Claims (2)
- 複数の単位電池を並列に接続して構成した組電池を、複数個直列に接続して構成した二次電池に用いられる保護回路であって、
前記単位電池それぞれに直列に接続したヒューズと、
該ヒューズに並列に、前記単位電池陽極側がアノード、反対側がカソードとなるように接続したダイオードと、を有し、
前記二次電池を構成する前記組電池の一つにおいて、当該組電池を構成する単位電池のうちの一つに内部短絡が発生して他の並列に接続した単位電池から電流が流入し、当該組電池における全てのヒューズが溶断した場合にあっても、当該ヒューズの電極間電圧を当該ヒューズと並列に接続されたダイオードの順方向電圧にクランプすることによって、当該ヒューズの溶断後の電極間続流を防ぎ、内部短絡した単位電池を回路系から切り離すとともに正常な他の単位電池による電流供給を可能にしたものであることを特徴とする二次電池の保護回路。 - 前記二次電池は、負荷との間に直列にメインヒューズが設けられたものであり、前記単位電池に直列に接続したヒューズは、前記メインヒューズよりも遅く溶断する合成溶断特性を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池の保護回路。
