Claims (9)
- 充放電に応じた化学反応が行われる反応領域を含む発電要素と、
前記発電要素を収容し、導電性を有する電池ケースと、
前記電池ケースに収容され、前記発電要素と電気的に接続される電流経路を遮断する電流遮断機構と、を有し、
前記電池ケースが、前記電池ケースの強度を低下させる形状に形成された脆弱部を有するとともに、前記脆弱部に対応した前記電池ケースの外面が、前記電池ケースよりも剛性の低い絶縁体で覆われており、
前記脆弱部は、前記発電要素と電気的に接続される補助端子による前記電池ケースの貫通を許容するとともに、前記電池ケースを貫通した前記補助端子を、前記反応領域を除いた前記電池ケース内の電流経路であって、前記電流遮断機構よりも前記反応領域側に位置する電流経路に接触させる位置に設けられていることを特徴とする二次電池。 - 前記電池ケースの外面に設けられ、前記発電要素と電気的に接続される外部電極端子を有し、
前記絶縁体は、前記電池ケースおよび前記外部電極端子の間に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。 - 前記電池ケースに収容され、前記発電要素および前記外部電極端子を電気的に接続するための内部電極端子を有しており、
前記脆弱部は、前記電池ケースを貫通した前記補助端子を前記内部電極端子に接触させる位置に設けられていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の二次電池。 - 前記脆弱部は、前記絶縁体と接触する前記電池ケースの外面に設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれか1つに記載の二次電池。
- 前記脆弱部は、前記電池ケースの角部に設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれか1つに記載の二次電池。
- 前記絶縁体は、前記電池ケースの前記脆弱部と重なり合う位置において、前記絶縁体の強度を低下させる形状に形成された脆弱部を有することを特徴とする請求項1から5のいずれか1つに記載の二次電池。
- 前記絶縁体は、前記電池ケースと接触する面とは反対側の面において、前記脆弱部を有することを特徴とする請求項6に記載の二次電池。
- 前記絶縁体の前記脆弱部の幅は、前記電池ケースの前記脆弱部の幅よりも狭いことを特徴とする請求項6又は7に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電池ケースは、密閉状態で前記発電要素を収容しており、
前記電流遮断機構は、前記電池ケースの内圧が上昇することに応じて変形し、前記電流経路を遮断する弁を有することを特徴とする請求項1から8のいずれか1つに記載の二次電池。
