Claims (4)
- 複数の電池セルを備え、電池パックのパックヒューズ部に直列に接続される電池モジュールであって、
各々の前記電池セルの内部の電流経路に配置されて該電流経路に所定の電流値以上の電流が流れたときに該電流経路を遮断するセル遮断部と、前記複数の電池セルに接続された一対のモジュール端子と、該一対のモジュール端子および前記複数の電池セルに直列に接続されたモジュールヒューズ部と、を備え、
前記電池セルは、電池容器と、該電池容器に収容された蓄電要素と、前記電池容器の外側に配置された一対のセル端子と、該一対のセル端子を前記蓄電要素に電気的に接続する接続端子とを備え、
前記モジュールヒューズ部は、前記複数の電池セルのセル端子に接続されたバスバーに設けられ、
前記パックヒューズ部が溶断する電流値よりも、前記モジュールヒューズ部が溶断する電流値が大きく、かつ、前記モジュールヒューズ部が溶断する電流値よりも、前記セル遮断部が前記電流経路を遮断する電流値が大きく、かつ、前記セル遮断部が前記電流経路を遮断する電流値と前記パックヒューズ部が溶断する電流値との平均値よりも、前記モジュールヒューズ部が溶断する電流値が大きくなるように設けられていることを特徴とする電池モジュール。 - 前記セル遮断部は、前記セル端子と前記接続端子との間に設けられ、前記電池容器の内圧上昇によって前記セル端子と前記接続端子との間の前記電流経路を遮断する電流遮断弁であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電池モジュール。
- 複数の中間バスバーと一対の端部バスバーとを備え、
複数の前記中間バスバーは、複数の前記電池セルの積層方向に隣り合う二つの電池セルのうち、一方の前記電池セルの正極のセル端子と、他方の前記電池セルの負極のセル端子とに接続され、前記電池モジュールのすべての前記電池セルを直列に接続し、
複数の前記中間バスバーによって接続された複数の前記電池セルの前記積層方向の両端に配置された二つの前記電池セルのうち、一方の前記電池セルの正極のセル端子と、他方の前記電池セルの負極のセル端子とに接続され、
前記モジュールヒューズ部は、前記端部バスバーに設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電池モジュール。 - 前記端部バスバーは、屈曲された角部に長孔を有し、該長孔の両端に前記モジュールヒューズ部が設けられていることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の電池モジュール。
