(57)【要約】 【目的】 容器の口径より大きい蓋をシールする場合
や、開封用つまみ部付き蓋をシールする場合であって
も、十分なシール強度が得られ、かつ蓋の外周縁部や開
封用つまみ部に焦げが発生することがない容器に対する
蓋のヒートシール装置を提供する。 【構成】 ヒートシール装置の押圧部材1には、蓋7が
ヒートシールされる容器口縁部9に対応するように形成
されたリング状の誘導加熱用コイル2が、内蔵されてい
る。押圧部材1下端部のコイル2に対応する位置には、
容器8口縁部に対応するように形成された銅製リング3
が配置され、銅製リング3を内外両側からはさむよう
に、フェライト製磁束集中体4,5が配置されている。

【発明の詳細な説明】
【0001】
【産業上の利用分野】この発明は、金属箔層を含んだ蓋
をガラス容器等にヒートシールするための容器に対する
蓋のヒートシール装置に関する。
【0002】
【従来の技術】リング状の誘導加熱用コイルが内蔵され
た押圧部材を有する、容器に対する蓋のヒートシール装
置は従来より知られている。
【0003】
【発明が解決しようとする課題】上記従来の容器に対す
る蓋のヒートシール装置では、容器の口径より大きい蓋
をシールする場合や、開封用つまみ部付き蓋をシールす
る場合には、蓋の外周縁部や開封用つまみ部にも熱が吸
収されるため、シール部が十分加熱されずにシール強度
不足になったり、また、十分なシール強度を得るべく強
く加熱すると熱量過多となり、蓋の外周縁部や開封用つ
まみ部に焦げが発生するという問題があった。
【0004】この発明の目的は、容器の口径より大きい
蓋をシールする場合や、開封用つまみ部付き蓋をシール
する場合であっても、十分なシール強度が得られ、かつ
蓋の外周縁部や開封用つまみ部に焦げが発生することが
ない容器に対する蓋のヒートシール装置を提供すること
にある。

【課題を解決するための手段】この発明による容器に対
する蓋のヒートシール装置は、容器口縁部に対応するよ
うに形成されたリング状誘導加熱用コイルが内蔵された
押圧部材を有する、容器に対する蓋のヒートシール装置
において、押圧部材下端部のコイル下方に、容器口縁部
に対応するように形成された金属製リングが配置され、
金属製リングを内外両側からはさむように、金属製リン
グの透磁率よりも大きい透磁率を有する材料よりなる磁
束集中体が配置されていることを特徴とするものであ
る。
【0006】ここで、金属製リングとしては、銅、アル
ミニウムなどの金属が使用され、金属製リングよりも大
きい透磁率を有する材料としては、フェライト、ニッケ
ル、コバルトなどの磁性体が使用される。

【作用】この発明による容器に対する蓋のヒートシール
装置は、押圧部材に、容器口縁部に対応するように形成
されたリング状誘導加熱用コイルが内蔵されており、押
圧部材下端部のコイル下方に、容器口縁部に対応するよ
うに形成された金属製リングが配置され、金属製リング
を内外両側からはさむように、金属製リングの透磁率よ
りも大きい透磁率を有する材料よりなる磁束集中体が配
置されているので、金属箔層を含んだ蓋をガラス容器等
にヒートシールするためコイルに高周波電流を流すと、
生じた磁束は金属製リングを透過し、蓋の容器口縁部対
応部分が加熱される。このさい、金属製リングを透過す
る以外の磁束は、磁束集中体により吸収されるので、蓋
の容器口縁部対応部分のヒートシールされるべき部分だ
けが加熱される。

【実施例】この発明の実施例を、以下図面を参照して説
明する。
【0009】図1に示す容器に対する蓋のヒートシール
装置は、金属箔層を含んだ蓋(7) をガラス容器口縁部
(9) にヒートシールするものであって、蓋(7) がヒート
シールされる容器口縁部(9) に対応するように形成され
たリング状の誘導加熱用コイル(2) が、押圧部材(1) に
内蔵されている。

る位置に、容器(8) 口縁部に対応するように形成された
銅製リング(3) が配置され、銅製リング(3) を内外両側
からはさむように、フェライト製磁束集中体(4)(5)が配
置されている。内側の磁束集中体(4) は円板状、外側の
磁束集中体(5) はリング状になされている。

