Description
本実施形態に係る木質複合板の製造方法は、ヤシの粉砕物と多価カルボン酸とを含有するバイオマス組成物を木質板の表面に供給した後に熱圧成形する。バイオマス組成物によって、環境に配慮した上で、優れた外観を有する木質複合板を製造することができる。
(2.1)バイオマス組成物
バイオマス組成物は、ヤシの粉砕物と、多価カルボン酸と、を含有する。バイオマス組成物は、接着剤として使用可能であり、また成形材料としても使用可能である。すなわち、バイオマス組成物は、接着剤として、複数の部材を接着することができる。さらにバイオマス組成物は、成形材料として、単独で板などを形成したり、他の部材の表面に表層を形成したりすることができる。
図1A~図1Cに本実施形態に係る木質複合板の製造方法の一例を示す。
以上説明したように、第1の態様に係る木質複合板(1)の製造方法は、ヤシの粉砕物と多価カルボン酸とを含有するバイオマス組成物(2)を木質板(3)の表面(30)に供給した後に熱圧成形する。
まずヤシ(アブラヤシ)の幹を粉砕して圧搾することにより、残渣と搾汁とに分けた。次に残渣を乾燥させて1次粉砕物を得た後、1次粉砕物を更に粉砕して2次粉砕物を得た。そして、この2次粉砕物をふるいにかけた。ふるいの公称目開きは、JIS Z8801-1規格で500μmである。ふるいを通過した第1残渣と、ふるいを通過しなかった第2残渣とに分けた。第1残渣を、バイオマス組成物の製造に用いるヤシ粉砕物(ヤシ柔細胞)とした。搾汁(固形分約10質量%)は、中間生成物である搾汁合成品の製造に使用した。すなわち、まず、搾汁中に含まれる糖類100質量部に対してクエン酸を25質量部添加して、105℃で加熱することにより固形物を得た。次にこの固形物を粉砕して粉体とすることにより搾汁合成品を得た。
厚さ12mmの国産針葉樹合板をそのまま使用した。
[成形性]
成形性の評価は、木質板と表層との剥離の有無を確認することにより行った。
外観の評価は、木の節に起因する抜け、及び、木目に起因する凹凸などの欠点の有無を目視で確認することにより行った。
耐水性を評価するため、JIS A 5908に準拠して吸水厚さ膨張率試験を行った。
強度を評価するため、JIS A 5908に準拠して剥離強さ試験を行った。
表面硬度を評価するため、JIS K 5600-5-3に準拠してデュポン式試験を行った。先端が丸い500gのおもりを、その先端を下にして、30cmの高さから実施例1~3の木質複合板の表層の上に落とした。おもりの先端径は約1.27cmである。比較例1の場合は合板の上にそのまま落とした。

- ヤシの粉砕物と、多価カルボン酸と、ヤシの搾汁及び多価カルボン酸の中間生成物と、を含有するバイオマス組成物を木質板の表面に供給した後に熱圧成形する、
木質複合板の製造方法。 - 前記ヤシの粉砕物は、柔細胞を含む、
請求項1に記載の木質複合板の製造方法。 - 前記バイオマス組成物は、硫酸アンモニウム及び塩化アンモニウムの少なくともいずれかを更に含有する、
請求項1又は2に記載の木質複合板の製造方法。 - 前記木質板は、合板又はパーティクルボードである、
請求項1~3のいずれか1項に記載の木質複合板の製造方法。
