のうちのい
    ずれかによって構成する一方、前記第２シートは熱可塑
    性繊維を融着させた不織布によって構成し、該第２シー
    トが前記導液管の下面開口の周縁に融着するとともに該
    下面開口においては個々の繊維にほぐれて前記導液管の
    管壁に沿って管内に延出し、前記下面開口とその周縁近
    傍とを除いては前記第１シートから離隔していることに
    より、前記表面シートの厚み方向断面において前記第１
    シートとともに空洞を形成していることを特徴とする前
    記表面シート。
  2. 【請求項２】前記第１シートが疎水性であり、前記第２
    シートが親水性である請求項１記載の表面シート。
