Description
シリカ粒子を使用して、シリカのコアを備えたポリスチレンラテックスの粒子を調製した。シリカ粒子は水性エタノール媒体中で、ストーバー法によって直接に合成可能である。粒子は次いで、内部に感光剤が取り込まれた3−(トリメトキシシリル)プロピルメタクリレート(MPS)でコーティングすることができる。このシリカ粒子のポリマーによるカプセル化は、ポリ(N−ビニルピロリドン)(PVP)を安定化剤とし、ポリメチン染料を感光剤として用いて、水性エタノール媒体中でスチレンを分散重合することによって生じうる。このプロセスは、使用するシリカの大きさに応じて、シリカ粒子またはシリカ粒子の一団を取り囲む、ポリメチン染料を有するポリスチレンラテックスコーティングをもたらす。幾つかの例では、より小さな粒子は、単独の粒子としてよりも、一団としてコーティングされやすいものでありうる。
金属粒子は、ポリマーの液相析出法を用いることによってカプセル化可能である。ポルフィリンを含有するポリ(メチルメタクリレート)が低沸点溶媒に溶解され、金属アルミニウムパウダーと混合されて、二相混合物が形成される。次いでこの混合物に、高沸点溶媒が添加される。低沸点溶媒を除去するために混合物は加熱され、ポルフィリン感光剤を有するポリマーがアルミニウム粒子の表面上に析出される。これによって、金属アルミニウム粒子の表面上に、感光剤を有するポリマーの沈殿が生ずる。
実施例1で記載したようなセラミックコアおよび実施例2で記載したような金属コアは、1:1の重量比で混合可能であり、感光剤が内部に取り込まれている3−(トリメトキシシリル)プロピルメタクリレート(MPS)でコーティングされた。セラミックコア材料および金属コア材料のポリマーによるカプセル化は、ポリ(N−ビニルピロリドン)(PVP)を安定化剤とし、ポリメチン染料を感光剤として用いて、水性エタノール媒体中でスチレンを分散重合することによって生じうる。このプロセスは、使用するコア材料の粒子の大きさに応じて、セラミックおよび金属粒子の組み合わせの個別の粒子、または粒子の一団を取り囲む、ポリメチン染料を有するポリスチレンラテックスコーティングをもたらす。幾つかの例では、より小さな粒子は、単独の粒子としてよりも、混合コアの一団としてコーティングされやすいものでありうる。
実施例1で記載したようなセラミックコアおよび実施例2で記載したような金属コアは、1:2の重量比で混合可能であり、ポリマーの液相析出法を用いることによってカプセル化された。ポルフィリンを含有するポリ(メチルメタクリレート)が低沸点溶媒に溶解され、金属アルミニウムパウダーおよびシリカと混合されて、多相混合物が形成される。次いでこの混合物に、高沸点溶媒が添加される。低沸点溶媒を除去するために混合物は加熱され、ポルフィリン感光剤を有するポリマーがコア粒子の表面上に析出される。これによって粒子の表面上に、感光剤を有するポリマーの沈殿が生ずる。このプロセスは、使用するコア材料の粒子の大きさに応じて、セラミックおよび金属粒子の組み合わせの個別の粒子、または粒子の一団を取り囲む、ポルフィリンでドープされたポリマーコーティングをもたらす。幾つかの例では、より小さな粒子は、単独の粒子としてよりも、混合コアの一団としてコーティングされやすいものでありうる。
Claims (15)
- 複数の粒子を含有する粒状構築材料であって、個々の粒子が粒状コアの表面に適用された感光性コーティングを有する粒状コアを含み、粒状コアが金属、セラミック、または金属とセラミックの両者を含み、そして感光性コーティングが内部に懸濁されまたは取着された感光剤であって、光エネルギーの周波数で活性化された場合に、ポリマーが軟化して隣接する粒子に付着することを可能にする感光剤を有するポリマーを含む、粒状構築材料。
- 粒状コアが金属であり、アンチモン、クロム、ニッケル、スチール、ステンレススチール、チタン、スズ、金、銀、ブロンズ、アルミニウム、銅、白金、亜鉛、鉛、これらの合金、またはこれらの組み合わせを含む、請求項1の粒状構築材料。

- 粒状コアが金属およびセラミックの両者を含む、請求項1の粒状構築材料。
