Claims (6)
- 装置本体と、
前記装置本体に設けられる現像装置と、
前記現像装置に補給するトナーを収容する前記装置本体に対して着脱可能なトナー収容容器と、
前記トナー収容容器内のトナー量が所定量以下になったことを検知するためのトナーセンサーと、
前記トナーセンサーの検知結果に応じて前記トナー収容容器の着脱を規制または許容する制御部と、
を備え、
前記トナー収容容器には、正回転することにより前記トナーを搬送して前記現像装置に前記トナーを補給する補給スクリューと、前記補給スクリューの回転軸にギア列を介して連結される第1係合部と、が設けられており、
前記装置本体には、前記第1係合部と係合することにより前記トナー収容容器の着脱を規制する第2係合部が設けられており、
前記ギア列は、前記補給スクリューが逆回転したときのみ前記第1係合部に回転力を伝達するワンウェイギアを含み、
前記制御部は、前記トナー収容容器内のトナー量が所定量以下になった場合に、前記補給スクリューを逆回転させて前記第1係合部と前記第2係合部との係合を解除することを特徴とする画像形成装置。 - 前記第1係合部は、前記第2係合部に係合する係合位置と、前記第2係合部に係合しない非係合位置と、に選択配置され、
前記第1係合部が前記係合位置に配置されているか、前記非係合位置に配置されているかを検知する位置検知センサーをさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の画像形成装置。 - 前記位置検知センサーは、前記第2係合部に設けられていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の画像形成装置。
- 前記ギア列は、前記補給スクリューに連結される前記ワンウェイギアである第1ギアと、前記第1係合部が設けられるとともに前記トナー収容容器の側面に配置される第2ギアと、を含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の画像形成装置。
- 前記トナーセンサーは、前記現像装置内のトナー量を検知し、
前記制御部は、前記トナーセンサーの検知結果に基づいて前記トナー収容容器内のトナー量が所定量以下であるか否かを判断することを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の画像形成装置。 - 前記現像装置および前記トナー収容容器をそれぞれ複数個ずつ備えることを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の画像形成装置。
