Description
また、特許文献2記載の手摺りでは材質上、強度が不足し、車道の間や歩道と車道との間を仕切ったり公園や河川の境界に設ける防護柵には使用し難い。
これにより、金属製の半パイプによって発光横パイプの強度を確保でき、車道の間や歩道と車道との間を仕切ったり公園や河川の境界に設ける防護柵に十分に採用できる。特に、発光横パイプに断面円形を採用すると、強度を更に向上できる。
これにより、外部電源を使用することなく、横パイプを明るく光らせることができ、歩行者を案内し、車両の運転手や歩行者の注意を喚起して通行の安全を確保できる。

Claims (2)
- 隣接する垂直支柱の間に複数の横パイプを上下に間隔をあけて掛け渡してなる防護柵において、
上記複数のうちの少なくとも1つの横パイプ(12)は発光する機能を備え、該発光横パイプ(12)は断面円形の上半部が開放された金属製の半パイプ(12B)の上側開口を断面円形の下半部が開放された透明又は半透明なポリカーボネート樹脂製半パイプの光透過性のカバー(12A)で封鎖接着した水密構造をなし、該発光横パイプ(12)の両端部は垂直支柱(11)のブラケット(11A)に取付け可能となっており、上記発光横パイプ(12)の光透過性カバー(12A)の下側にはソーラパネル(21)が配置されているとともに、上記発光横パイプ(12)内にはコントローラ(22)、蓄電池(23)及び出力回路(24)が内蔵されており、上記発光横パイプ(12)の金属製の半パイプ(12B)は外面に開口が斜め下方向を指向して長手方向に伸びる嵌込み凹溝を備え、該嵌込み凹溝には発光した光が斜め下方を指向するようにLED発光モジュール(25)が嵌め込まれ、
昼間には上記コントローラ(22)が上記ソーラパネル(21)の発電電力を上記蓄電池(23)に蓄電する一方、夜間には上記コントローラ(22)が上記蓄電池(23)の電力を上記出力回路(24)に与えて上記LED発光モジュール(25)を発光させ、上 記発光横パイプ(12)の斜め下方を照らすようになっていることを特徴とする発光防護柵。 - 上記光透過性横パイプ(12)の金属製の半パイプ(12B)はアルミ合金製の半パイプである請求項1記載の発光防護柵。
