Claims (13)
- ディスプレイデバイスを強制的に曲げて前記ディスプレイデバイスの凹状内側表面を曲面物体の凸状外側表面に適合させることを含み、
前記曲面物体の前記凸状外側表面が、前記ディスプレイデバイスの前記凹状内側表面よりも小さい曲率半径を有し、
前記曲面物体が、前記凸状外側表面から前記曲面物体の内側まで延在する貫通孔を備え、
前記ディスプレイデバイスを強制的に曲げて前記ディスプレイデバイスの前記凹状内側表面を前記曲面物体の前記凸状外側表面に適合させることが、前記ディスプレイデバイスのコネクタを前記貫通孔に通し、その後、前記貫通孔の領域に機械的支持を提供した後に行われ、
前記ディスプレイデバイスが、前記ディスプレイデバイスの平坦なコンポーネントを強制的に曲げて順番に曲表面に積層することを含む方法によって成形される、方法。 - 前記ディスプレイデバイスが、
第1のコンポーネントを強制的に曲げて、曲面コンポーネントの曲表面に適合させることと、
強制的に曲げられた構成の前記第1のコンポーネントを、前記曲面コンポーネントの前記曲表面に接着させて、前記ディスプレイデバイスの第2のコンポーネントを強制的に曲げて、前記第1のコンポーネントの外側表面に適合させることと、強制的に曲げられた構成の前記第2のコンポーネントを、前記第1のコンポーネントに接着させることと、を含む方法によって成形され、
前記第1および第2のコンポーネントが各々、タッチセンサコンポーネントまたはタッチセンサコンポーネントのコンポーネントフィルム、液晶セルで使用するための一対の直交偏光シートのうちの1つ以上、2つの含有フィルムの間に含まれる液晶材料を含む液晶セル、1つ以上のカプセル化フィルム、1つ以上の拡散シート、液晶セルで使用するためのバックライトコンポーネント、発光ダイオードユニット、および発光ダイオードユニットで使用するための円形偏光子コンポーネントまたはそのコンポーネントフィルム、のうちの1つまたは2つ以上のそれらの組み合わせを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記曲面コンポーネントが凹状表面を含む、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記曲面コンポーネントが凸状表面を含む、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記曲面コンポーネントが、1つ以上の凹状部分と1つ以上の凸状部分との組み合わせを含む、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記第1のコンポーネントを前記曲面コンポーネントの前記曲表面に強制的に曲げることが、前記第1のコンポーネントの増加する遠位部分を、前記曲面コンポーネントの増加する遠位部分に連続的に曲げることを含む、請求項2~5のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記第1のコンポーネントの増加する遠位部分を、前記曲面コンポーネントの増加する遠位部分に連続的に曲げることが、前記第1のコンポーネントの前記増加する遠位部分と前記曲面コンポーネントの前記増加する遠位部分とを、前記曲面コンポーネントの前記増加する遠位部分のそれぞれの局所法線に平行な方向に、連続的に一緒に押し付けることを含む、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記曲面物体が円筒形コンポーネントであり、前記ディスプレイデバイスが、前記曲面物体の周りに実質的に360度延在するように、前記曲面物体に積層される、請求項1~7のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記曲面コンポーネントが、比較的剛性の一時的キャリアの曲表面上に支持された比較的可撓性のウィンドウ/カバーコンポーネントを含む、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記ディスプレイデバイスが、
第1の偏光子コンポーネントを強制的に曲げて、前記曲面コンポーネントの前記曲表面に適合させ、かつ前記強制的に曲げられた構成の前記第1の偏光子コンポーネントを、前記曲面コンポーネントの前記曲表面に接着させることと、
その後、液晶ディスプレイセルコンポーネントを強制的に曲げて、前記第1の偏光子コンポーネントの曲表面に適合させ、かつ前記強制的に曲げられた構成の前記液晶ディスプレイセルコンポーネントを、前記第1の偏光子コンポーネントの前記曲表面に接着させることと、
第2の偏光子コンポーネントを強制的に曲げて、前記液晶ディスプレイセルコンポーネントの曲表面に適合させ、かつ前記強制的に曲げられた構成の第2の偏光子コンポーネントを、前記液晶ディスプレイセルコンポーネントの前記曲表面に接着させることと、を含む、方法によって成形される、請求項2に記載の方法。 - ディスプレイデバイスを組み立てる方法であって、
第1のコンポーネントを強制的に曲げて、曲面コンポーネントの曲表面に適合させ、かつ強制的に曲げられた構成の前記第1のコンポーネントを、前記曲面コンポーネントの前記曲表面に接着させることを含み、
前記第1のコンポーネントを前記曲面コンポーネントの前記曲表面に強制的に曲げることが、前記第1のコンポーネントの増加する遠位部分と前記曲面コンポーネントのそれぞれの増加する遠位部分とを、前記曲面コンポーネントの前記増加する遠位部分のそれぞれの局所法線に平行な押し付け方向に、連続的に一緒に押し付けることを含み、
前記第1のコンポーネントの前記増加する遠位部分を前記曲面コンポーネントの前記増加する遠位部分に曲げることが、平面ベースの上で自由に回転させるために前記平面ベース上に前記曲面コンポーネントを載せること、及び、前記平面ベース上で前記曲面コンポーネントを回転させながら、前記第1のコンポーネントの前記増加する遠位部分と、前記曲面コンポーネントの前記増加する遠位部分とを連続的に一緒に押し付けることを含む、方法。 - 前記曲面コンポーネントが、前記ディスプレイデバイスの外側の視認表面を成形する凸面を含む、請求項2に記載の方法。
