【発明の詳細な説明】

【産業上の利用分野】本発明は、生分解性、ガソリン混
和性、耐焼き付き性に優れる2サイクルエンジン用潤滑
油組成物に関する。
【0002】
【従来の技術】安価な鉱油系潤滑油を基油とし、必要に
応じて清浄剤及び耐摩耗剤を配合したエンジン油が広く
用いられているが、バイク、船外機等における2サイク
ルエンジンにおいては、潤滑油の機能としてガソリンと
の混和性、焼き付き防止性の他に環境問題に対する意識
が高まる中、生分解性に対する要求がある。即ち、2サ
イクルエンジンから排出される未燃焼の潤滑油による湖
沼の汚染を防止するため、少ない使用量でも必要性能を
確保できる高いエンジン油性能を有すると共に、排出さ
れていも水中の生物に容易に分解される生分解性を有す
る潤滑油が求められている。
【0003】そのため、最近、生分解性の良好なポリオ
ールエステルを主成分とし、ガソリン混和性を確保する
ため、希釈油として灯油や水添鉱油を配合したタイプの
生分解性潤滑油が市販されはじめているが、希釈油とし
て使用される炭化水素系基油は生分解性が低いため、こ
れを配合した製品は生分解特性が低下し、生分解性に関
してはまだ不充分なものである。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】本発明は、エンジン油
としてガソリン混和性、耐焼き付き性に優れると共に生
分解性に優れる2サイクルエンジン用潤滑油組成物の提
供を課題とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】本発明の2サイクルエン
ジン用潤滑油組成物は、(1)100℃での動粘度が9
〜15cStのポリオールエステル30重量%〜70重
量%、(2)100℃での動粘度が2〜5cStのジエ
ステル30重量%〜70重量%、(3)分子量500〜
2500のポリブテン1重量%〜5重量%及び/又は分
子量5,000〜40,000のポリメタクリレート1
重量%〜5重量%、(4)分散剤5重量%〜25重量%
からなる。
【0006】まず、本発明におけるポリオールエステル
は、まず、脂肪族多価アルコールと直鎖状又は分岐状の
脂肪酸とのポリエステル類がある。
【0007】このポリエステル類を形成する脂肪族多価
アルコールとしては、ネオペンチルグリコール、トリメ
チロールプロパン、ジトリメチロールプロパン、トリメ
チロールエタン、ジトリメチロールエタン、ペンタエリ
スリトール、ジペンタエリスリトール、トリペンタエリ
スリトール等があり、また脂肪酸としては炭素数16〜
24のものを使用することができ、好ましい脂肪酸はヘ
プタデシル酸、ステアリン酸、ノナデカン酸、アラキン
酸、ベヘン酸、リグノセリン酸等である。また、上記脂
肪族多価アルコールと直鎖状又は分岐状の脂肪酸との部
分エステル類も使用できる。これらの部分エステルは、
脂肪族多価アルコールと脂肪酸の反応モル数を適宜調節
して反応させることにより得られる。
【0008】これらのポリオールエステルは、100℃
での動粘度が9〜15cSt、好ましくは11〜14c
Stのものであり、生分解性に優れ、潤滑油基油として
使用される。粘度が9cSt未満のものは耐焼き付き性
の面で劣るものであり、また15cStを越えると生分
解性が低下する問題がある。
【0009】ポリオールエステルは30重量%〜70重
量%、好ましくは40重量%〜60重量%存在させると
よく、30重量%未満であると耐焼き付き性が低下する
傾向があり、70重量%を越えるとガソリン混和性が低
下する。
【0010】次に、ジエステルは、カルボン酸成分とし
ては炭素数6〜10の直鎖状又は分岐状の脂肪族二塩基
酸、具体的には、アジピン酸、ピメリン酸、スベリン
酸、アゼライン酸、セバシン酸及びこれらと同等の性状
を有するものが挙げられる。アルコール成分としては炭
素数6〜10の脂肪族アルコールであり、具体的にはヘ
キシルアルコール、ヘプチルアルコール、オクチルアル
コール、ノニルアルコール、及びデシルアルコール、並
びにこれらの異性体が挙げられる。

