Description
本出願は、2017年1月12日付けの韓国特許出願第2017‐0005599号および2018年1月12日付けの韓国特許出願第2018‐0004665号に基づく優先権の利益を主張し、該当韓国特許出願の文献に開示された全ての内容は、本明細書の一部として組み込まれる。
R1〜R3は、それぞれ独立して、フッ素で置換されているかまたは置換されていない炭素数1〜4のアルキレン基であり、
R4およびR5は、それぞれ独立して、脂肪族炭化水素基または芳香族炭化水素基であり、
R6およびR7は、それぞれ独立して、炭素数1〜10のアルキル基または
R10は脂肪族炭化水素基または芳香族炭化水素基であり、
R11は炭素数1〜3のアルキレン基であり、
R12は水素または炭素数1〜2のアルキル基であり、
nは1〜70の何れか1つの整数であり、
mは1〜3の何れか1つの整数である。

<リチウム二次電池の製造>
実施例1
(ゲルポリマー電解質用組成物の製造)
1MのLiPF6が溶解された非水系有機溶媒(エチレンカーボネート(EC):エチルメチルカーボネート(EMC)=3:7体積比)94.8gに、前記化学式1a‐1の化合物(n=10、重量平均分子量(Mw):3,000g/mol)5gおよび重合開始剤としてジメチル2,2´‐アゾビス(2‐メチルプロピオネート)(CAS No.2589‐57‐3)0.2gを添加することで、ゲルポリマー電解質用組成物を製造した。
正極活物質として(LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2;NCM)94重量%、導電材としてカーボンブラック(carbon black)3重量%、バインダーとしてポリビニリデンフルオライド(PVDF)3重量%を、溶媒のN‐メチル‐2‐ピロリドン(NMP)に添加することで、正極活物質スラリー(固形分含量50%)を製造した。厚さ20μm程度の正極集電体であるアルミニウム(Al)薄膜に前記正極活物質スラリーを塗布し、乾燥して正極を製造した後、ロールプレス(roll press)を行って正極を製造した。
ゲルポリマー電解質用組成物の製造時に、非水系有機溶媒89.8gに前記化学式1a‐1の化合物10gおよび重合開始剤0.2gを添加したことを除き、前記実施例1と同様の方法により、ゲルポリマー電解質用組成物、およびそれを用いたゲルポリマー電解質を含む二次電池を製造した。
ゲルポリマー電解質用組成物の製造時に、非水系有機溶媒98.98gに前記化学式1a‐1の化合物1gおよび重合開始剤0.02gを添加したことを除き、前記実施例1と同様の方法により、ゲルポリマー電解質用組成物、およびそれを用いたゲルポリマー電解質を含む二次電池を製造した。
ゲルポリマー電解質用組成物の製造時に、非水系有機溶媒94.8gに前記化学式1a‐1の化合物(重量平均分子量(Mw):1,000g/mol)5gおよび重合開始剤0.2gを添加したことを除き、前記実施例1と同様の方法により、ゲルポリマー電解質用組成物、およびそれを用いたゲルポリマー電解質を含む二次電池を製造した。
ゲルポリマー電解質用組成物の製造時に、非水系有機溶媒78gに前記化学式1a‐1の化合物20gおよび重合開始剤2gを添加したことを除き、前記実施例1と同様の方法により、ゲルポリマー電解質用組成物、およびそれを用いたゲルポリマー電解質を含む二次電池を製造した。
ゲルポリマー電解質用組成物の製造時に、非水系有機溶媒94.8gに前記化学式1a‐1の化合物(重量平均分子量(Mw):10,000g/mol)5gを添加したことを除き、前記実施例1と同様の方法により、ゲルポリマー電解質用組成物、およびそれを用いたゲルポリマー電解質を含む二次電池を製造した。
ゲルポリマー電解質用組成物の製造時に、非水系有機溶媒99.68gに前記化学式1a‐1の化合物(n=10、重量平均分子量(Mw):3,000g/mol)0.3gおよび重合開始剤0.02gを添加したことを除き、前記実施例1と同様の方法により、ゲルポリマー電解質用組成物、およびそれを用いたゲルポリマー電解質を含む二次電池を製造した。
ゲルポリマー電解質用組成物の製造時に、非水系有機溶媒70gに前記化学式1a‐1の化合物(n=10、重量平均分子量(Mw):3,000g/mol)25gおよび重合開始剤5gを添加したことを除き、前記実施例1と同様の方法により、ゲルポリマー電解質用組成物、およびそれを用いたゲルポリマー電解質を含む二次電池を製造した。
ゲルポリマー電解質用組成物の製造時に、非水系有機溶媒94.8gに前記化学式1a‐1の化合物(n=10、重量平均分子量(Mw):500g/mol)5gおよび重合開始剤0.2gを添加したことを除き、前記実施例1と同様の方法により、ゲルポリマー電解質用組成物、およびそれを用いたゲルポリマー電解質を含む二次電池を製造した。
ゲルポリマー電解質用組成物の製造時に、非水系有機溶媒94.8gに前記化学式1a‐1の化合物(n=10、重量平均分子量(Mw):20,000g/mol)5gおよび重合開始剤0.2gを添加したことを除き、前記実施例1と同様の方法により、ゲルポリマー電解質用組成物、およびそれを用いたゲルポリマー電解質を含む二次電池を製造した。
(非水電解液の製造)
1MのLiPF6を非水系有機溶媒(エチレンカーボネート(EC):エチルメチルカーボネート(EMC)=3:7体積比)に溶解して非水電解液を製造した。
正極活物質として(LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2;NCM)94重量%、導電材としてカーボンブラック(carbon black)3重量%、バインダーとしてポリビニリデンフルオライド(PVDF)3重量%を、溶媒のN‐メチル‐2‐ピロリドン(NMP)に添加することで、正極活物質スラリー(固形分含量50%)を製造した。厚さ20μm程度の正極集電体であるアルミニウム(Al)薄膜に前記正極活物質スラリーを塗布し、乾燥して正極を製造した後、ロールプレス(roll press)を行って正極を製造した。
(ゲルポリマー電解質用組成物の製造)
1MのLiPF6が溶解された非水系有機溶媒(エチレンカーボネート(EC):エチルメチルカーボネート(EMC)=3:7体積比)95gに、下記化学式3で表されるETPTA(ethoxylated tri‐methylolpropane triacrylate)オリゴマー5gおよび重合開始剤としてジメチル2,2´‐アゾビス(2‐メチルプロピオネート)(CAS No.2589‐57‐3)0.2gを添加することで、ゲルポリマー電解質用組成物を製造した。
前記製造されたゲルポリマー電解質用組成物を使用したことを除き、前記実施例1と同様の方法により、ゲルポリマー電解質を含むリチウム二次電池を製造した。
実験例1:高温安定性の評価(1)
実施例1および2のゲルポリマー電解質を含む二次電池と、比較例1の非水電解液を含む二次電池、および比較例2のゲルポリマー電解質を含む二次電池をそれぞれSOC100%状態で高温貯蔵(60℃)した後、厚さ増加率(%)を測定した。その結果を図1に示した。
実施例3〜10で製造したリチウム二次電池を0.1C rateで3時間充電した。次に、脱ガス(degas)/再シール(reseal)し、室温で0.2Cで4.15Vまで定電流/定電圧条件で充電し、0.2Cで3.0Vまで定電流条件で放電することで、初期充放電を行った。初期充放電の後、それぞれ4.15Vに充電し、60℃で6週間貯蔵(SOC(state of charge) 100%)しながら、0週目に対する6週目のセルの容量維持率(%)および厚さ変化率(swelling)を測定した。

