Description

【考案の詳細な説明】 本考案は、磁気テープカセツトを収納するケー
スに関する。
この種のケースにおいて、内部に挿入された磁
気テープカセツトを外部から確認できるように、
ケース本体の少なくとも一面に透明窓を設ける場
合、従来は、ポリプロピレン等のプラスチツクに
よつて製函された実質的に不透明なケース本体の
少なくとも一面に切欠を設け、該切欠に透明なプ
ラスチツクで成るシートを接着して透明窓を形成
していた。透明窓を形成するプラスチツクシート
と、ケース本体とは、必要な接着強度を確保する
と同時に接着作業性を向上させるため、超音波接
着法または接着面を高温で溶融して接着する熱接
着法等によつて接着するのが普通である。
この場合、透明窓を形成するプラスチツクシー
トとして、ケース本体とは異なる異種材質のプラ
スチツク材を使用すると、接着溶融時のプラスチ
ツク材相互の分子結合が不充分となり、接着不可
や接着強度不足を生じることから、一般に透明窓
はケース本体と同質のプラスチツク材によつて構
成される。ところが、透明窓をケース本体と同質
のポリプロピレンシートで構成した場合、必要な
窓強度を確保するために、最低でも0.3mm程度の
厚さとしなければならないため、透明度が悪くな
つて、白濁に近いものとなり、透視窓としての機
能が損なわれてしまうという問題があつた。
そこで本考案は充分な接着強度及び高い透明度
を持つ透明窓を有する磁気テープカセツト用ケー
スを提供することを目的とする。
上記目的を達成するため、本考案は、プラスチ
ツクによつて製函された実質的に不透明なケース
本体の少なくとも一面に切欠を設け、該切欠に透
明なプラスチツクシート材を接着して透明窓を形
成した磁気テープカセツト用ケースにおいて、前
記プラスチツクシート材は、前記ケース本体と同
材質であつて透明なプラスチツクシートで構成さ
れ前記ケース本体に接着される第1の層と、該第
1の層とは異なる材質であつて前記第1の層より
厚い透明なプラスチツクシートで構成された第2
の層とを互いに重ね合せて接着したもので構成さ
れていることを特徴とする。
以下実施例たる添付図面を参照し本考案の内容
を具体的に説明する。第1図は本考案に係る磁気
テープカセツト用ケースの斜視図、第2図は第1
図のA−A線上における断面図、第3図は第2図
のB部分の拡大断面図である。この実施例では、
ポリプロピレンで構成したケース本体1の一側面
に、磁気テープカセツトを挿入するための開口部
2を設けると共に、ケース本体1の一面1aの略
中央部に開口させた切欠部3に、透明なプラスチ
ツクシート材を接着して、透明窓4を形成した構
造となつている。
前記透明窓4を構成するプラスチツクシート材
は、第3図に拡大して示すように、ケース本体1
と同材質であつて透明なプラスチツクシート、例
えばポリプロピレンで構成された第1の層4a
と、ケース本体1及び前記第1の層4aとは異な
る材質、例えばポスチレンで構成され、前記第1
の層4aよりは厚い透明なプラスチツクシートに
よる第2の層4bとを互いに重ね合せてラミネー
トした構成とし、前記第1の層4aを、ケース本
体1の一面1aの裏面側に超音波接着または熱接
着によつて接着した構造となつている。
上述のように、ケース本体1と同材質のポリプ
ロピレンで構成された第1の層4aを、ケース本
体1に接着する構造であるので、接着溶融時のプ
ラスチツク分子結合が密になり、充分な接着強度
が得られる。しかも、この第1の層4aの背面
に、これとは異質で、厚いプラスチツクシートで
なる第2の層4bをラミネートしてあるので、該
第2の層4bが第1の層4aに対する補強層とな
る。このため、第1の層4aの厚さを薄くして透
明度を向上させる一方、第1の層4aの薄型化に
よる強度の低下分を第2の層4bで補い、透明窓
4としての透明度と窓強度とを同時に向上させる
ことが可能になる。例えば、第1の層4aの厚さ
を0.02〜0.15mmとすると共に、第2の層4bの厚
さを0.15〜0.25mm程度とすることにより、透明度
と機械的強度とを同時に向上させることができる
のである。
しかも、第1の層4aと、これとは材質の異な
る第2の層4bとを積層した構造となつているの
で、単層構造のものよりも強度が大きくなり、透
明窓4に変形が生じにくくなる。また、第1の層
4aに対して、これとは材質の異なる第2の層4
bを積層する構造としたことにより、透明窓4を
形成するプラスチツク材料の選択幅が広がり、安
価でしかも、透明度の高い透明窓4を形成するこ
とが可能になる。例えば、第1の層4aとして、
透明度は比較的悪いが安価なものを使用する一
方、第2の層4bとして透明度の高いものを使用
し、単板を用いた場合に比べて、全体としての透
明度が高く、しかもコストの安価な透明窓4を形
成することができるのである。
上記実施例では、第1の層4aを第2の層4b
とを積層した二層構造となつており、第1の層4
aと4bとの間の温度収縮差で、これらの積層体
がカール等の変形を起し、透明窓4が変形する場
合がある。この透明窓4の変形防止手段として
は、第2の層4bの、第1の層4aを重ね合せた
面とは反対側の面に、第1の層4aと同材質の補
強層を重ねる構造が適当である。このような積層
構造をとると、補強層たる第2の層4bの表裏面
の温度収縮バランスを保ち、カール等による透明
窓4の変形を防止することができる。
また、この実施例では、透明窓4の窓部を内側
から外側に向つて段差bだけ周囲より低くなるよ
うに凹陥させることにより、開口部2を通して挿
脱される磁気テープカセツト5が透明窓4の窓内
面に摺接することがないようにし、磁気テープカ
セツト5の挿脱による透明窓4の内面の損傷を防
ぎ、透明度が損なわれるのを防止できるようにし
てある。また、透明窓4の外面もケース本体1の
外面より段差aだけ低くなつており、ケースを積
み重ねた場合にも透明窓4の外面に傷が発生しな
いようにしてある。
以上述べたように、本考案は、プラスチツクに
よつて製函された不透明なケース本体の少なくと
も一面に切欠を設け、該切欠に透明なプラスチツ
クシート材を接着して透明窓を形成した磁気テー
プカセツト用ケースにおいて、前記プラスチツク
シート材は、前記ケース本体と同材質であつて透
明なプラスチツクシートで構成され前記ケース本
体に接着される第1の層と、該第1の層とは異な
る材質であつて前記第1の層より厚い透明なプラ
スチツクシートで構成された第2の層とを互いに
重ね合せて接着したもので構成されているから、
充分な窓強度及び高い透明度を持つ透明窓を有す
る磁気テープカセツト用ケースを提供することが
できる。

