Claims (6)
- 車両に取り付けられ、衝突エネルギを吸収する衝突エネルギ吸収装置であって、
加圧部材、吸収部材及び前記加圧部材の移動方向をガイドするガイド部を備え、
前記吸収部材には、前記ガイド部にガイドされて移動する前記加圧部材が進入する穴が形成されており、
調芯部材をさらに備え、
前記吸収部材は、前記調芯部材と前記加圧部材との間に設けられており、
前記加圧部材が前記吸収部材のうち前記穴の周囲に当接するように、前記加圧部材の直径は、前記穴の直径より大きく設定されており、
前記ガイド部は、前記加圧部材に設けられたガイド棒であり、
前記調芯部材には、前記ガイド棒が嵌合するガイド穴が形成されており、
衝突時、前記加圧部材は、前記ガイド部によりガイドされ、当該加圧部材の先端部が前記吸収部材に形成された前記穴の内壁をせん断しつつ前記穴に進入することにより衝突エネルギを吸収する衝突エネルギ吸収装置。 - 前記ガイド部は、前記調芯部材に設けられたガイド棒であり、
前記加圧部材には、前記ガイド棒が嵌合するガイド穴が形成されている請求項1に記載の衝突エネルギ吸収装置。 - 前記加圧部材に形成された前記ガイド穴の中心軸、前記吸収部材に形成された前記穴の中心軸及び前記ガイド棒の中心軸は、一致している請求項2に記載の衝突エネルギ吸収装置。
- 前記穴は、前記加圧部材が対向する側からその反対側に向かって錐台状に狭くなるテーパ形状の穴である請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載の衝突エネルギ吸収装置。
- 前記加圧部材のうち少なくとも前記先端部は、前記吸収部材より硬い材料で構成されている請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載の衝突エネルギ吸収装置。
- 前記加圧部材は、前記先端部と当該先端部が取り付けられる加圧部材本体とを備える請求項5に記載の衝突エネルギ吸収装置。
