Claims (16)
- 組織辺縁を定める体開口部に通して組織検体を取り出すシステムであって、前記システムは、
軟質の耐切断性材料で作られたバンドを有するガードを含み、前記バンドは、頂端部及び底端部並びに第1の端部及び第2の端部によって互いに連結された内面及び外面を有し、前記バンドは、長手方向軸線を備えた中央ルーメンを画定するよう構成され、前記中央ルーメンは、前記長手方向軸線に垂直なルーメン直径を有し、前記バンドの前記外面は、前記長手方向軸線に沿って前記頂端部から前記底端部まで設けられると共に前記第1の端部から前記第2の端部まで前記ガード周りに円周方向に延び湾曲した陥凹を有し、
前記バンドの前記外面の少なくとも一部分は、前記バンドの一部分の前記内面が前記バンドの前記外面の前記湾曲した陥凹内に嵌め込まれるよう前記バンドの前記内面の少なくとも一部分とオーバーラップすると共に該一部分に向いており、
前記ガードは、前記長手方向軸線に沿う第1の長さを有する圧縮形態と前記長手方向軸線に沿う第2の長さを有する拡張形態との間で動くことができ、前記第2の長さは、前記第1の長さよりも長く、前記バンドは、前記圧縮形態にあるときに前記外面の前記陥凹内に嵌め込まれ、前記バンドは、前記拡張形態にあるときに前記陥凹から離脱され、
前記ガードは、前記拡張形態に向かうバイアスを有するよう形成され、前記ガードは、前記バンドを前記陥凹内に嵌め込むことが前記バンドを前記圧縮形態に保持するよう構成されている、システム。 - 前記ガードは、休止ルーメン直径を有し、前記ガードは、前記バンドが前記休止ルーメン直径よりも大きなルーメン直径を有する大きな渦巻き形態を形成し又は前記休止ルーメン直径よりも小さなルーメン直径を有する小さな渦巻き形態を形成するよう前記バンドに対して滑動することができるよう調節可能なルーメン直径を有するよう構成されている、請求項1記載のシステム。
- 前記ガードは、前記休止ルーメン直径に向かうバイアスを有するよう形成されている、請求項2記載のシステム。
- 前記バンドが大きなルーメン直径又は小さなルーメン直径から解除されたときに前記休止ルーメン直径に向かってスプリングバックするよう弾性材料で作られている、請求項2記載のシステム。
- 前記ルーメン直径を固定するよう構成されたロックを更に含む、請求項1記載のシステム。
- 前記ロックは、互いにインターロックするよう構成された前記第1の端部のところの第1のノッチと前記第2の端部のところの第2のノッチを有する、請求項5記載のシステム。
- 前記ロックは、前記バンドの前記内面上に形成された内歯及び前記バンドの前記外面上に形成された外歯を有し、前記内歯と前記外歯は、互いにインターロックするよう構成されている、請求項5記載のシステム。
- 前記ロックは、前記内面又は前記外面のうちの一方から延びると共に前記バンドに形成されたノッチ又は開口部とインターロックするよう構成された突起を有する、請求項5記載のシステム。
- 前記バンドの前記外面は、前記バンドの周囲周りの形状がC字状である、請求項1記載のシステム。

前記ガードは、前記長手方向軸線に沿う第1の長さを有する圧縮形態と前記長手方向軸線に沿う第2の長さを有する拡張形態との間で動くことができ、前記第2の長さは、前記第1の長さよりも長く、前記バンドは、前記圧縮形態にあるときに前記外面の前記陥凹内に嵌め込まれ、前記バンドは、前記拡張形態にあるときに前記陥凹から離脱され、
前記ガードは、前記拡張形態に向かうバイアスを有するよう形成され、前記ガードは、前記バンドを前記陥凹内に嵌め込むことが前記バンドを前記圧縮形態に保持するよう構成されている、システム。 - 前記ガードは、前記拡張形態にあるときに螺旋状の形を有する、請求項10記載のシステム。
- 前記ガードは、前記拡張形態にあるときに螺旋状の形を有し、前記圧縮形態にあるときに渦巻き状の形を取る、請求項10記載のシステム。
- 前記第1の端部は、前記中央ルーメン内に配置され、前記第1の端部は、前記ガードを取り出すためのフィンガープルを有する、請求項1記載のシステム。
- 前記内面は、前記中央ルーメンの内部からみて同形の湾曲した凸状面を形成している、請求項1記載のシステム。
- 前記湾曲した陥凹は、前記長手方向軸線に沿ったどこかの場所又は前記頂端部と前記底端部との間のどこかの場所に変曲点が配置された放物線形状である、請求項1記載のシステム。
- 前記変曲点は、前記頂端部と前記底端部との間の中間に配置されている、請求項15記載のシステム。
