Description

【発明の詳細な説明】
【０００１】
【産業上の利用分野】この発明は、経血を吸収保持する
ための生理用ナプキンなどの体液吸収性物品の改良に関
する。
【０００２】
【従来の技術と、この発明が解決しようとする課題】従
来、熱可塑性プラスチックフィルムから、平面方向へ間
隔をおき上下端が開口する導液管又は溝を形成した表面
シートで吸収体の上面を被覆することで、その表面構造
を構成してある生理用ナプキンなどの体液吸収性物品が
知られ、その表面構造は基本的に三つのタイプに分類す
ることができる。
【０００３】第１のタイプとしては、特公昭５７ー１７
０８１号公報などに開示された表面構造がある。この表
面構造を構成する表面シートにおいては、これを疎水性
プラスチックフィルムから構成し、導液管を下端へ向け
て先細に形成し、その下端開口を吸収体に密接させてあ
る。しかし、吸収体に吸収された体液が表面シートの上
面へ逆流しない臨界径に近く非常に細く導液管の下端開
口を形成すると、その体液が経血であってその塊りを含
む場合には、導液管の下端開口が閉塞して経血が吸収体
に吸収されなくなる。こうした問題がないように導液管
の下端開口の径を形成すると、吸収体に吸収された経血
が導液管の開口を通して鮮やかに観取されるため、着用
者によっては使用後のナプキンを処理するときに不快に
感じる。もとより、表面シートをポリエチレンなどの透
光性プラスチックフィルムから構成してある場合には、
吸収体に吸収された経血が各導液管の上面開口間のリブ
からも色薄く透視される。
【０００４】また、第１のタイプとして、特開平１ー２
４９５０２号公報に開示された表面構造がある。この表
面構造を構成する表面シートは、熱可塑性繊維層の下面
に熱可塑性プラスチックフィルム層をラミネートして構
成してある。この表面シートは、繊維層とプラスチック
フィルム層との二重構造であるから、吸収体に吸収され
た経血が表面シートを介して色薄く透視されることがな
く、その意味では、前記表面シートよりも経血の隠蔽効
果が優れているが、吸収体に吸収された経血が導液管の
開口を通して比較的色濃く観取される。
【０００５】第２のタイプとして、特開昭６１ー１５８
９５４号、特開平１ー１１９２５１号、同２ー１９１５
３号などの公報に開示された表面構造がある。この表面
構造を構成する表面シートは、疎水性プラスチックフィ
ルムから構成し、導液溝の底面を閉塞し側壁を開口して
ある。この表面構造によれば、吸収体に吸収された経血
が導液溝を通して観取されることはないが、閉塞した底
面が経血の吸収体への素早い移行の障壁になるばかりで
なく、経血の塊りが底面に付着滞留してこれがそのまま
の色で鮮やかに観取されることがある。
【０００６】第３のタイプとして、特開昭５７ー８９８
６１号公報に開示された表面構造がある。この表面構造
は、疎水性表面ネットの下面に疎水性繊維層を、その繊
維層の下面に、先細の導液管を形成した疎水性プラスチ
ックフイルム層をそれぞれ配置することで構成してあ
る。この表面構造によれば、吸収体に吸収された経血が
導液管を通して観察されることがないが、表面ネットの
線維やその下面の繊維層の繊維に経血の塊りが付着滞留
して繊維層の繊維間の目を閉塞し経血の導液管への素早
い流入の障壁になるばかりでなく、第２のタイプと同様
に経血が観取されることがある。
【０００７】この発明は、多数の導液管を形成した表面
シートを用いるにもかかわらず、経血の吸収体への素早
い移行を可能ならしめるとともに、吸収体に吸収された
経血が導液管の開口を通して鮮やかに観取され難い表面
構造にすることを課題とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】前記課題を解決するため
のこの発明は、平面の縦横及び斜め方向へ間隔をおき上
下端が開口し下方向へ延出する導液管を形成した表面シ
ートで吸収体の少なくとも上面を被覆してある体液吸収
性物品を対象とする。
【０００９】前記吸収体の上面と前記表面シートの下面
との間には、前記導液管の下端開口の径よりも小さく形
成した線維からなるネットを介在させて前記導液管の下
端に接触させるとともに、前記線維をして前記導液管の
下端開口を横切らせることでその開口面を複数に分割し
てある。
【００１０】好ましい実施例として、前記ネットは疎水
性プラスチックフィルムを前記線維に割裂することで構
成してあること、前記線維は複数に分割してあること、
前記導液管の下端と前記ネットの上面とは一体的に接合
してあること、前記ネットは活性剤で処理してそれに親
水性を付与してあること、前記導液管の側壁の一部を切
欠してあること、及び前記表面シートを疎水性プラスチ
ックフィルムから構成してあることを含む。

