【発明の詳細な説明】
【0001】
【産業上の利用分野】本発明は合成樹脂管または内面樹
脂被覆金属管等の接続に使用する管の接続部構造に関す
るものである。
【0002】
【従来の技術】管内通水から金属管内面を防食するため
に金属管内面に合成樹脂層を被覆した金属管(内面樹脂
被覆金属管)を接続する場合、管端面を管内通水から止
水し、管端面における金属管と合成樹脂層との境界部位
から当該金属管と樹脂層との層間への管内通水の侵入を
防止することが重要である。
【0003】そこで、従来においては、図7の(イ)に
示すように雌ねじ溝a’を有するねじ込み式可鍛鋳鉄製
継手本体A’の内部に、筒状コア部21’を有する合成
樹脂体2’を成形・固設した継手の管端部収容間隙2
3’にシ−ラント等のパテ状シ−ル剤b’を充填し、雄
ねじ溝を金属管外面に加工した管端部10’を継手の雌
ねじ溝a’にねじ込み、上記のパテ状シ−ル剤b’を加
圧して筒状コア部外面211’と管端部内面101’と
の間に圧入し、管端面e’を管内通水から止水してい
る。
【0004】また、塩化ビニル樹脂管等の合成樹脂管を
接続する場合、TS工法等、接着剤を使用することが多
いが、この場合も、管端面が管内通水に曝されれば、管
端面においては、スキン層で覆われている管内面とは異
なり可塑剤の溶出が懸念されるから、図7の(ロ)に示
すように、筒状コア部21”を有する合成樹脂製管継手
2”を用い、管端部外面102’のみならず管端部内面
101’をも継手2”に接着することが安全である。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】しかしながら、上記の
パテ状シ−ル剤を使用する接続部構造においては、パテ
状シ−ル剤の管内面へのはみ出しが避けられず、このは
み出したパテ状シ−ル剤が管内水流のために管内面から
脱離し、この脱離したシ−ル剤片が弁等の複雑な通水路
にひっかかって通水詰りの原因となる畏れがある。
【0006】上記の接着剤を使用する接続部構造におい
ても、管内面にはみ出した接着剤が膨潤し、この膨潤フ
ロックが管内水流のために管内面から脱離して上記と同
様に通水詰りを惹起する危険性がある。
【0007】本発明の目的は、合成樹脂管,内面樹脂被
覆金属管等を、その管端面を管内通水から止水して接続
する場合、パテ状シ−ル剤または接着剤を使用する場合
のはみ出しシ−ル剤等の管内面からの脱離による通水詰
りを防止することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】第1発明の管の接続部構
造は筒状コア部を有する合成樹脂製管継手のその筒状コ
ア部外面と合成樹脂管の端部内面との間を熱融着したこ
とを特徴とする構成であり、第2発明の管の接続部構造
は筒状コア部を有する合成樹脂製継手部材のその筒状コ
ア部外面と、内面に合成樹脂被覆層を有する金属管の管
端部内面の合成樹脂層との間を熱融着し、両管端部の外
面間に金属製カバ−を装着したことを特徴とする構成で
ある。

【作用】管端部の内面と管継手または管継手部材の外面
との熱融着のために、管端面を管内通水から止水でき
る。

する場合とは異なり、管内面へのシ−ル剤または接着剤
のはみ出しがなく、従って、はみ出したパテ状シ−ル剤
等の管内水流による脱離片が弁内面等に付着することが
原因の通水詰りを確実に排除できる。

