Description
前記液体吸収体を収容する収容空間を画成する壁部と、前記壁部から前記収容空間内に向って突出して設けられた突出部と、を有する容器と、を備え、
前記突出部の先端と、前記突出部とは異なる構造体との最小離間距離をL1とし、前記小片の最遠端間距離の平均値をL2としたとき、
0<L1/L2≦1.80を満足することを特徴とする。
図1は、本発明の液体吸収器の第1実施形態における使用状態の一例を示す部分垂直断面図である。図2は、図1に示す液体吸収器が備える小片の斜視図である。図3は、図1に示す液体吸収器が備える小片の斜視図である。図4は、図1に示す液体吸収器が備える小片の斜視図である。図5は、図1に示す液体吸収器が備える小片の側面図である。図6は、図1に示す液体吸収器を蓋体側から見た図である。図7は、図1に示す突出部の拡大斜視図である。
図1に示すように、液体吸収器100は、インク吸収体収納容器である容器1と、インクQの吸収に用いられる液体吸収体としてのインク吸収体10と、を備えている。
なお、インク吸収体10には、大きさ、形状が異なる小片4が含まれていてもよい。
繊維基材2は、吸水性樹脂3をその表面に担持する支持体である。繊維基材2により、吸水性樹脂3を好適に担持させることができ、繊維基材2から吸水性樹脂3の脱落をより好適に防止することができる。また、小片4にインクQが付与された場合に、インクQを繊維基材2が一旦保持し、その後、吸水性樹脂3により効率よく送り込むことができ、小片4全体としてのインクQの吸収特性を向上させることができる。また、一般に、セルロース繊維等の繊維は、吸水性樹脂3に比べて安価であり、小片4の製造コストの低減の観点からも有利である。特に、古紙由来の繊維を用いた場合、上記のような効果はより顕著に発揮される。また、廃棄物の削減、資源の有効活用等の観点からも有利である。
インク吸収体10の構成成分である吸水性樹脂3は、吸水性を有する樹脂であればよく、特に限定されないが、例えば、カルボキシメチルセルロース、ポリアクリル酸、ポリアクリルアミド、澱粉-アクリル酸グラフト共重合体、澱粉-アクリロニトリルグラフト共重合体の加水分解物、酢酸ビニル-アクリル酸エステル共重合体、イソブチレンとマレイン酸との共重合体等、アクリロニトリル共重合体やアクリルアミド共重合体の加水分解物、ポリエチレンオキサイド、ポリスルフォン酸系化合物、ポリグルタミン酸や、これらの塩、架橋体等が挙げられる。ここで、吸水性とは、親水性を有し、水分を保持する機能を言う。吸水性樹脂3には、吸水するとゲル化するものが多い。
これにより、前述したような効果をより確実に発揮させることができる。
このような成分としては、例えば、界面活性剤、潤滑剤、消泡剤、フィラー、ブロッキング防止剤、紫外線吸収剤、顔料、染料等の着色剤、難燃剤、流動性向上剤等が挙げられる。
図1に示すように、容器1は、インク吸収体10を収納する収容空間93を有する容器本体9と、容器本体9に着脱自在に装着される蓋体8と、を備えている。
図8は、本発明の液体吸収器の第2実施形態を蓋体側から見た図である。図9は、図8に示す突出部の拡大斜視図である。
本実施形態は、突出部の構成が異なること以外は前記第1実施形態と同様である。
図10は、本発明の液体吸収器の第3実施形態を蓋体側から見た図である。図11は、図10中矢印A方向から見た図である。

なお、以下の説明において、温度条件、湿度条件を示していない処理は、温度25℃、相対湿度35%の環境下で行ったものである。また、各種測定についても、温度条件、湿度条件を示していないものは、温度25℃、相対湿度35%で行った。
(実施例1)
まず、シート状の繊維基材として、縦30cm、横22cm、厚さ0.5mmの古紙であるトッパン・フォームズ社製、G80A4Wを用意した。また、紙の重さは4g/1枚であった。
次いで、側鎖に酸基としてのカルボキシル基を有する吸水性樹脂であるポリアクリル酸重合架橋体としてのサンフレッシュ 500MPSA(三洋化成工業社製)を、古紙の純水を塗布した面側から付与した。この際、吸水性樹脂を、目開き寸法が0.106mmの網目を有するふるい(JTS-200-45-106 東京スクリーン社製)にかけながら付与した。古紙1枚当たりの吸水性樹脂の塗布量は、3gであった。
小片の構成、重量、かさ密度およびL1、L2を表1に示す通りとしたこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして実施例2~6、比較例1~3の試験用液体吸収器を得た。
次いで、液体吸収体がその位置に残るように板部材を引き抜いた。この際、一方の手で液体吸収体を軽く抑えつつ、他方の手で板部材を引き抜いた。そして、板部材が引き抜かれた後の液体吸収体を目視で確認し、以下のように評価を行った。
B:小片の落下が少なく、小片集合体が間隙にかけ渡された状態(図16参照)
C:小片の落下がやや多く、小片集合体が水平方向に垂れつつも間隙にかけ渡された状態(図17参照)
D:小片の落下が多く、小片集合体が間隙にかけ渡されていない状態(図18参照)
これらの結果を表1に示す。

- 繊維を含有する繊維基材と、吸水性樹脂とを含む小片を複数有する小片集合体で構成さ
れた液体吸収体と、
前記液体吸収体を収容する収容空間を画成する壁部と、前記壁部から前記収容空間内に
向って突出して設けられた突出部と、を有する容器と、を備え、
前記突出部の先端と、前記突出部とは異なる構造体との最小離間距離をL1とし、前記
小片の最遠端間距離の平均値をL2としたとき、
0<L1/L2≦1.80を満足することを特徴とする液体吸収器。 - 前記突出部は、前記容器本体の前記収容空間に臨む底面から突出して設けられている請
求項1に記載の液体吸収器。 - 前記突出部の前記先端の前記底面からの高さは、前記容器本体の深さの50%以上であ
る請求項2に記載の液体吸収器。 - 前記突出部は、前記容器本体の前記収容空間に臨む側面から突出して設けられている請
求項1に記載の液体吸収器。 - 前記容器は、前記収容空間を、第1収容空間と、前記第1収容空間よりも前記小片の充
填密度が低い第2収容空間とに仕切る仕切り部を有し、
前記突出部は、前記仕切り部に属する請求項1ないし4のいずれか1項に記載の液体吸
収器。 - 前記容器は、複数の前記突出部を備え、
