Description
(a)偏光フィルム(偏光子)の製造
厚さ40μmのポリビニルアルコールフィルムをガイドロールを用いて動かしながら、ヨウ素とヨウ化カリウムの染色液に浸漬して染色した後、約3~5倍延伸処理した。次に、前記フィルムをホウ酸とヨウ化カリウムとの組み合わせで投入して架橋処理をし、80℃で約5~8分間乾燥して、偏光フィルムを得た。
純水にアセトアセチル基を含有するポリビニルアルコール(PVA、日本合成社のZ-200)(平均重合度2000、ケン化度94%)を溶かして3.8%のポリビニルアルコール水溶液を製造した。
前記製造した接着剤を用いて、ポリビニルアルコール系偏光フィルムの両面に保護フィルムとして厚さ40μmのケン化処理されたトリアセチルセルロース(TAC)フィルムを接着させてラミネートした後、乾燥して、偏光板を製造した。
実施例1の接着剤組成物中、ポリビニルアルコール100重量部に対して、パラトルエンスルホン酸を4重量部用いることを除けば、実施例1と同様の方法で偏光板を製造した。
実施例1の接着剤組成物中、パラトルエンスルホン酸の代わりに1Mの酢酸(Sigma aldrich購入)を10重量部用いることを除けば、実施例1と同様の方法で偏光板を製造した。
実施例1の接着剤組成物中、シラン系添加剤を添加しないことを除けば、実施例1と同様の方法で偏光板を製造した。
実施例1の接着剤組成物中、パラトルエンスルホン酸を、ポリビニルアルコール100重量部に対して2重量部用いることを除けば、実施例1と同様の方法で偏光板を製造した。
実施例1の接着剤組成物中、パラトルエンスルホン酸を添加しないことを除けば、実施例1と同様の方法で偏光板を製造した。
実施例1の接着剤組成物中、パラトルエンスルホン酸およびシラン系添加剤を添加しないことを除けば、実施例1と同様の方法で偏光板を製造した。
実施例1の接着剤組成物中、メラミン架橋剤およびパラトルエンスルホン酸およびシラン添加剤を添加しないことを除けば、実施例1と同様の方法で偏光板を製造した。
1)保存安定性-可溶時間(pot life)評価
接着剤を調製後に10分間撹拌し、接着剤50mLを100mLのバイアルに入れて、ゲル(gel)化するのにかかる時間を測定した。ゲル化の確認は、接着剤の入っているバイアルを振盪した時、それ以上接着剤が動かない状態になるのを肉眼で確認する方法で評価した。接着剤は可溶時間(Pot life)が長いほど好ましく、工程に適用するためには、最小12時間(hr)以上、より好ましくは3日(day)以上必要である。
実施例1、2、および比較例1~6で得られた偏光板を50×80mm2の大きさに切った後、アクリレート系の粘着剤を偏光板のトリアセチルセルロース(TAC)フィルムの片面に塗布した後、ガラスに積層した。ガラスに積層された偏光板を耐水性(25℃/100%)の恒温槽に72時間放置した時の、剥離およびPVAの溶解度の程度を測定した。剥離および溶解の程度は小さいほど好ましい。
Claims (14)
- ポリビニルアルコール系樹脂;メラミン系架橋剤;酸触媒;およびシラン系添加剤を含む接着剤組成物において、
前記メラミン系架橋剤と酸触媒との重量比は、5:1~1:1であり、
前記酸触媒は、スルホン酸基を含むものであり、
前記シラン系添加剤は、エポキシ基を含むシランアルコキシド系化合物である、接着剤組成物。 - 前記R1~R6は、アルコキシ基で置換されたアルキル基である、請求項2に記載の接着剤組成物。
- 前記R1~R6のうちの少なくとも1つは、水素である、請求項2に記載の接着剤組成物。
- 前記酸触媒は、硝酸、塩酸、硫酸、リン酸、乳酸、酢酸、およびギ酸からなる群より選択される1つ以上をさらに含むものである、請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の接着剤組成物。
- 前記酸触媒は、パラトルエンスルホン酸である、請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の接着剤組成物。
- 前記ポリビニルアルコール系樹脂100重量部に対して、
前記メラミン系架橋剤は5~100重量部、
前記酸触媒は1~20重量部、および
前記シラン系添加剤は10~100重量部を含むものである、請求項1~6のいずれか一項に記載の接着剤組成物。 - 前記接着剤組成物は、pHが2~6である、請求項1~7のいずれか一項に記載の接着剤組成物。
- 前記接着剤組成物は、粘度が5cp~40cpである、請求項1~8のいずれか一項に記載の接着剤組成物。
- 保護フィルムと、前記保護フィルムの一面に請求項1~9のいずれか1項に記載の接着剤組成物を含む接着剤層とが備えられた保護フィルム。
- 前記保護フィルムは、トリアセチルセルロースフィルム、COP(シクロオレフィンポリマー)フィルム、またはアクリル系フィルムである、請求項10に記載の保護フィルム。
- 偏光子と、
前記偏光子の少なくとも一面に備えられ、請求項1~9のいずれか1項に記載の接着剤組成物を含む接着剤層と、
前記接着剤層上の少なくとも一面に備えられた保護フィルムとを含む偏光板。 - 前記接着剤層の厚さは、0超過20μm以下である、請求項12に記載の偏光板。
- 表示パネルと、
前記表示パネルの一面または両面に備えられた請求項12または13に記載の偏光板とを含む画像表示装置。