5cSt、好ましくは2〜4cStのものであり、ガソ
リンとの混和性向上を目的として添加され、5cStを
越えると希釈性が悪くなる。
【0012】ジエステルは30重量%〜70重量%、好
ましくは40重量%〜50重量%存在させるとよく、3
0重量%未満であると、ガソリンとの混和性が悪くな
り、70重量%を越えると耐焼き付き性が悪化するとい
った問題がある。
【0013】ポリブテンは、分子量500〜2500、
好ましくは500〜1500、より好ましくは700〜
1000のものであり、焼き付き防止を目的として重質
基油成分として添加され、分子量が2500を越えると
耐焼き付き性の改善効果が小さくなる。
【0014】ポリブテンは、1重量%〜5重量%、好ま
しくは1.5重量%〜3.5重量%添加され、5重量%
を越えると粘度調整の観点から、低粘度ジエステルの配
合量が増大し、結果的に耐焼き付き性が低下するといっ
た問題がある。
【0015】また、本発明においてはポリブテンに代え
てポリメタクリレートを使用してもよい。ポリメタクリ
レートは、分子量5,000〜40,000、好ましく
は10,000〜20,000のものであり、焼き付き
防止を目的として重質基油成分として添加され、分子量
が40,000を越えると耐焼き付き性の改善効果が小
さくなる。
【0016】ポリメタクリレートは、分散型、非分散型
のものがあり、下記の構造を有するものが挙げられる。

【0018】上記式中、Rは炭素数1〜18の炭化水素
基、R′は水素またはメチル基、Xは極性基、nは10
〜1000の整数を示す。
【0019】ポリメタクリレートは1重量%〜5重量
%、好ましくは2重量%〜5重量%添加され、5重量%
を越えると清浄性が悪化するといった問題がある。ま
た、ポリメタクリレートと共にポリブテンを併用して添
加してもよい。
【0020】分散剤としては、無灰タイプのものが好ま
しく、ポリアミド類、コハク酸イミド類(硼素変成タイ
プを含む)、ベンジルアミン類(硼素変成タイプを含
む)が挙げられ、例えばポリアミド類としては商品名ル
ブリゾール(株)製のルブリゾール390、ルブリゾー
ル397、ルブリゾール398、オロナイトジャパン
(株)製のオロナイト340R、オロナイトRBが挙げ
られる。これらはピストン/シリンダー部位にデポジッ
トやワニスが生成しないことを目的として添加され、5
重量%〜25重量%、好ましくは10重量%〜20重量
%添加される。
【0021】その他、本発明の組成物には、必要に応じ
て防錆剤、消泡剤、金属清浄剤、耐摩耗剤、酸化防止
剤、流動点降下剤等が添加される。また、本発明の2サ
イクルエンジン用潤滑油組成物は、ガソリンとの混合比
が100:1まで低オイル混合仕様でも使用することが
できる。

【作用及び発明の効果】本発明の組成物は、ポリオール
エステルにガソリンとの混和性を目的としてジエステル
を添加すると共に、焼き付き防止性を目的としてポリブ
テン及び/またはポリメタクリレート、清浄性を目的と
して無灰分散剤を添加して構成され、また、ポリオール
エステル、ジエステル共に生分解性に優れるので、生分
解性、耐焼き付き性、ガソリン混和性等の要求性能が必
要な船外機用またはチェーン・ソー用等の2サイクルエ
ンジン用潤滑油組成物として適したものとすることがで
きる。以下、実施例により本発明を説明する。

