Description
図1は、本実施の形態に係る充電装置を備える充電システムの全体構成の一例を示す図である。充電システムは、車両1と、給電設備300とを備える。給電設備300は、車両1に交流電力を供給するための設備である。本実施の形態に係る車両1は電気自動車である例について説明するが、車両1は給電設備300から供給される交流電力を受けて車載の蓄電装置を充電する外部充電が可能であればよく、電気自動車に限られるものではない。たとえば、車両1は、プラグインハイブリッド自動車や燃料電池自動車であってもよい。
給電設備300のEVSE320は、CCID321およびCPLT制御回路322に加えて、電磁コイル325と、制御部326とをさらに含む。CPLT制御回路322は、発振装置323と、抵抗R20と、電圧センサ324とを含む。

<第2上限電流>
ここで、充電ケーブル330を流れる電流が充電ケーブル330の定格電流(第1上限電流Ilim1)を超えてしまうと、充電ケーブル330の破損を生じさせる可能性がある。そこで、パイロット信号CPLTを正確に読み取って適切に第1上限電流Ilim1を設定することが重要である。

給電設備300の仕様と充電ケーブルの定格電流との関係として、たとえば、上記の式(4)(5)がECU100のメモリ120に記憶されてもよいし、給電設備300の仕様と、式(4)(5)により定まる電流I1,I2との関係を示すマップがECU100のメモリ120に記憶されてもよい。
図4は、ECU100で実行される制限電流Ilimを設定するための処理の手順を示すフローチャートである。このフローチャートは、車両1のインレット70に充電ケーブル330のコネクタ340が接続された際に開始される。図4に示すフローチャートの各ステップ(以下ステップを「S」と略す)は、ECU100によるソフトウェア処理によって実現される場合について説明するが、その一部あるいは全部がECU100内に作製されたハードウェア(電気回路)によって実現されてもよい。
Claims (1)
- 車両外部の給電設備から充電ケーブルを介して供給される電力を用いて車載の蓄電装置を充電する充電方法であって、
前記蓄電装置に供給する充電電流の上限を設定し、
前記充電ケーブルを介して通信される信号から第1上限電流を算出し、
前記給電設備が供給する電力の電圧を判定し、前記電圧に基づいて第2上限電流を設定し、
前記第1上限電流と前記第2上限電流とのうちのどちらか小さい方に基づいて前記充電電流の上限を設定する、充電方法。