【実施例】以下、本発明の実施例を図面により説明す
る。図は第1発明の実施例を示す断面図である。
【0012】図1において、1は合成樹脂管、例えば塩
化ビニル樹脂管である。2は合成樹脂、例えば塩化ビニ
ル樹脂製の管継手であり、筒状コア部21を有し、この
コア部21と継手2の外部スリ−ブ部22との間に管端
部挿入用間隙23を備えている。
【0013】10は合成樹脂管1の管端部を示し、継手
2の管端部挿入用間隙23に挿入し、管端部内面101
と筒状コア部外面211との間を熱融着してある。ま
た、継手2の管端部挿入用間隙23と管端部10との前
記熱融着部位以外の部分は接着剤により接着してある。
【0014】上記管端部内面101と継手2の筒状コア
部外面211との熱融着には、例えば、合成樹脂製継手
2の筒状コア部21に金属リング3を埋設し、管接続部
外周より高周波磁界を作用させ、金属リング3に誘導電
流を流し、この誘導電流によるジュ−ル熱で金属リング
3を発熱させる方法を使用することができる。この金属
リング3の発熱により、金属リング3近傍の合成樹脂が
熱溶融されて合成樹脂管1の管端部内面101と合成樹
脂製継手2の筒状コア部外面211との接触界面が熱融
着される。
【0015】上記の金属リング3には、交鎖する高周波
磁束によって電流が誘導され、この誘導電流によって充
分に大なるジュ−ル熱を発生するものであれは適宜のも
のを使用でき、形状的には、筒状板、筒状メッシュ、ま
たは図2の(イ)に示すように、蛇行状導線を筒状に形
成したもの、図2の(ロ)に示すように、スパイラル導
線の両端を連結したもの等を使用できる。
【0016】上記の熱融着には、上記と同様に合成樹脂
製継手の筒状コア部に金属リングを埋着し、管接続部の
外周より超音波等のエネルギ−波を照射して金属リング
を発熱させる方法を使用することもできる。
【0017】上記の実施例においては、合成樹脂製継手
の筒状コア部にのみ金属リングを埋設し、その筒状コア
部外面のみを管端部に熱融着しているが、図3の(イ)
並びに(ロ)に示すように、金属リング3の断面形状
を、継手2の外部スリ−ブ部22と筒状コア部21との
間のブリッジ部24並びに外部スリ−ブ部22における
管端部との近接部分にも誘導電流を通電し得る形状に
し、継手のブリッジ部と管端部との間並びに外部スリ−
ブ部と管端部外面との間をも熱融着によって接着するこ
とが望ましい。
【0018】図4は第2発明の実施例を示す断面図であ
る。図4において、1は内面樹脂被覆金属管であり(1
1は金属管を、12は樹脂層をそれぞれ示している)、
例えば、塩化ビニル樹脂管を接着剤により鋼管内面に貼
着したもの、鋼管内面に粉体塗装法によってポリエチレ
ン層、ナイロン層を被覆したもの等を使用できる。2は
合成樹脂製の継手部材であり、筒状コア部21を有し、
内面樹脂被覆金属管1の内面樹脂層12に熱融着可能な
合成樹脂、好ましくはその内面樹脂層と同材質の合成樹
脂で成形してある。
【0019】10は内面樹脂被覆金属管1の管端部を示
し、継手部材2の筒状コア部21上に挿通し、この筒状
コア部外面211と内面樹脂被覆金属管端部内面の樹脂
層部分101とを熱融着してある。4は両管端部10,
10の外面上に跨って装着した金属製カバ−であり、一
方の管に引き通しておいた金属筒を引き戻し、この金属
筒4の各端部と各管端部10との間に粘着テ−プ5を巻
き付けてある。
【0020】図4において、継手部材2の筒状コア部外
面211と管端部内面の樹脂層部分101との熱融着に
は、継手部材2の両筒状コア部21,21間のほぼ全幅
にわたって金属リング3を埋設し、この金属リング3に
高周波磁束または超音波を交鎖または照射して金属リン
グ3を発熱させる方法を使用することができる。この場
合、継手部材2の筒状コア部21がこの筒状コア部21
を覆う内面樹脂被覆金属管端部10の金属管部分によっ
て高周波磁束または超音波から遮蔽されるので、継手部
材中間部位の金属リング部分の幅Lを筒状コア部位の金
属リング部分の合計幅2L’よりも大とすること(図4
において、L>2L’)が望ましい。
【0021】上記第2発明の実施例においても、金属リ
ング3の断面形状を図5に示すように、継手部材2の中
央突出部20における管端部との近接部分にも電流を流
し得る形状にし、その突出部側面と管端面との間をも熱
融着することが望ましい。
【0022】上記において、金属製カバ−4は管接続部
に内面樹脂被覆金属管の耐外圧強度と同程度の耐外圧強
度を付与するために使用している。この金属製カバ−に
は、図6の(イ)に示すように、蝶番41で結合した二
つ割れカバ−を使用することもできる〔図6の(イ)に
おいて、42はワンタッチ式の止め具を示している)。
また、耐引き抜き強度が要求される場合は、図6の
(ロ)に示すように金属製カバ−4の各端部と各管端部
10との間に抜け止めリング43を嵌め込むことが望ま
しい。

【発明の効果】本発明の管の接続部構造は上述した通り
の構成であり、筒状コア部を有する継手のその筒状コア
部外面と管端部内面との間を熱融着してあるから、管端
面を管内通水から止水でき、管が内面樹脂被覆金属管の
場合は、管端面からの金属管と樹脂内層との層間への管
内通水の侵入を防止して金属管の内面防食を良好に行な
うことができ、管が塩化ビニル樹脂管のような合成樹脂
管の場合は、管切断端面からの可塑剤の溶出を防止し
て、合成樹脂管の強度を良好に保持できる。
【0024】また、パテ状シ−ル剤または接着剤使用の
場合とは異なり、管内面にはみ出したパテ状シ−ル剤ま
たは接着剤が管内水流により管内面から脱離し、そのシ
−ル剤片等が弁等の複雑な通水路にひっかかって通水詰
りが生じるといったことがあり得ず、通水管路の保安に
も有利である。

  1. 【請求項1】筒状コア部を有する合成樹脂製管継手のそ
    の筒状コア部外面と合成樹脂管の端部内面との間を熱融
    着したことを特徴とする管の接続部構造。
  2. 【請求項2】筒状コア部を有する合成樹脂製継手部材の
    その筒状コア部外面と、内面に合成樹脂被覆層を有する
    金属管の管端部内面の合成樹脂層との間を熱融着し、両
    管端部の外面間に金属製カバ−を装着したことを特徴と
    する管の接続部構造。