【実施例】下記組成の本発明の試料油1を調製した。
【0024】 (1)トリメチロールプロパン1モルとC18モノカルボン酸3モルとのエステル 化物(粘度13cSt、100℃) ・・・ 43.5重量% (2)アジピン酸とC8 モノアルコールとのエステル化物(粘度2.5cSt、 100℃) ・・・ 39.5重量% (3)ポリブテン〔分子量1500、750cSt(100℃)〕 ・・・ 2.0重量% (4)ポリアミド系無灰分散剤(商品名ルブリゾール397、ルブリゾール(株 )製) ・・・ 15.0重量%。
【0025】下記組成の本発明の試料油2を調製した。
【0026】 (1)トリメチロールプロパン1モルとC18モノカルボン酸3モルとのエステル 化物(粘度13cSt、100℃) ・・・ 43.5重量% (2)アジピン酸とC8 モノアルコールとのエステル化物(粘度2.5cSt、 100℃) ・・・ 39.5重量% (3)ポリブテン〔分子量800、120cSt(100℃)〕 ・・・ 2.0重量% (4)ポリアミド系無灰分散剤(商品名ルブリゾール397、ルブリゾール(株 )製) ・・・ 15.0重量%。
【0027】下記組成の本発明の試料油3を調製した。
【0028】 (1)トリメチロールプロパン1モルとC18モノカルボン酸3モルとのエステル 化物(粘度13cSt、100℃) ・・・ 34.0重量% (2)アジピン酸とC8 モノアルコールとのエステル化物(粘度2.5cSt、 100℃) ・・・ 49.0重量% (3)ポリメチルメタクリレート〔分子量20,000〕 ・・・ 2.0重量% (4)ポリアミド系無灰分散剤(商品名ルブリゾール397、ルブリゾール(株 )製) ・・・ 15.0重量%。
【0029】下記組成の本発明の試料油4を調製した。
【0030】 (1)トリメチロールプロパン1モルとC18モノカルボン酸3モルとのエステル 化物(粘度13cSt、100℃) ・・・ 34.0重量% (2)アジピン酸とC8 モノアルコールとのエステル化物(粘度2.5cSt、 100℃) ・・・ 49.0重量% (3)ポリメチルメタクリレート〔分子量10,000〕 ・・・ 2.0重量% (4)ポリアミド系無灰分散剤(商品名ルブリゾール397、ルブリゾール(株 )製) ・・・ 15.0重量%。
【0031】以上で調製した各潤滑油組成物について、
(1)生分解性、(2)耐焼き付き性、(3)清浄性、
(4)ガソリン混和性、低温流動性について試験をおこ
なった。試験で使用した比較油の組成について記載す
る。
【0032】 〔比較油1〕 (1)鉱油1(粘度13cSt、100℃) ・・・ 58.0重量% (2)鉱油2(粘度31cSt、100℃) ・・・ 8.0重量% (3)灯油 (沸点範囲155℃〜270℃) ・・・ 19.0重量% (4)ポリアミド系分散剤 ・・・ 15.0重量% 〔比較油2〕 (1)ポリブテン1(粘度90cSt、100℃) ・・・ 5.0重量% (2)ポリブテン2(粘度240cSt、100℃)・・・ 15.0重量% (3)灯油(沸点範囲155℃〜270℃) ・・・ 20.0重量% (4)鉱油(粘度13cSt、100℃) ・・・ 55.0重量% (5)Caスルホネート ・・・ 1.0重量% (6)コハク酸イミド ・・・ 4.0重量% 〔比較油3〕 (1)トリメチロールプロパン1モルとC18モノカルボン酸3モルとのエステ ル化物(粘度15cSt、100℃) ・・・ 72.0重量% (2)灯油(沸点範囲155℃〜270℃) ・・・ 18.0重量% (3)ポリアミド系無灰分散剤(商品名ルブリゾール397、ルブリゾール( 株)製) ・・・ 10.0重量% 。
【0033】(A)生分解性について 本発明の試料油、比較油30mgに、修正MITI法に
基づき、それぞれ基礎培養液300cc、及び菌培養物
(都市下水処理プラントからの汚水を人工下水にて順化
したもの)を添加し、25℃、28日間攪拌し、微生物
が油を分解するために消費する酸素量と理論酸素量の比
から生分解性を評価した。本発明の試料油についての結
果を表1に、比較油についての結果を表2に示す。
【0034】(B)耐焼き付き性 下記の条件で、点火プラグ温度の上昇により、試験開始
温度245℃より5℃ずつ上げ、エンジンが焼き付き状
態に至った時のプラグ温度で、耐焼き付き性能を評価し
た。結果を同様に表1、表2に示す。 供試エンジン:富士重工ロビンエンジン(EC−10
D) 燃料/オイル:100:1 試験サイクル:全負荷(5分)、無負荷(1分)を1サ
イクルで計4サイクル

【0037】表1、2から、本発明の試料油は、比較油
に比して、生分解性が高く、また焼き付き時のプラグ座
温の高い潤滑油組成物であることがわかる。
【0038】(C)清浄性 富士重工ロビンエンジン(EC−10D)にて、全負荷
5000rpmで4時間運転した後、リング及びピスト
ンの状態を評価した。(プラグ座温215〜218℃、
燃料/オイル=100/1)

    5,000〜40,000のポリメタクリレート1重量
    %〜5重量%、(4)分散剤5重量%〜25重量%から
    なる2サイクルエンジン用潤滑油組成物。
