Description

【発明の詳細な説明】
【０００１】
【産業上の利用分野】この発明は、使い捨ておむつ、ト
レニングパンツ、生理用ナプキンなどの体液吸収性物品
に使用する透液性の複合不織布に関する。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】従来、使い捨ておむつなどの体液吸収性
物品において、不織布の上面に連続フィラメント状のも
のを接合してなる複合不織布を透液性表面シートとして
使用する技術は公知である。例えば特開昭５７−８２５
０５号公報には連続フィラメント状の線条によって構成
される疎水性ネット状シートに親水性シートを重ねたの
ちエンボス加工を施して複合不織布をつくり、ネット状
シートを上面にして使い捨ておむつの表面シートに使用
する技術が開示されている。この技術によれば、ネット
状シートは円形ダイスから押出成形した、いわゆるイン
フレーションフィルムを発泡させることによって得るこ
とができる。親水性シートにはパルプ、レイヨン、コッ
トンなどのセルロース系の親水性素材を主成分とするも
のを使用する。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】前記公知技術による複
合不織布は、体液吸収性物品の表面シートに必要な疎水
性、吸収性、強度を有する一方、連続フィラメント状の
線条の一つずつがフィルムをいわば切り裂いたものであ
るからその表面が平坦であって、肌に触れるとプラスチ
ックに固有のべたつく感じを与え、それが需要者に嫌わ
れるという問題がある。また、前記公知技術は、ネット
状シートと親水性シートとが互いに喰込むか、または一
方が他方に喰込むようにエンボス加工を施すと教示して
いる。そうして得られる不織布では、ネット状シートの
ざらざらした肌触りがなくなって平滑平面となる一方、
その肌触りはますますべたつく感じが強くなり、しかも
表面シートに望まれるクッション性、柔軟性が乏しくな
るという問題がある。
【０００４】そこでこの発明は、不織布上面に多数のフ
ィラメントを平行に並べて接合し、個々のフィラメント
は接合部どうしの間において弧を画くように隆起させる
ことにより前記問題を解決することを課題にしている。
【０００５】
【課題を解決するための手段】この発明が前記課題を解
決するために手段とするところは、以下のとおりであ
る。
【０００６】この発明においては、熱可塑性合成樹脂か
らなる透液性不織布の上面に熱可塑性合成樹脂からなる
多数の連続フィラメントを接合した体液吸収性物品用の
透液性複合不織布を前提にしている。
【０００７】かかる前提において、前記フィラメントを
互いに平行な状態で、かつ、個々のフィラメントをその
長手方向に間欠的に配した接合部において前記不織布上
面に固定するとともに、前記接合部どうしの間において
不織布上面から上方へ弧を画くように隆起させ、その隆
起させた部分の径方向断面をほぼ円に形成してあること
がこの発明の特徴である。
【０００８】かかる発明の好ましい実施態様において、
前記接合部ではフィラメントが不織布上面に溶融して接
合していることがある。また、前記フィラメントと不織
布とが疎水性である場合と、前記フィラメントが疎水性
であって、不織布が親水性である場合とがある
【０００９】
【作用】このように構成した体液吸収性物品用の透液性
複合不織布では、フィラメントの弧を画くように隆起し
た部分が肌に触れて弾性的に変形、復元することにより
クッション効果を奏し、複合不織布の肌触りに柔軟性を
与える。この複合不織布で主として肌に触れるのはフィ
ラメントの隆起した部分の頂部であり、そこでの断面形
状はほぼ円形であるから、前記物品を着用したときに複
合不織布の肌に対する接触面積が比較的少なく、プラス
チックフィルムなどのプラスチック製品に固有のべたつ
く肌触りを柔らげることができる。

