Claims (4)
- 電解質膜の両側に電極が設けられてなる電解質膜・電極構造体と、前記電解質膜・電極構造体の両側に配置された金属セパレータと、一方の前記電極の外周部と他方の前記電極の外周部に挟持された状態で両方の前記電極の外周部から外方に突出するとともに前記電極の外周部を周回する樹脂枠部材と、を備え、
少なくとも一方の前記金属セパレータの一端から他端に向かって延在する複数の線状突起と、複数の前記線状突起間に形成された複数の線状流路溝とを有し、前記一端から前記他端に向かって発電面に沿って反応ガスを流す反応ガス流路が形成され、
前記反応ガス流路を囲んで反応ガスの漏れを防止するシールが設けられた発電セルにおいて、
一方の前記電極における前記電解質膜とは反対側の面には、
一方の前記電極の外周部に位置する外周面と、
前記樹脂枠部材の内端よりも内方に位置する中央面と、
前記外周面と前記中央面とを互いに連結する段差部と、が設けられ、
前記中央面は、前記外周面よりも前記電解質膜からの高さが低く、
複数の前記線状突起のうち前記反応ガス流路の流路幅方向の端部に位置する端部線状突起の突出端面は、前記中央面に接触し、
前記端部線状突起の前記突出端面は、前記中央面と前記段差部との境界上又は前記境界の内方に隣接して位置し、
各前記線状流路溝は、波状に延在し、
前記端部線状突起のうち前記線状流路溝側の側壁は、前記線状流路溝に沿って波状に延在し、
前記端部線状突起のうち前記線状流路溝とは反対側の側壁は、前記境界に沿って直線状に延在している、
ことを特徴とする発電セル。 - 請求項1記載の発電セルにおいて、
前記端部線状突起の前記突出端面は、前記端部線状突起の全長に亘って前記中央面に接触している、
ことを特徴とする発電セル。 - 請求項1又は2に記載の発電セルにおいて、
少なくとも一方の前記金属セパレータには、前記端部線状突起と前記シールとの間に、前記外周面に接触して反応ガスのバイパスを防止するバイパス止め凸状部が設けられている、
ことを特徴とする発電セル。 - 請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の発電セルにおいて、
前記シールは、少なくとも一方の前記金属セパレータに膨出成形されたビードシールである、
ことを特徴とする発電セル。