【作用】この発明に係る物品においては、表面シートの
上面に導液管の上端開口への経血の流入の妨害となるも
のが位置していないから、経血が導液管に素早く流入す
る。また、導液管の下端開口を線維が横切るから、吸収
体に吸収された経血がその開口を通して観取される色合
いが低下又は減殺されるとともに、吸収体に吸収された
経血が表面シートの上面へ逆流するのが抑制される。こ
うした機能は導液管の下端開口を横切る線維の本数が増
えるほど向上する。しかも、線維が導液管の下端開口に
位置するうえに、線維の径がその下端開口の径よりも小
さいから、表面シート上における経血の導液管への素早
い流入、ひいては吸収体への素早い移行吸収が妨げられ
る虞れがない。

【実施例】この発明に係る物品の実施例を、図示の生理
用ナプキンを例にして説明すると、以下のとおりであ
る。
【００１３】図１及び図２に示すように、ナプキンは、
吸収体１と、吸収体１の下面に位置させた不透液性裏面
シート２と、吸収体１の上面に位置させたネット３と、
ネット３の上面に位置させた透液性表面シート４とから
構成し、吸収体１の外周縁から延出する裏面シート２、
ネット３及び表面シート４の各部分を接着剤又は融着手
段で接合してある。図１に示すナプキンにおいては、ネ
ット３は表面シート４の内面の全領域に位置させてある
が、図２に示すナプキンにおいては、ネット３は吸収体
１の上面を被覆する領域にだけ位置させてある。
【００１４】図３（Ａ）及び（Ｂ）に示すように、表面
シート４は、その平面の縦横及び斜め方向へ間隔をおき
上下端が開口し下方向へ延出する導液管５を形成してあ
る。導液管５は、その上端開口の径Ｄ1 が０．２〜６．
５５ｍｍ、その下端開口の径Ｄ2 が０．１〜６ｍｍにな
るように形成する。導液管５の断面形状は、図３に示す
もののほか、図４に示すようなものも採用することがで
きる。表面シート４に配列する各導液管５の断面形状は
不均一であってもよい。こうした場合の前記径の寸法は
平均値を示す。導液管５の下端開口率は２０〜６０％が
好ましい。
【００１５】こうした表面シート４は、公知の方法、例
えば、導液管５の断面形状に対応する断面形状を形成し
た管を有する成形型の上面に熱可塑性プラスチックフィ
ルムを載せ、そのフィルムをこれが軟化する温度まで加
熱した状態下に、成形型の下面に負圧を加えることで成
形型の管部の上端開口で囲まれるそのフィルム部分を下
方向へ風船状に膨出させその底面を破裂させた後、硬化
させることで製造することができる。こうして形成した
導液管５の下端は、製造条件によっては、不揃いになる
が、その下端を削り又は焼き切るなどの公知の方法で処
理して揃うようにしてもよい。図４の（Ｅ）に示す導液
管５は、その側壁を作為的に切欠してその下端を不揃い
にしてある例を示す。
【００１６】表面シート４の材料としては、ポリエチレ
ン、ポリプロピレン、ＥＶＡ、ナイロン、スチレンなど
の単独若しくは混合の熱可塑性合成樹脂で、透光性を低
下させるため、二酸化チタン、炭酸カルシウムなどのフ
ィラーを１〜１０重量％で混合した坪量が１５〜４０ｇ
／ｍ2 のものを用いることができる。また、必要に応じ
て、表面シート４に活性剤を塗布したり、その材料に活
性剤を混合してもよい。
【００１７】図５に示すように、ネット３は多数の線維
６から構成してある。ネット３は、公知の方法、例え
ば、熱可塑性プラスチックフィルムに多数のスリットを
入れ又は多数のドット状のエンボスを付与した後、その
フィルムをそのまま又は加熱下に縦横方向へ延伸若しく
は拡巾して多数の線維６に割裂させ、又は熱可塑性合成
樹脂に発泡剤を混合してこれをフィルム状に押し出すと
同時にこれをその発泡剤で多数の線維６に割裂させる方
法で製造することができる。線維６の径は、導液管５の
下端開口の径Ｄ2よりも小さいことが不可欠であり、好
ましくは径Ｄ2の三分の一以下である。線維６は更に分
割又は分枝していてもよいが、比較的坪量又は目付が大
きく繊維が比較的に複雑に交差・交絡又は接着若しくは
融着している不織布などの繊維集積体とは異なり、液体
を線維６の間に保持しない線維配列であることが好まし
い。図示のネット３の線維６の配列は、不規則である
が、もとより規則的であってもよい。ネット３は、必要
に応じて、公知の活性剤で処理して経血などの体液の透
過性を向上させてもよい。
【００１８】ネット３の材料は、表面シート４と同効の
ものを用いることができるが、坪量が３〜２０ｇ／ｍ2
で見掛け厚さが０．０５〜０．１５ｍｍのものであるこ
とが好ましい。ちなみに、こうした極薄のネットは、繊
維ウエブから製造することが困難である。
【００１９】こうしたネット３は、表面シート４の導液
管５の下端に接触させ、必要に応じて、その下端の少な
くとも一部を接着剤又は融着手段で一体的に接合させて
用いる。こうした状態においては、図３（Ｂ）及び図５
に示すように、任意本数の線維６が導液管５の下端開口
を横切ってその開口面を複数に分割する。従って、導液
管５に流入した経血はその分割された開口を経て吸収体
へ移行する。
【００２０】吸収体１及び裏面シート２は公知の生理用
ナプキンのそれらの材料として知られているもの、例え
ば、吸収体１として、フラッフパルプに超吸収性ポリマ
ー粒子を混合し、必要に応じてティッシュペーパーなど
の透液性シートで少なくとも上下面を被覆したもの、裏
面シート２として、プラスチックフィルム、これと不織
布をラミネートしたもの、不織布を撥水又は防水加工し
たものなどを用いることができる。