【実施例】この発明に係る複合不織布の詳細を生理用ナ
プキンを例にとって説明すると、以下のとおりである。
【００１１】図１は、ナプキン１の部分破断斜視図であ
る。ナプキン１は、透液性表面シート２と、不透液性裏
面シート３と、それら両シート間に介在する吸液性コア
４とからなり、表裏面シート２，３はコア４の四周から
延出する部分で互いに接合している。表面シート２の上
面には長手方向に互いに平行に延びる多数の連続したフ
ィラメント５がある。なお、図１においてフィラメント
５が不連続な状態で示してあるのはナプキン１を立体的
に見せるためである。
【００１２】図２は、ナプキン１上面の部分拡大図であ
り、図３、４は、図２のＩＩＩ−ＩＩＩ線、ＩＶ−ＩＶ
線部分断面図である。
【００１３】図２、３において、表面シート２は下層の
不織布１０と上層のフィラメント５とからなり、フィラ
メント５はその長手方向に間欠的に位置する接合部位１
１で不織布１０の上面１２に溶着し、接合部位１１どう
しの間では、上面１２から上方に向かって凸となる円弧
１５を画いている。接合部位１１では、フィラメント５
が相対的に薄く平坦な状態にあり、一方の不織布１０は
圧縮されてその周囲よりも薄く、相対的に密度が高い状
態にある。フィラメント５は、円弧１５を画く部分でほ
ぼ円をなす断面形状を呈しており（図４参照）、不織布
１０の上面１２との間に間隙１３がある場合と、ない場
合とがある（円弧１５Ａと１５Ｂを参照）。なおフィラ
メント５の断面がほぼ円をなすとは、真円や楕円、それ
らに近似する滑らかな曲線からなる形状を意味してい
る。このような構成からなる表面シート２において、フ
ィラメント５は円弧１５の部分における径が０．０５〜
５ｍｍの範囲にあり、図２の状態で見たときに不織布１
０の上面１２の５〜９５％、より好ましくは２０〜８０
％を被覆することができる。フィラメント５は、ポリエ
チレン、ポリプロピレン、ポリエステル、ナイロン、エ
チレン酢ビ、エラストマーなどの合成樹脂に、必要なら
酸化チタン、シリカ、炭酸カルシウム、タルク等のフィ
ラーやシリコン、フッ素樹脂等の撥水剤を混合して押出
成形することにより得ることができる。不織布１０は、
熱可塑性合成樹脂からなる繊度０．５〜８ｄの合成繊維
２０〜１００重量％を含み、坪量５〜８０ｇ／ｍ2であ
ることが好ましい。不織布１０は、疎水性であっても親
水性であってもよく、必要なら疎水性繊維を親水化処理
して使用したり、疎水性繊維に対し親水性繊維を８０重
量％までの範囲で混合したりすることができる。
【００１４】フィラメント５と不織布１０とを接合する
には、図２における接合部位１１の長さＬ1を０．３〜
２ｍｍ、円弧１５の長さＬ2を０．５〜３ｍｍにするこ
とが好ましい。
【００１５】さらに図３、４において、裏面シート３に
はプラスチックフィルムを使用し、コア４には粉砕パル
プや粉砕パルプと高吸水性ポリマーの混合物からなる賦
型品をティッシュペーパー１６で被覆したものが使用し
てある。
【００１６】図示例の生理用ナプキン１は常法に従って
使用すればよく、排泄された経血は、不織布１０の主と
して隣接するフィラメント５間にのぞく部分から吸収さ
れる。加えて、経血はフィラメント５の円弧１５Ａの下
の間隙１３（図３参照）にも流れ込み、そこにおいて不
織布１０を透過してコア４に吸収される。一般に、コア
に吸収された経血は、表面シート上方からはっきりと透
視し得るのであるが、このナプキン１ではフィラメント
５が不織布１０を部分的に被覆することにより、吸収さ
れた経血の透視を難しくしている。したがって、このナ
プキン１には廃棄するときに経血による汚れが目立ちに
くいという利点がある。
【００１７】図５は、表面シート２の態様を例示する図
２と同様の図面である。この表面シート２では、各フィ
ラメント５の接合部位１１が左右方向に並んだ状態にあ
る。フィラメント５の配列密度が高く、それら相互の間
隙が狭い場合には、図５の態様にすると接合部１１と円
弧１５とが触れ合わず、円弧１５の機能を損なうことが
ない。なお、図２、５に例示の表面シート２は、連続的
に供給する不織布ウエブの上面に押出機から吐出した多
数のフィラメントを供給し、それらウエブとフィラメン
トとにエンボス加工、要すれば熱エンボス加工を施すこ
とによって製造することができる。

【発明の効果】このように構成した複合不織布は、それ
を例えば生理用ナプキンなどの体液吸収性物品の透液性
表面シートとして使用すると、弧を画くように隆起した
フィラメントが着用者の肌に触れて弾性変形するから、
その物品がクッション性の良いものになる。また、肌に
触れるのは主として隆起したフィラメントの頂部であっ
て、しかも該物品の径方向断面はほぼ円形であるから、
表面シートの肌に触れる面積が比較的少なく、着用者に
プラスチックに固有のべたつく感じを与えることがな
い。

    (57)【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】熱可塑性合成樹脂からなる透液性不織布の
    上面に熱可塑性合成樹脂からなる多数の連続フィラメン
    トを接合した体液吸収性物品用の透液性複合不織布であ
    って、 前記フィラメントを互いに平行な状態で、かつ、個々の
    フィラメントをその長手方向に間欠的に配した接合部に
    おいて前記不織布上面に固定するとともに、前記接合部
    どうしの間において前記上面から上方へ弧を画くように
    隆起させ、その隆起させた部分の径方向断面をほぼ円に
    形成してあることを特徴とする前記複合不織布。
  2. 【請求項２】前記接合部において前記フィラメントを前
    記不織布上面に溶融状態で接合してある請求項１記載の
    複合不織布。
  3. 【請求項３】前記フィラメントと不織布とが疎水性であ
    る請求項１記載の複合不織布。
  4. 【請求項４】前記フィラメントが疎水性であり、前記不
    織布が親水性である請求項１記載の不織布。
