Claims (15)
- ハンドヘルド描画装置であって、
内部容積と、長手方向軸と、ポートとを有するハウジングであって、前記ポートは、前記ハウジングの側面領域に沿って設けられており、前記ハウジングの前記内部容積へ前記長手方向軸を横切る方向でのアクセスを可能にする、ハウジングと、
前記ポートに隣接する前記ハウジングの遠位端部分に結合され、出口ノズルと、材料のペレットを溶融するための加熱要素と、を含むノズルアセンブリと、
取り外し可能なカバー部と、該取り外し可能なカバー部によって支持されるカートリッジとを含むカートリッジアセンブリであって、該カートリッジアセンブリは、前記ハウジングの前記長手方向軸を横切る方向に前記ポートへ挿入可能であり、前記取り外し可能なカバー部は、前記ポートにおいて前記ハウジングに取り外し可能に装着可能であり、前記カートリッジは、前記ペレットを受け入れるように構成された1つ以上のチャンバを備え、前記1つ以上のチャンバは、前記取り外し可能なカバー部が前記ハウジングに結合されたときに前記ノズルアセンブリと位置合わせされ、前記ペレットが前記ハウジング内の活性位置に駆動されて支持され、前記加熱要素が前記ペレットを溶融させることを可能にするように構成された、カートリッジアセンブリと、
を含むハンドヘルド描画装置。 - 前記カートリッジが、前記取り外し可能なカバー部および前記ハウジングの前記ポートに対して回転可能となるように、前記カートリッジの少なくとも一部が、前記ハウジングの前記側面領域に沿って露出されている、請求項1に記載の描画装置。
- 前記カートリッジが、回転軸と、前記回転軸の周りに配置された複数のチャンバと、を有し、前記複数のチャンバの各々が、内部に複数のペレットを支持するように構成され、前記複数のチャンバのうちの活性チャンバを、活性位置において前記長手方向軸と整列して選択的に位置決めするように、前記回転軸の周りで回転可能である、請求項2に記載の描画装置。
- 前記カートリッジを回転させ、前記ペレットを前記活性チャンバから前記加熱要素に向かって駆動するための前進機構をさらに含む、請求項3に記載の描画装置。
- 前記ハウジング内に配置され、前記長手方向軸に沿って並進可能なプッシュロッドをさらに含み、前記プッシュロッドが、前記ペレットを溶融させて前記材料を押し出すために前記活性チャンバから前記加熱要素に向かって前記ペレットを駆動するための延伸位置に向かって前記活性チャンバ内に移動可能である、請求項4に記載の描画装置。
- 前記前進機構が、前記プッシュロッドが前記延伸位置から離れる方向に移動することによって作動するリンクシステムを含み、前記リンクシステムに、追加の材料を前記活性位置に位置決めするためのカートリッジに対して駆動部材を接触させる、請求項5に記載の描画装置。
- 前記リンクシステムが、ピボット逆リンク機構と、駆動ロッドと、ピボット前進リンク機構と、を含む、請求項6に記載の描画装置。
- 前記プッシュロッドの前記延伸位置への運動を駆動するように構成されたばね機構をさらに含む、請求項5に記載の描画装置。
- モータを作動させて前記プッシュロッドの動きを制御し、それによって前記出口ノズルから前記ペレットを押し出すように構成されたアクチュエータをさらに含む、請求項5に記載の描画装置。
- 前記描画装置の装填チャンバから前記プッシュロッドを引き込むように構成された後退機構をさらに含む、請求項5に記載の描画装置。
- 前記カートリッジおよび前記取り外し可能なカバー部が単一のユニットとして協働して、前記ハウジングからの前記カートリッジの挿入または取り外しを可能にし、前記カートリッジが前記取り外し可能なカバー部に回転可能に支持されている、請求項2に記載の描画装置。
- クリップ機構、材料の複数のペレットが支持されるベルト、スクリュー駆動機構、手動プッシュロッド機構、または波動生成機構をさらに備える、請求項1に記載の描画装置。
- ハンドヘルド描画装置で使用するためのモジュール式カートリッジアセンブリであって、(i)取り外し可能なカバー部と、(ii)係合空洞を有する装着構成要素と、(iii)前記取り外し可能なカバー部に支持されたカートリッジであって、複数のチャンバを有し、前記係合空洞内に少なくとも部分的に受け入れられるように構成されたカートリッジと、を備え、前記複数のチャンバのそれぞれは、ペレットを担持するように構成されており、前記カートリッジは、長手方向軸の周りを回転して、前記複数のチャンバのうちの活性チャンバを前記取り外し可能なカバー部に対して目標位置に整列させるように構成されており、前記取り外し可能なカバー部は、前記ハンドヘルド描画装置のハウジングの長手方向軸を横切る方向に、前記ハンドヘルド描画装置のポートに結合可能であり、前記目標位置にあるときに、前記複数のチャンバのそれぞれから前記ペレットを送り出すことを可能にする、モジュール式カートリッジアセンブリ。
- 前記取り外し可能なカバー部から延在する装着ブラケットをさらに含み、前記装着ブラケットが、前記装着構成要素が前記取り外し可能なカバー部に結合される組み立てられた構成で前記カートリッジが受け入れられるカートリッジレセプタクルを画定する、請求項13に記載のカートリッジアセンブリ。