- 粒状コアが10μmから約100μmの大きさである、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項記載の粒状構築材料。
- ポリマーが、ポリアセテート、ポリアミド、ポリウレタン、ポリプロピレン、ポリエチレン、ポリ塩化ビニル、ポリアセチル、ポリスチレン、ポリ(N−メチルメタクリルアミド)、ポリメチルメタクリレート、ポリオレフィン、ポリイミド、ポリスルホン、ポリフッ化ビニリデン、ポリエーテルケトン、ポリエステル、ポリスチレン、スチレン−アクリル酸コポリマー、ポリ乳酸、ポリカーボネート、N−トリメトキシシリルプロピルメタクリレート、またはこれらの組み合わせを含む、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項記載の粒状構築材料。
- 感光性コーティングが約0.1重量%から約20重量%の感光剤を含み、アルミニウムキノリン錯体、ポルフィリン、ポルフィン、インドシアニン染料、フェノキサジン誘導体、フタロシアニン染料、ナフタロシアニン、ポリメチルインドリウム染料、ポリメチン染料、グアイアズレニル染料、クロコニウム染料、ポリメチンインドリウム染料、金属錯体IR染料、シアニン染料、スクアリリウム染料、カルコゲノ−ピリロアリーリデン染料、インドリジン染料、ピリリウム染料、キノイド染料、キノン染料、アゾ染料、またはこれらの組み合わせからなる群より選択される、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項記載の粒状構築材料。
- 第二の粒状コアに適用された第二の感光性コーティングを有する第二の粒状コアを含む第二の複数の粒子をさらに含み、第二の粒状コアが金属、セラミック、または金属とセラミックの両者を含み、第二の感光性コーティングが内部に懸濁されまたは取着された第二の感光剤を有する第二のポリマーを含み、第二の粒状コア、第二のポリマー、または第二の感光剤の一つまたはより多くが、前記粒状コア、ポリマー、または感光剤のそれぞれと異なる、請求項1〜7のいずれか1項記載の粒状構築材料。
- 粒状構築材料を作成するための方法であって:
感光剤は光エネルギーの周波数で活性化された場合に、ポリマーが軟化して隣接する粒子に付着することを可能にする、0.1重量%から20重量%の感光剤をポリマーに懸濁しまたは取着することによって感光性コーティングを調製し;そして
感光性コーティングを5nmから500nmの被覆厚さで複数の粒子に適用し、ここで個々の粒子が金属、セラミック、または金属およびセラミックの組み合わせを含む粒状コアを含有する、方法。 - 感光性コーティングでコーティングする前に複数の粒子を粉砕することをさらに含む、請求項9の方法。
- 感光性コーティングの適用に際して金属およびセラミックが共通のコーティング内、別々のコーティング内、または両者となるように、複数の粒子がコーティングされた金属およびセラミックの両方の粒子を含む、請求項9または10の方法。
- 複数の粒子に適用した後に感光性コーティングを乾燥することをさらに含む、請求項9〜11のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 3次元印刷のためのシステムであって:
複数の粒子を含有する3次元印刷用の粒状構築材料と、
粒状構築材料に対して光エネルギーを放射するための光エネルギー源を含み、
個々の粒子は粒状コアの表面に適用された感光性コーティングを有する粒状コアを含み、粒状コアは金属、セラミック、または金属とセラミックの両者を含み、感光性コーティングはポリマーに懸濁または付着した感光剤を有するポリマーを含み、そして
感光剤は光エネルギーの周波数に対応するエネルギーを吸収し、それにより感光剤はポリマーを軟化させ、隣接する粒子に接合させる、システム。 - 熱源または第二の光エネルギー源をさらに含み、ポリマーの軟化により隣接する粒子同士が接合した後に隣接する粒状コア同士を融合させる、請求項13のシステム。
- 光エネルギーがUV光、可視光、IR、またはこれらの組み合わせである、請求項13または14のシステム。