【発明の効果】この発明に係る物品によれば、既出の
［作用の項］において述べたように、吸収体に吸収され
た経血がその開口を通して観取される色合いが低下又は
減殺されるから、着用者に不快感を与えることがないと
ともに、吸収体に吸収された経血が表面シートの上面へ
逆流するのが抑制されるから、その上面における湿潤感
も与えることがない。こうした効果を表面シートの導液
管の設計だけで実現することは困難であるが、この発明
によれば、それを容易に実現することができる。また、
導液管の上端開口は他の材料で覆われていないから、経
血の塊りが導液管の上端開口よりも小さい限り導液管へ
流入することができる。

    (57)【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】平面の縦横及び斜め方向へ間隔をおき上下
    端が開口し下方向へ延出する導液管を形成した表面シー
    トで吸収体の少なくとも上面を被覆してある体液吸収性
    物品において、 前記吸収体の上面と前記表面シートの下面との間に前記
    導液管の下端開口の径よりも小さく形成した線維からな
    るネットを介在させて前記導液管の下端に接触させると
    ともに、前記線維をして前記導液管の下端開口を横切ら
    せることでその開口面を複数に分割してあることを特徴
    とする前記物品。
  2. 【請求項２】前記ネットは疎水性プラスチックフィルム
    を前記線維に割裂することで構成してある請求項１に記
    載の物品。
  3. 【請求項３】前記線維は複数に分割してある請求項１に
    記載の物品。
  4. 【請求項４】前記導液管の下端と前記ネットの上面とは
    一体的に接合してある請求項１に記載の物品。
  5. 【請求項５】前記ネットは活性剤で処理してそれに親水
    性を付与してある請求項１に記載の物品。
  6. 【請求項６】前記導液管の側壁の一部は切欠してある請
    求項１に記載の物品。
  7. 【請求項７】前記表面シートは疎水性プラスチックフィ
    ルムから構成してある請求項１に記載の物品。
