Description

【考案の詳細な説明】 《産業上の利用分野》 この考案は、車両用灯具、特にレンズをレンズ
支持部材に超音波溶着により接合するタイプの車
両用灯具に関する。
《従来の技術》 第3図は、この種の車両用灯具の一例を示す正
面図、第4図は、その−線断面図である。こ
の灯具は、車両室内の天井に設けられるスポツト
ランプで、内面に集光レンズ素子1aを有するレ
ンズ1が、配光を規制するためのシエード2を介
してレンズ支持部材であるカバー3の凹部4内の
段部4aに超音波溶着により接合されている。カ
バー3の凹部4は、その周壁4bが後方に突出し
て、その後端面にソケツト基板5が熱かしめによ
り取り付けられている。そして、このソケツト基
板5にバルブ6を保持したソケツト7が着脱可能
に取り付けられている。第3図における符号8
は、バルブ6を点消灯させるためのスイツチを示
している。
第5図に示すように、レンズ1の周縁に形成さ
れた脚部9の端面9aには、対向する二辺にそれ
ぞれ超音波溶着用のビード10が形成されて、こ
れらビード10をカバー3の凹段部4aに超音波
溶着して、レンズ1をカバー3に取り付けてい
る。
《考案が解決しようとする問題点》 しかしながら、このようなレンズ接合構造にお
いては、レンズ1が半透明樹脂で形成されている
ため、超音波溶着部分すなわちビード10の部分
がレンズ1前面から見えてしまい、見栄えの悪い
ものとなつていた。また、超音波溶着時にレンズ
1がカバー3の凹部4内で移動してその位置が定
まらず、レンズ1周囲とカバー3の凹部4周囲と
の間の隙間がばらついて、これも見栄えを悪くす
る原因になつていた。
そこでこの考案の目的は、レンズの位置決めが
きちんとでき、しかもレンズ溶着部における見栄
えを損うことのない改良されたレンズ接合構造を
備えた車両用灯具を提供することにある。
《問題点を解決するための手段》 この考案による車両用灯具は、レンズ脚部の外
側面の適宜箇所に突起を設け、この突起をレンズ
支持部材に形成されたレンズ収納凹部の内側面に
超音波溶着したことを特徴とする。
《作用》 レンズ脚部とレンズ支持部材凹部との接合が突
起を介して対向する両側面間で行なわれるため、
レンズの位置が定まるとともに、レンズ接合部に
おける見栄えの低下が防止される。
《実施例》 第1図には、この考案による車両用灯具の一実
施例が示されている。この灯具は、第3図および
第4図に示すスポツトランプと、レンズ接合部を
除いて同じ構造になつており、これらの図に用い
た符号を同様な部材および部位に対して用いてあ
る。
レンズ1は、半透明のポリカーボネート樹脂で
成形され、その裏面に拡散したレンズ素子1aを
有するとともに、その周縁に脚部9を有する。脚
部9の端面四隅には円錐状の突起11が成形さ
れ、また脚部9の各外側面下部には矩形状の突起
12がそれぞれ成形されている。この側面突起1
2の形状、配置場所および個数は適宜設定され
る。
シエード2は、メツキを施した板金製のもの
で、四隅にレンズ1の円錐突起11を逃げるため
の切り欠き13が形成されるとともに、中央部に
レンズ1のレンズ素子1aに対向するこれよりも
少し小さな開口14が形成されている。
レンズ支持部材であるカバー3は、ABS樹脂
で成形され、その前面にレンズ1を収納するため
の凹部4を備えている。この凹部4は、その途中
に段部4aを有し、その下方はバルブを収納する
ための空間となつている。
カバー3の前面から凹段部4aまでの距離は、
レンズ1をカバー3に溶着したときにレンズ1の
表面とカバー3の表面がほぼ同一面になるように
設定されている。また、レンズ脚部9の側面突起
12の突出量は、レンズ1周囲とカバー凹部4周
位との間の隙間より若干大きく設定されている。
このようなレンズ1、シエード2およびカバー
3は、第2図に示すように、まず受治具15上の
所定位置にレンズ1を逆さまにして乗せ、その上
にシエード2を乗せ、その上から逆さまにしたカ
バー3をその凹部4をレンズ1に合わせて受治具
15上に乗せる。そして、カバー4の凹右4後方
からその内周壁4bに沿う大きさの超音波ホーン
16をその先端を段部4aの裏側に当接して超音
波振動を与える。これによつて、脚部9端面の円
錐突起11が凹段部4aに、またレンズ脚部9側
面の矩形突起12の側面が凹部4の側面にそれぞ
れ超音波溶着される。
上記実施例においては、レンズ1がポリカーボ
ネート樹脂で、カバー3がABS樹脂で成形され
ているため、相溶性があまり良くないので、超音
波溶着した場合の接合力があまり強くない。そこ
でレンズ側面突起12の他のレンズ端面突起11
を設けて超音波溶着における接合力を増している
が、レンズ1とカバー3とが相溶性の良い材質ど
おしの組み合わせの場合は、レンズ端面突起11
による溶着を省略することができる。
《考案の効果》 以上のように、この考案による車両用灯具は、
レンズ脚部側面に突起を設け、この突起をレンズ
支持部材のレンズ収納凹部側面に超音波溶着した
ので、レンズのレンズ収納凹部に対する位置決め
がきちんと行なわれてレンズの片寄りをなくすこ
とができ、また溶着部が側面になるので、レンズ
前面からの見栄えを損うことがない。

  1. レンズ周縁に形成された脚部をレンズ支持部材
    に形成された凹部内に超音波溶着により接合した
    車両用灯具であつて、前記レンズ脚部外側面の適
    宜箇所に突起を形成するとともに、この突起を前
    記レンズ支持部材凹部の内側面に超音波溶着によ
    り接合した車両用灯具。