- リチウム塩と、
非水系有機溶媒と、
下記化学式1で表されるオリゴマーと、
重合開始剤と、を含む、ゲルポリマー電解質用組成物。
R1〜R3は、それぞれ独立して、フッ素で置換されているかまたは置換されていない炭素数1〜4のアルキレン基であり、
R4およびR5は、それぞれ独立して、脂肪族炭化水素基または芳香族炭化水素基であり、
R6およびR7は、それぞれ独立して、
この際、R10は脂肪族炭化水素基または芳香族炭化水素基であり、
R11は炭素数1〜3のアルキレン基であり、
R12は水素または炭素数1〜2のアルキル基であり、
nは1〜70の何れか1つの整数であり、
mは1〜3の何れか1つの整数である。) - 前記化学式1で表されるオリゴマーにおいて、
前記脂肪族炭化水素基は、置換されているかまたは置換されていない炭素数4〜20のシクロアルキレン基;イソシアネート基(NCO)を含有する置換されているかまたは置換されていない炭素数4〜20のシクロアルキレン基;置換されているかまたは置換されていない炭素数4〜20のシクロアルケニレン基;および置換されているかまたは置換されていない炭素数2〜20のヘテロシクロアルキレン基からなる群から選択される少なくとも1つ以上の脂環族炭化水素基、または置換されているかまたは置換されていない炭素数1〜20のアルキレン基;イソシアネート基(NCO)を含有する置換されているかまたは置換されていない炭素数1〜20のアルキレン基;置換されているかまたは置換されていない炭素数1〜20のアルコキシレン基;置換されているかまたは置換されていない炭素数2〜20のアルケニレン基;および置換されているかまたは置換されていない炭素数2〜20のアルキニレン基からなる群から選択される少なくとも1つ以上の直鎖状炭化水素基であり、
前記芳香族炭化水素基は、置換されているかまたは置換されていない炭素数6〜20のアリーレン基;または置換されているかまたは置換されていない炭素数2〜20のヘテロアリーレン基である、請求項1に記載のゲルポリマー電解質用組成物。 - 前記化学式1で表されるオリゴマーは、下記化学式1aで表されるオリゴマーを含む、請求項1に記載のゲルポリマー電解質用組成物。

- 前記化学式1で表されるオリゴマーの重量平均分子量(MW)が1,000g/mol〜10,000g/molである、請求項1に記載のゲルポリマー電解質用組成物。
- 前記化学式1で表されるオリゴマーの重量平均分子量(MW)が3,000g/mol〜8,000g/molである、請求項7に記載のゲルポリマー電解質用組成物。
- 前記化学式1で表されるオリゴマーの重量平均分子量(MW)が3,000g/mol〜5,000g/molである、請求項8に記載のゲルポリマー電解質用組成物。
- 請求項1に記載のゲルポリマー電解質用組成物を非活性雰囲気下で電池に注液した後、重合させることで形成されたゲルポリマー電解質。
- 負極と、正極と、前記負極と正極との間に介在されたセパレータと、
