Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は、例えばガソリン給油機の表示部などに用いる
表示器に関する。
〔従来の技術〕
かかる表示器は、給油量、給油金額、単価などの給油デ
ータ等を表示するものであるが、従来、７つのセグメン
トを日字形に組合わせたものを複数桁並べた７セグメジ
トタイプのデイスプレィが主として用いられている。
これには第６図に示すように給油データとして給油量だ
けでなく、給油金額や単価も表示する金銭表示型とよば
れているものと、第７図に示すように給油量のみを大き
く表示する給油量表示型とよばれているものとがあり、
給油所の方針などにより適宜選択している。
〔発明が解決しようとする課題〕
しかし、両タイプのものは機能的には同じであるが大き
さなどの規格が異なるため、両者間のデイスプレィパネ
ルやその駆動回路に互換性がなく、このため使い勝手の
よくないものとなっている。
かかる不都合を解消するものとして、第８図に示すよう
なドツトタイプのデイスプレィを表示器に使用すること
が考えられた。これは点状の多数の表示素子を密に集合
させたもので、給油量、表示型として使用する場合には
給油量を中央に大きく表示し、金銭表示型として使用す
る場合には、給油量金額、単価を小さく表示していた。
また、数字以外にも英字、カナ文字、略漢字や記号など
も表現できて、使い勝手がよく使用範囲も拡大できる。
しかし、このドツトタイプのものはパネルや駆動画路の
構造が７セグメントタイプのものに比べ複雑でコスト高
となっている・ 本発明の目的は前記従来例の不都合を解消し、７セグメ
ントタイプのデイスプレィと同等のｌな構造、低コスト
で、給油量表示型として使用する場合には、給油量を大
きく表示でき、金銭表示型として使用する場合には、給
油量および給油金額を小さく表示でき、１つの表示器で
もって両者に選択的に共用できる表示器を提供すること
にある。
〔課題を解決するための手段〕
本発明は前記目的を達成するため、横長のセグメントを
６つ縦に間隔を有して配設し、横長のセグメントの両端
を連設するように縦長のセグメントを配設した表示単体
を複数桁設けたことを要旨とするものである。
〔作用〕
本発明によれば、表示単体を実質的に２段に分けて使用
すれば、例えばその上段に給油金額、下段に給油量を示
す数字を表示でき、また、１つの大きな縦長のものとし
て使用すれば例えば給油量のみを大きく表示できる。
〔実施例〕
以下、図面について本発明の実施例を詳細に説明する。
第１図は本発明の表示器の実施例を示す正面図で、基板
４に形成した上部表示部１と下部表示部２とで構成され
、画表示部１．２ともにセグメント３の組合わせによる
。
まず、上部表示部ｌから説明すると、プラズマや液晶に
よる横長のセグメント３を６個ａ、ｂ、ｃ、ｄ、ｅ、ｆ
と縦に等間隔に配設し、このセグメントの両端を連結す
るように縦長のセグメント３を１０個ｇｚ　　ｈｓ　　
ｉ、ｊ、に、Ｉ、ｍ、ｎ、ｏ。
ｐと配設して全体として略梯子状の表示単体５を形成し
、かかる表示単体５を横に複数桁、図示の例では５桁設
ける。
図中７は小数点などを表わすための小さめのセグメント
７で、前記略梯子状の表示単体５の、上から第３段目、
第５段目、及び第６段目の位置に設けた。
下部表示部２は９個のセグメント３を田字形に組合わせ
た表示単体６を横に複数個、図示の例では６個設け、各
表示単体６間の下部に小数点などを表わすための小さめ
のセグメント７を設ける。
次に使用法を説明する。
例えば、給油所において金銭表示型として表示器を用い
た場合、給油金額、給油量、及び単価を表示するには、
第２図に示すように、まず上部表示部１の各表示単体５
を構成するセグメント３のうち、上部の日字形部分ａＸ
ｂ、Ｃ，ｇ、ｈ、１、ｍを給油金額の表示部とし、下部
の日字形部分ｄ、ｅ、ｆ、ｊ、に、ｏ、ｐを給油量の表
示部とし、中央のセグメントｉ、ｍは使用しない。また
、下端のセグメントのわきに位置するセグメント７を小
数点用のものに使用する。
そして、上部の日字形部の７つのセグメントａ、ｂ、ｃ
、ｇ、ｈ、１．ｍのうちから、適宜選択してｒ　４９６
３Ｊのように給油金額を示す数字を表わし、同様にして
下部の日字形部の７つのセグメントｄ、ｅ、ｆ、Ｌ　ｋ
、０、ｐ及び小数点を示すセグメント７を適宜選択して
［３９・７０Ｊのように給油量を示す数字を表わす。
また、下部表示部２の田字形に組合わされた９つのセグ
メント３のうちから適宜選択してｒ１２５Ｊのように単
価を示す数字を表わす。
次に給油量表示型として表示器を使用するには第３図に
示すように上部表示部１のみを使用するが、さらにこの
上部表示部１のセグメントのうちａ　％　Ｃ、ｅ　％　
ｇ　％　　’は使用せずに、ｂ、ｄ、ｆ。
ｈ−ｉｓ　　Ｊ　％　ｋｚ　ｒｒＬ−、ｎ、０、ｐを使
用し、この部分の１１個のセグメント３のうちから適宜
選択して「３９・７０」のように給油量を示す数字を大
きく表わす。この場合の数字の大きさは前記第２図に示
す金銭表示型の場合に比べて約２倍となり見易い。
また、第４図に示すように下部表示部２にアルファベッ
ト文字を表示することにより、各［ｉデーターの表示用
に使用することができる。図では、単価ｒＰＲＩ　ＣＥ
Ｊはｒ１２４ｊ円であることを示している。
なお、給油中に単価表示が変化することはないので、第
５図に示すように、下部表示部２は表示変更のできない
表示部としても良い。
〔発明の効果〕
以上述べたように本発明の表示器は、セグメントタイプ
でありながら使用するセグメントを選択することにより
、表示部を１つの大きなものとして１段に使用すること
も、これを分割して例えば２段にして使用することも可
能であるから、例えば種々の給油データの表示個所や大
きさを自由に設定でき、使い勝手のよいものである。
そして、ドツトタイプのものに比較して、駆動回路が簡
単でコストが安いものである。
