電気的ジョイントの周囲に、機械的な保護囲いまたはシール材料がないサンプルを準備した。サンプルは、ガラスの透明ペインと、実質的に銀からなる導電体とを有する。電気的ジョイントは、導電体上に形成される。サンプルは、38℃で96時間、5%の塩濃度の水に暴露される。暴露の後に、導電体は、ガラスから幾分剥離していることが観測された。導電体には、剥離サイトの近傍に腐食が認められた。
電気的ジョイントの周囲に、機械的な保護囲いまたはシール材料がないサンプルを準備した。サンプルは、ガラスの透明ペインと、実質的に銀からなる導電体とを有する。電気的ジョイントは、導電体上に形成される。サンプルは、50℃で720時間、水に暴露される。暴露の後に、顕著な剥離が認められ、導電体がガラスから剥離していることが観測された。導電体には、剥離サイトの近傍に腐食が認められた。
電気的ジョイントの周囲に機械的な保護囲いを有する窓組立体を準備した。囲いの内部容積内には、シール材料は設置していない。窓組立体は、ガラスの透明ペインと、実質的に銀からなる導電体とを有する。電気的ジョイントは、導電体上に形成される。窓組立体は、12から18ヶ月の間、フィールド条件に暴露される。暴露の後に、導電体と電気的ジョイントとの間の接触領域のみに、導電体の腐食が観測された。腐食は、接触領域の30%超を占めていた。
電気的ジョイントの周囲に、機械的な保護囲いを有するサンプルを準備した。機械的な保護囲いの内部容積の一部に、シール材料を充填した。シール材料は、液体の容積内への侵入を抑制する。サンプルは、ガラスの透明ペインと、実質的に銀からなる導電体とを有する。電気的ジョイントは、導電体上に形成される。サンプルは、1200時間、5%の塩濃度の水に暴露される。暴露の後に、導電体の剥離は観測されなかった。また、電気的ジョイントの周囲に、腐食は観測されなかった。

Claims (10)
- 電気的接続素子と透明ペインの第1の表面上に設置された導電体との間に形成された電気的ジョイントを環境的にシールする方法であって、
前記透明ペインに機械的な保護囲いを接着し、間に内部容積を定めるステップであって、前記電気的ジョイントは、前記保護囲いから離間して、前記内部容積内に配置され、前記保護囲いは、前記透明ペインの前記第1の表面を覆い、前記透明ペインの前記第1の表面とは反対の第2の表面を覆わないように設置され、前記保護囲いは、複数の壁を有し、該複数の壁は、下方に延伸し、接着剤を介して前記透明ペインと当接される、ステップと、
前記内部容積の少なくとも一部に、シール材料を充填するステップであって、前記シール材料は、前記内部容積への液体の侵入を抑制し、前記電気的ジョイントの周囲に流体環境バリアを提供する、ステップと、
を有し、
前記透明ペインに前記保護囲いを接着するステップは、前記保護囲いの少なくとも一部に前記シール材料を充填するステップの前に生じる、方法。 - 前記充填するステップは、前記保護囲いを貫通して延在する充填ポートを介して、前記シール材料を前記内部容積に注入するステップを有し、
さらに、前記充填ポート内における前記シール材料の存在を確認するステップにより、前記充填するステップが実施されたことを判断するステップ、
を有する、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記シール材料は、充填の後、前記電気的ジョイントを被覆し、
前記シール材料は、充填の後、前記保護囲いの少なくとも一つの壁と接触する、請求項1または2に記載の方法。 - 前記透明ペインは、さらに、該透明ペインに設置されたセラミックコーティングを有し、
前記保護囲いは、前記セラミックコーティングに接着される、請求項1乃至3のいずれか一つに記載の方法。 - 前記導電体は、実質的に銀で構成され、および/または
前記シール材料は、電気絶縁材料である、請求項1乃至4のいずれか一つに記載の方法。 - 前記内部容積は、第2の電気的接続素子を含み、
該第2の電気的接続素子は、前記内部容積の外部に延伸する第2のワイヤに取り付けられ、
前記シール材料は、充填の後、前記第2の電気的接続素子と前記透明ペインに設置された第2の導電体との間の、第2の電気的ジョイントを被覆する、請求項1乃至5のいずれか一つに記載の方法。 - 前記保護囲いは、構造結合テープまたは粘着剤を用いて、前記透明ペインに接着される、請求項1乃至6のいずれか一つに記載の方法。
- 窓組立体であって、
ガラスを有する透明ペインと、
該透明ペインの第1の表面に設置された導電体と、
前記導電体にエネルギーを供給する電気接続組立体であって、該電気接続組立体から延伸する配線ハーネスを有する電気接続組立体と、
前記電気接続組立体と前記導電体の間の電気的ジョイントと、
前記透明ペインに接着され、間に内部容積を定める機械的な保護囲いであって、前記電気的ジョイントは、前記保護囲いから離間され、前記内部容積内に配置され、前記保護囲いは、前記配線ハーネスが貫通して延伸する開口を定める、保護囲いと、
前記内部容積内に設置され、前記電気的ジョイントの周囲に流体バリアを提供するシール材料と、
を有し、
前記保護囲いは、複数の壁を有し、該複数の壁は、下方に延伸し、接着剤を介して前記透明ペインと当接され、前記保護囲いは、前記透明ペインの前記第1の表面を覆い、前記透明ペインの前記第1の表面とは反対の第2の表面を覆わないように設置され、
前記シール材料は、前記電気的ジョイントを被覆し、
前記シール材料は、前記保護囲いの少なくとも一つの壁と接触し、前記内部容積への液体の侵入を抑制する、窓組立体。 - 前記保護囲いは、さらに、前記シール材料を受容するように構成された、少なくとも一つの充填ポートを有し、
前記開口は、前記シール材料が前記少なくとも一つの充填ポートを介して受容された際に、前記内部容積から空気が排出できるように構成され、
前記シール材料は、前記開口および前記少なくとも一つの充填ポートを占めるように構成され、これにより、前記内部容積への水分の侵入が抑制される、請求項8に記載の窓組立体。 - ガラスペインに設置された電気的ジョイントを環境的にシールする囲いであって、
前記ガラスペインは、相互に対向する第1の表面および第2の表面を有し、当該囲いは、前記ガラスペインの前記第1の表面を覆い、前記第2の表面を覆わないように設置され、

上部部材と、
前記上部部材から延伸し、開放孔を定める複数の壁と、
前記開放孔内のシール材料と、

前記複数の壁の各々は、底部に、前記ガラスペインの前記第1の表面と対向する表面を有し、
該表面は、接着剤を介して前記ガラスペインと接着するように構成され、前記複数の壁の少なくとも一つは、貫通する開口を定め、前記開口は、該開口を貫通する配線ハーネスを受容するように構成され、
前記シール材料は、前記電気的ジョイントの周囲に流体バリアを提供するように構成される、囲い。