Claims (1)

  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 (1) プラスチツクによつて製函された実質的に不
    透明なケース本体の少なくとも一面に切欠を設
    け、該切欠に透明なプラスチツクシート材を接
    着して透明窓を形成した磁気テープカセツト用
    ケースにおいて、前記プラスチツクシート材
    は、前記ケース本体と同材質であつて透明なプ
    ラスチツクシートで構成され前記ケース本体に
    接着される第1の層と、該第1の層とは異なる
    材質であつて前記第1の層より厚い透明なプラ
    スチツクシートで構成された第2の層とを互い
    に重ね合せて接着したもので構成されているこ
    とを特徴とする磁気テープカセツト用ケース。 (2) 前記第2の層は、前記第1の層のある面とは
    反対側の面に、該第1の層と同材質のプラスチ
    ツクシートを重ね合せてあることを特徴とする
    実用新案登録請求の範囲第1項に記載の磁気テ
    ープカセツト用ケース。 (3) 前記ケース本体と前記第1の層とは、超音波
    接着または熱接着によつて接着したことを特徴
    とする実用新案登録請求の範囲第1項または第
    2項に記載の磁気テープカセツト用ケース。 (4) 前記ケース本体及び前記第1の層は、ポリプ
    ロピレンで構成し、前記第2の層はポリスチレ
    ンで構成したことを特徴とする実用新案登録請
    求の範囲第1項、第2項または第3項に記載の
    磁気テープカセツト用ケース。 (5) 前記透明窓の外面は、前記ケース本体の外面
    より低くしたことを特徴とする実用新案登録請
    求の範囲第1項、第2項、第3項または第4項
    に記載の磁気テープカセツト用ケース。 (6) 前記透明窓の窓部は、内面が端部の内面より
    低くなるように凹陥されていることを特徴とす
    る実用新案登録請求の範囲第1項、第2項、第
    3項、第4項または第5項に記載の磁気テープ
    カセツト用ケース。
