Description

衝撃改質は、衝撃時に脆性または延性である材料の挙動、ならびに2つの状態間の遷移が起こる温度(すなわち、延性脆性遷移温度、DBTT)に関する。TPO配合物中のゴム含量が低減される場合、一般的な結果は、衝撃強度の低下、ならびにより高い温度への延性-脆性遷移シフトである。OBCの形態は、所要の剛性での衝撃性能改質を達成するための鍵であり、改良された低温衝撃特性のためには細かく均一に分布し安定なOBCのゴム粒子の分散が好ましい。以下で見て取れるように、本開示は、OBCを含有するTPO配合物中の低重量パーセントのポリプロピレンをエチレンに富むポリマーで置換することにより、ポリプロピレンの除去によるゴム含量の低減にもかかわらず、メルトフロー特性または曲げ弾性率に悪影響を及ぼすことなく改良された低温衝撃特性がもたらされるという驚くべき予期しない発見に関する。

Claims (9)
- (A)プロピレン系ポリマーの総重量に基づいて、少なくとも50.0重量%のプロピレン含量、および1.0g/10分~100.0g/10分のメルトフローレート(230℃、2.16kgでのASTM D-1238)を有する少なくとも1つのプロピレン系ポリマーを含む、50重量%~70重量%のプロピレン成分と、
(B)20重量%~30重量%のエチレン/α-オレフィンマルチブロックコポリマーであるオレフィンブロックコポリマーと、
(C)エチレン系ポリマーの総重量に基づいて、少なくとも50.0重量%のエチレン含量、および0.1g/10分~50.0g/10分のメルトインデックス(190℃、2.16kgでのASTM D-1238)を有する少なくとも1つのエチレン系ポリマーを含む、1重量%~20重量%のエチレン成分と、を含み、
エチレンが、前記オレフィンブロックコポリマーの全量の少なくとも70モルパーセントを構成する、組成物。 - (D)0.1重量%~20重量%の添加剤または充填剤をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記オレフィンブロックコポリマーが、0.850g/cc~0.890g/ccの密度(ASTM D792)、および0.1g/10分~10.0g/10分のメルトインデックス(190℃、2.16kgでのASTM D-1238)を有する、請求項1または2に記載の組成物。
- 7.0g/10分を超えるメルトフローレート(230℃、2.16kgでのASTM D-1238)をさらに含む、請求項1~3のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- -40℃で69.0kJ/m2以上のノッチ付き衝撃をさらに含む、請求項1~4のいずれかに記載の組成物。
