【発明の詳細な説明】
【０００１】
【産業上の利用分野】本発明はコネクタ着脱形半導体レ
―ザモジュ―ルに関し、特に光ファイバ―側がコネクタ
構造で着脱できるコネクタ着脱形半導体レ―ザモジュ―
ルに関する。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】半導体レ―ザモジュ―ルはＬＤモジュ―
ルとも呼称されているが、レ―ザダイオ―ド（ＬＤ）か
ら出射されたレ―ザ光を光学的レンズで集束して光ファ
イバ―に導き結合するものである。又構造的には光ファ
イバ―側が着脱可能のものと、固定のものとがあるが固
定形は比較的簡易構造のものに多い。
【０００３】従来、この種コネクタ着脱形半導体レ―ザ
モジュ―ルとしては、図２で説明する構造のものが一般
的である。図２は従来例の構造を示す断面図である。Ｌ
Ｄペレット１からの出射光はレンズ２により集束されガ
ラススペ―サ―６を介しレセプタクル５に嵌合した光フ
ァイバ―３に結合されている。光ファイバ―３はフェ―
ルに保持され、レセプタクル５にコネクタ構造で嵌合し
ている。ガラススペ―サ―６はＬＤ側の端面は光軸に対
して斜めとなるように形成され、光ファイバ―３側の端
面は光フィバ―３の端面と互いに付き当てるフィジカル
コンタクトとなっている。これは光ファイバ―３の端面
における近端反射光のＬＤへの再注入を抑制し結合損失
を減ずるものである。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】以上説明したように従
来例では、ガラススペ―サ―を要し、このガラススペ―
サ―は両端面を互いに斜めに研磨するため、研磨工数が
相当かかり生産性も低く、又ガラススペ―サ―の支持部
品も必要となるため、全体の生産コストが高くなる問題
があった。

【課題を解決するための手段】本発明のコネクタ着脱形
半導体レザモジュ―ルは、レ―ザ光を出射するＬＤ素子
と、前記レ―ザ光を集束するレンズと、前記レンズの集
束点に光ファイバ―の端面を位置し固定させる光コネク
タ部とを配置構成したコネクタ着脱形半導体レ―ザモジ
ュ―ルにおいて、前記レンズ端面と前記光ファイバ―の
端面とがフィジカルコンタクトの状態で突き当る位置関
係を保持した構造を有している。

【実施例】本発明の一実施例を図を参照して説明する。 図１は実施列の構造を示す断面図である。ＬＤパッケ―
ジ７内のＬＤペレット１の出射光はレンズ２の球面によ
り集束され光コネクタ部の光ファイバ―３に結合する。 光コネクタ部はレセプタクル５と光ファイバ―３を保持
するフェル―ル４とから構成する。フェル―ル４に保持
された光ファイバ―３はレセプタクル５に嵌合する。
【０００７】レンズ２はガラスの光学研磨又は型形成に
より、一端面は球面、他端面は平面に作られ、レセプタ
クル５の嵌合穴内に低融点ガラスにて固定される。この
時、ガラスの平面側が光コネクタ部の光ファイバ―３の
端面とフィジカルコンタクトするような位置に固定され
る。従って光ファイバ―３の端面におけるＬＤ出射光の
反射は小さく抑えられる。
【０００８】尚、ＬＤパッケ―ジ７はＬＤ出射光と光フ
ァイバ―３の結合効率が最大となる位置に調整した後、
サポ―ト９を介してキャップ８とレセプタクル５をＹＡ
Ｇレ―ザスポット溶接で固定して組立が完了する。

【発明の効果】以上説明したように本発明のコネクタ着
脱形半導体レ―ザモジュ―ルは、レンズの端面を直接光
ファイバ―端面にフィジカルコンタクトする構造により
、ガラススペ―サ―を使用することなく、光ファイバ―
端面の反射を小さく抑えることができる。従って部品点
数及び組立工数の減少が可能であり、コスト低減の効果
がある。

  1. 【請求項１】　　レ―ザ光を出射するＬＤ素子と、前記
    レ―ザ光を集束するレンズと、前記レンズの集束点に光
    ファイバ―の端面を位置し固定させる光コネクタ部とを
    配置構成したコネクタ着脱形半導体レ―ザモジュ―ルに
    おいて、前記レンズ端面と前記光ファイバ―の端面とが
    フィジカルコンタトの状態で突き当る位置関係を保持し
    た構造を特徴とするコネクタ着脱形半導体レ―ザ―モジ
    ュ―ル。
