Claims (9)
- 外側表面に分離膜が成膜される分離膜用片端封止型筒状セラミックス基材であって、
筒部と、該筒部の片側の開口に固着されて該開口を封止し、該筒部に対して表面構造または細孔構造が異なる部分を有する封止部とを備え、前記封止部の表面に破断面が局周的に形成されている多孔質セラミック基材と、
ガラスフリットが溶融されている封止性のガラス層であって、前記多孔質セラミック基材の熱膨張係数に対する熱膨張係数差が2×10−6/K未満である熱膨張係数を有し、前記封止部の表面に前記破断面を覆うように直接に又は平均細孔径が前記多孔質セラミック基材よりも小さいアルミナを主成分とする多孔質アルミナセラミック層を介して間接的に形成されたガラスを主成分とする緻密層と、を、
備えていることを特徴とする分離膜用片端封止型筒状セラミックス基材。 - 前記多孔質セラミック基材が、多層構造である
ことを特徴とする請求項1の分離膜用片端封止型筒状セラミックス基材。 - 前記多孔質セラミック基材が、アルミナ、ジルコニア、ムライト、シリカ、チタニア、
窒化珪素、炭化珪素のうちのいずれか1つを主成分として形成されている
ことを特徴とする請求項1または2の分離膜用片端封止型筒状セラミックス基材。 - 前記多孔質セラミック基材の熱膨張係数と前記ガラスを主成分とする前記緻密層の熱膨張係数との差が、1×10−6/K未満である
ことを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のいずれか1の分離膜用片端封止型筒状セラミックス基材。 - 前記ガラスの組成が、SiO2を主成分とし、Al2O3、TiO2、ZrO2、ZnO、B2O3、Bi2O3、アルカリ金属、アルカリ土類金属のいずれかを含む
ことを特徴とする請求項1ないし4のいずれか1の分離膜用片端封止型筒状セラミック
ス基材。 - 押出成形機の口金の開口が貫通孔を有する外型によって閉じられた状態で、前記多孔質セラミック基材の前記筒部と前記封止部とが押出成形によって一体成形された後、前記外型が前記口金から取り外されることにより前記破断面が前記封止部の表面に局所的に形成される
ことを特徴とする請求項1ないし5のいずれか1の分離膜用片端封止型筒状セラミック
ス基材の製造方法。 - 押出成形機の口金の開口が貫通孔を有する外型によって閉じられた状態で、前記多孔質セラミック基材の前記筒部と前記封止部とが、内筒および外筒を設けた多重管の該内筒内部および該内筒と該外筒との間に、異なる性質のセラミックス成形原料を各別に供給して押出して、合流させることで一体成形されたセラミック多層構造体を得る押出成形によって一体成形された後、前記外型が前記口金から取り外されることにより前記破断面が前記封止部の表面に局所的に形成される
ことを特徴とする請求項1ないし5のいずれか1の分離膜用片端封止型筒状セラミックス基材の製造方法。 - 前記多孔質セラミック基材の前記封止部とは反対側の端部には開口が形成され、
前記開口が形成された端部の端面、および前記端面に隣接する内周面および外周面に前記ガラスを主成分とする緻密層が形成されている
ことを特徴とする請求項1ないし5のいずれか1の分離膜用片端封止型筒状セラミックス基材。 - 前記多孔質セラミック基材の封止部の反対側の端部に筒形状のセラミック緻密体が接合されている
ことを特徴とする請求項1ないし5のいずれか1の分離膜用片端封止型筒状セラミックス基材。