および磁束集中体(4)(5)を覆うように、ポリイミドフィ
ルムよりなる弾性体層(6) が設けられている。
【0012】この発明による上記ヒートシール装置によ
りガラス容器(8) の口縁部(9) に金属箔層を含んだ蓋
(7) をヒートシールするには、次のようにして行う。
【0013】蓋(7) は、アルミニウム箔層とこれの下面
に設けられたヒートシール材層とによって構成されてい
る。
【0014】まず押圧部材(1) の下方所定位置にガラス
容器(8) を配置し、この容器(8) の口に蓋(7) を被せ
る。ついで押圧部材(1) を降下させ、容器(8) の口に被
せられた蓋(7) に対して押圧部材(1) を例えば1.5秒
間押し付けるとともに、誘導加熱用コイル(2) に高周波
電流を流して、蓋(7) の容器口縁部(9) 対応部分を例え
ば240℃に加熱し、容器口縁部(9) に蓋(7) をヒート
シールする。
【0015】ここで、コイル(2) に高周波電流を流すこ
とにより生じた磁束のうち、銅製リング(3) を透過する
以外の磁束は、磁束集中体(4)(5)により吸収され、蓋
(7) は、容器口縁部(9) 対応部分のヒートシールされる
べき部分だけが加熱される。また、ポリイミドフィルム
よりなる弾性体層(6) はその弾性により変形可能である
ため、蓋(7) のヒートシール材層が押圧部材(1) により
押圧されて、蓋(7) が容器口縁部(9) に確実にシールさ
れる。
【0016】比較のため、本発明の実施例のものと、従
来の磁束集中体が使用されていないものとについて、シ
ール強度を比較した結果を表1に示す。この評価に使用
された装置の銅製リング(3) の高さは3mmで、磁束集
中体(4)(5)としてはフェライトが使用されその高さはい
ずれも10mmである。また使用された蓋(7) は、図2
に示すように、上面が耐熱製樹脂(11)でコーティングさ
れた50μmのアルミニウム箔層(12)と、これの下面に
接着剤層(13)を介して設けられた50μmのヒートシー
ル材層(14)とによって構成されており、直径が56mm
でかつ5mmの開封用つまみ部(7a)が設けられている。
ガラス容器(8) の外径は52mmである。シール強度
は、図3に鎖線で示す箇所、すなわち、つまみ部(7a)
と、つまみ部から90度、180度および270度離れ
た非つまみ部とにおいて測定した。

【表1】 表1からわかるように、本発明の実施例のものは従来の
ものに比べて、シール強度が大きくなっているが、この
差は開封用つまみ部において特に大きい。また、実施例
のものは、測定箇所の違いによるばらつきが非常に小さ
くなっている。なお、焦げは、実施例のものにも従来の
ものにも発生していない。
【0018】上記において、磁束集中体(4)(5)としてフ
ェライトが使用されているが、フェライト以外でも、磁
気抵抗の低い、したがって透磁率の高いものであればよ
く、ニッケル、コバルト等の金属の磁性体も使用でき
る。銅製リング(3) および磁束集中体(4)(5)の大きさに
ついては、蓋(7) および容器(8) の形状や材質などを考
慮して決定される。
【0019】また、弾性体層(6) は、ポリイミドフィル
ム以外の耐熱合成樹脂フィルムやシリコーンラバー等の
耐熱合成ゴムであってもよい。弾性体層(6) の厚みは、
0.01mm以上で1.0mm以下が好ましい。
【0020】蓋(7) を構成する金属箔層は、アルミニウ
ム箔層(12)以外の金属箔層であってもよい。アルミニウ
ム箔の場合は、その厚さは6〜100μm、好ましくは
20〜50μmである。
【0021】また上記実施例においては、ガラス容器
(8) のヒートシールについて説明したが、この発明の装
置は、その他例えば合成樹脂製容器等の容器にも適用可
能である。

【発明の効果】この発明の容器に対する蓋のヒートシー
ル装置によると、蓋の容器口縁部対応部分のヒートシー
ルされるべき部分だけが加熱されるので、容器の口径よ
り大きい蓋をシールする場合や、開封用つまみ部付き蓋
をシールする場合であっても、十分なシール強度が得ら
れ、かつ蓋の外周縁部や開封用つまみ部に焦げが発生す
ることがない。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項1】 容器口縁部に対応するように形成された
    リング状誘導加熱用コイルが内蔵された押圧部材を有す
    る、容器に対する蓋のヒートシール装置において、押圧
    部材下端部のコイルに対応する位置に、容器口縁部に対
    応するように形成された金属製リングが配置され、金属
    製リングを内外両側からはさむように、金属製リングの
    透磁率よりも大きい透磁率を有する材料よりなる磁束集
    中体が配置されていることを特徴とする、容器に対する
    蓋のヒートシール装置。
