Description
Claims (11)
- 1つの選択回路に1つの表示ブロックが対応するように複数の選択回路と複数の表示ブロックとが配される表示装置であって、
前記複数の表示ブロックのそれぞれは、列方向に延在する複数の信号線と、前記複数の信号線の何れかにそれぞれ接続され、前記列方向および前記列方向と交差する行方向に行列状に配された複数の画素と、を含み、
前記複数の選択回路のそれぞれは、
前記複数の画素のうち前記行方向に並ぶ画素ごとに画像信号が書き込まれるように、前記複数の信号線のうち前記画像信号を供給する信号線を所定の順番で選択し、
前記複数の信号線のうち少なくとも1つの信号線を選択し前記画像信号を供給する時間が、前記複数の信号線のうち前記少なくとも1つの信号線以外の信号線を選択し前記画像信号を供給する時間と異なり、
前記複数の信号線は、前記複数の画素のうち発光色が互いに異なる画素にそれぞれ接続された第1の信号線および第2の信号線と、前記複数の画素のうち発光色が同じ画素にそれぞれ接続された第3の信号線および第4の信号線と、を含み、
前記第1の信号線の次に前記第2の信号線が選択され前記画像信号が供給される場合において前記第2の信号線が選択される時間が、前記第3の信号線の次に前記第4の信号線が選択され前記画像信号が供給される場合において前記第4の信号線が選択される時間よりも長いことを特徴とする表示装置。 - 前記複数の選択回路のそれぞれは、前記複数の信号線のうち前記画像信号を供給する信号線を選択する切替部を含み、
前記切替部は、前記複数の信号線のうち前記画像信号を供給する信号線が選択される順番および前記複数の信号線のうち連続して選択される信号線に供給される前記画像信号の信号電圧の変化の少なくとも一方に応じて、前記複数の信号線のうち前記画像信号を供給する信号線を選択している時間を変化させることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 前記複数の画素は、同じ発光色の画素ごとに画素群を構成し、
前記複数の画素のうち1つの行に配された画素のそれぞれに前記画像信号を供給する期間において、前記複数の選択回路のそれぞれは、前記画素群ごとに、前記画素群に含まれる画素のそれぞれに所定の順番で前記画像信号が書き込まれるように、前記複数の信号線のうち前記画像信号を供給する信号線を選択することを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の表示装置。 - 前記画像信号の信号電圧の範囲が、前記画素群ごとに異なり、
前記複数の画素のうち1つの行に配された画素のそれぞれに前記画像信号を供給する期間において、前記複数の選択回路のそれぞれは、前記画像信号の信号電圧の範囲の中央値に応じて前記画素群を順番に選択することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の表示装置。 - 前記複数の選択回路のそれぞれは、前記複数の画素のうち前記行方向に並ぶ第1の行に配された画素と前記第1の行とは異なる第2の行に配された画素とのそれぞれに前記画像信号を供給する際に、前記第1の行と前記第2の行との間で前記複数の信号線のうち前記画像信号を供給する信号線を異なる順番で選択することを特徴とする請求項1乃至4の何れか1項に記載の表示装置。
- 前記複数の選択回路のそれぞれは、前記第1の行の次に前記第2の行に前記画像信号を供給し、
前記複数の画素のうち前記第1の行で最後に前記画像信号が書き込まれる画素の発光色と、前記複数の画素のうち前記第2の行で最初に前記画像信号が書き込まれる画素の発光色と、が同じ発光色となるように、前記複数の信号線のうち前記画像信号が供給される信号線を選択することを特徴とする請求項5に記載の表示装置。 - 前記複数の選択回路のそれぞれは、前記第1の行と前記第2の行とで、前記複数の信号線のうち前記画像信号を供給する信号線を逆の順番で選択することを特徴とする請求項5または6に記載の表示装置。
- 前記複数の画素は、前記行方向に並ぶ第3の行に配された画素と前記第3の行とは異なる第4の行に配された画素とを含み、
前記第3の行に配された画素に前記画像信号を供給するために前記複数の信号線のうち第1の列の信号線が選択される時間と、前記第4の行に配された画素に前記画像信号を供給するために前記複数の信号線のうち第1の列の信号線が選択される時間と、が、互いに異なることを特徴とする請求項1乃至7の何れか1項に記載の表示装置。 - 前記複数の選択回路のそれぞれは、信号生成部を含み、
前記信号生成部は、前記複数の画素のうち1つの行に配された画素のそれぞれに前記画像信号が書き込まれるように前記複数の信号線のそれぞれを選択し前記画像信号を供給した後、次の行に配された画素のそれぞれに前記画像信号が書き込まれるように前記複数の信号線のそれぞれを選択し前記画像信号を供給するまでの間、前記画像信号の信号電圧の最大値と最小値との間の信号電圧の信号を生成することを特徴とする請求項1乃至8の何れか1項に記載の表示装置。 - 前記複数の選択回路のそれぞれは、信号生成部を含み、
前記信号生成部は、前記複数の画素のうち1つの行に配された画素のそれぞれに前記画像信号が書き込まれるように前記複数の信号線のそれぞれを選択し前記画像信号を供給した後、次の行に配された画素のそれぞれに前記画像信号が書き込まれるように前記複数の信号線のそれぞれを選択し前記画像信号を供給するまでの間、前記次の行に配された画素のうち最初に前記画像信号が書き込まれる画素の前記画像信号の信号電圧の信号を生成することを特徴とする請求項1乃至8の何れか1項に記載の表示装置。 - 前記複数の画素のうち1つの行に配された画素に前記画像信号を供給する期間において、前記複数の信号線のうち最初に選択される信号線が選択される時間が、前記複数の信号線のうち2番目に選択される信号線が選択される時間よりも長いことを特徴とする請求項1乃至10の何れか1項に記載の表示装置。
