体2aの壁面と溶着部材3,4とが当接する接合部に
は、環状に凸部2e,4cを、器体2aまたは溶着部材
のフランジ3c,4aに予め形成する。

クに関し、特に、樹脂製溶着部材の接合強度を確保をす
るようにした樹脂製燃料タンクに関する。

下する等の不都合が有る。

ンドされたナイロン等によって器体壁に平行に層状に形
成され、貯溜燃料が器体壁を透過するのを防止する。

は、図1の実施例(A)(B)においては、所定位置に
穴開けされてから、器体と溶着部材の両接合部を熱板に
よって所定の温度、時間で溶融加熱の後、所定の圧力、
時間で圧接され、溶着部材が溶着接合される。

の器体2aを外方に屈曲し、その屈曲部2cの外周に隙
間を採って溶着部材3gを溶着し、上記隙間に溶着ばり
2kを収容する方法がある。
A部材の端面をB部材の側面に溶着した時の接合の組合
せにおいて、バリヤ層を含まない樹脂製燃料タンクとし
ての接合強度を基準として比較し、下記の結果を得た。

側面で溶着した第2の構成と、バリヤ層を含む部材のバ
リヤ層と直交する端面で溶着した第3の構成とを比較す
ると、熱板溶融条件は200度C、60秒(表中*で示
す。)のとき、バリヤ層を含む構成においては、第2の
構成について所定の強度が得られることが分かる。

層の影響を受けることが推定される。また、第2の構成
においても、熱板溶融条件を高温、長時間にした場合に
は接合強度の低下が見られ、これは溶融の進行によっ
て、バリヤ層が接合面に露出した結果として、第2のケ
ースと同じ現象によるものと推定される。

たナイロン部分を染色することにより目視確認されたも
のである。
脂製燃料タンクは、器体壁内のバリヤ層に平行する接合
面にて溶着されているので、溶着部材と器体壁との接合
面にはバリヤ層が介在することがなく、接合面が溶融一
体化されて接合強度が確保され、また、接合面の近傍に
配設した屈曲部は溶着時の加圧力を支え、接合面の全面
当接を確保し、接合品質が向上される。

着部材による後付け形成が可能となる。その結果、燃料
透過防止効果に合わせて、器体の薄肉軽量化、多機種対
応、共通型利用による型コストの低減等の効果を奏す
る。

Claims (2)
- 【請求項1】 壁体内に形成したナイロン等のバリヤ層
によって燃料の透過を防止した樹脂製燃料タンクにおい
て、器体と同質の樹脂で形成した溶着部材を、上記バリ
ヤ層に沿った器体壁の表面を接合面として溶着接合した
ことを特徴とする樹脂製燃料タンク。 - 【請求項2】 溶着部材を溶着接合すべき器体壁の接合
面の近傍には、器体壁を屈曲形成することによって溶着
時の加圧力を支える屈曲部を配設したことを特徴とする
請求項1に記載の樹脂製燃料タンク。
