Description
[1] 絶縁体部と、該絶縁体部に埋設されたコイルとを含む素体と、
前記絶縁体部の表面に設けられ、前記コイルの末端に電気的に接続された外部電極と
を含む積層コイル部品であって、
前記コイルと前記絶縁体部との境界において、前記コイルの長さ方向に沿った溝状の空隙部を有し、
前記コイルは、前記空隙部において、前記コイルの長さ方向に沿った畝を有する、
積層コイル部品。
[2] 前記空隙部の幅は、コイル導体の幅の80%以下である、上記[1]に記載の積層コイル部品。
[3] 前記畝の幅は、10μm以上100μm以下である、上記[1]または[2]に記載の積層コイル部品。
チップのLT面を研磨紙に向けた状態で研磨を行い、素体の略中央部で研磨を停止する。その後、イオンミリング処理をして、マイクロスコープで観察を行う。
まず、フェライト材料を準備する。フェライト材料は、主成分としてFe、Zn、およびNiを含み、所望によりさらにCuを含む。通常、上記フェライト材料の主成分は、実質的にFe、Zn、NiおよびCuの酸化物(理想的には、Fe2O3、ZnO、NiOおよびCuO)から成る。
まず、導電性材料を準備する。導電性材料としては、例えば、Au、Ag、Cu、Pd、Ni等が挙げられ、好ましくはAgまたはCu、より好ましくはAgである。所定量の導電性材料の粉末を秤量し、所定量の溶剤(オイゲノールなど)、樹脂(エチルセルロースなど)、および分散剤と、プラネタリーミキサー等で混錬した後、3本ロールミル等で分散することで、コイル導体用導電性ペーストを作製することができる。
上記積層コイル部品1の空隙部11を作製するための樹脂ペーストを調製する。かかる樹脂ペーストは、溶剤(イソホロンなど)に、焼成時に消失する樹脂(アクリル樹脂など)を含有させることにより作製することができる。
(4-1)素体の作製
まず、金属プレートの上に熱剥離シートおよびPET(ポリエチレンテレフタレート)フィルムを積み重ねた基板(図示していない)を準備する。基板上に、上記フェライトペーストを所定回数印刷し、外層用のフェライトペースト層22を形成する(図5(a)および(b))。
次に、素体2の端面にAgおよびガラスを含む外部電極形成用Agペーストを塗布し、焼き付けすることで下地電極を形成する。次に、電解めっきで下地電極の上に、Ni被膜、Sn被膜を順次形成することにより、外部電極を形成し、図1に示すような積層コイル部品1が得られる。
焼成後のコイル導体の幅が150μm、厚みが40μmとなるようにし、樹脂ペースト層を2列(実施例)、および1列(比較例)形成し、空隙部を形成することで、実施例、および比較例の積層コイル部品を得た。試料のサイズは、実施例、比較例試料とも長さ(L)が1.0mm、幅(W)が0.5mm、高さ(T)が0.5mmであった。

- 絶縁体部と、該絶縁体部に埋設されたコイルとを含む素体と、
前記絶縁体部の表面に設けられ、前記コイルの末端に電気的に接続された外部電極と
を含む積層コイル部品であって、
前記コイルと前記絶縁体部との境界において、前記コイルの長さ方向に沿った溝状の空隙部を有し、
前記コイルは、前記空隙部において、前記コイルの長さ方向に沿って、空隙部の長さ方向全体に連続した畝を有し、
前記畝は、全ての前記空隙部において同じ形状を有する、
積層コイル部品。 - 前記空隙部の幅は、コイル導体の幅の80%以下である、請求項1に記載の積層コイル部品。
- 前記畝の幅は、10μm以上100μm以下である、請求項1または2に記載の積層コイル部品。
