Description
よって、本発明の目的は、電池要素を外装材で本封止した後のガスの発生を抑制できる、二次電池の製造方法を提供することにある。
本発明の一実施例におけるリチウムイオン二次電池と、比較例におけるリチウムイオン二次電池について、エージング処理後に発生したガスの量を比較した結果を以下に示す。本発明の実施例におけるリチウムイオン二次電池は、上述の方法により製造された。本実施例の二次電池は、外装材内に電解液を入れた後、外装材のエンボス部の面積の85%の領域を所定時間加圧した。一方、比較例の二次電池は、外装材内に電解液を入れた後、二次電池を加圧しなかった。実施例及び比較例ともに、複数のサンプルについて実験した。

Claims (6)
- 複数の電極シートと、互いに隣接する前記電極シートの間に配置されたセパレータシートと、を有する電池要素を、外装材で包むことと、
前記外装材内に電解液を入れることと、
前記外装材内に前記電解液を入れた後に、前記外装材の外側から前記電池要素を所定の時間加圧することと、を有し、
前記電池要素は、前記電池要素を前記外装材の全周で仮封止した状態で前記所定の時間加圧され、
前記外装材は、可撓性を有するラミネートフィルムであり、
前記電池要素を所定の時間加圧した後に、前記電池要素を仮充電することと、前記外装材の仮封止を解いて、前記外装材の内部に生じたガスを除去することと、前記電池要素を前記外装材の全周で本封止することと、をこの順にさらに有し、
前記電解液は、前記電池要素及び前記外装材が前記外装材の開いた一辺を鉛直上向きに向けて保持された状態で前記外装材の内部へ入れられ、前記外装材内に電解液を入れてから、前記外装材の内部に生じたガスを前記外装材の外部へ除去するまでの間、前記電池要素及び前記外装材の姿勢を維持する、二次電池の製造方法。 - 前記所定の時間は18時間以上の時間である、請求項1に記載の二次電池の製造方法。
- 前記電池要素は、0.64N/mm2以上の力で前記外装材の外側から加圧される、請求項1または2に記載の二次電池の製造方法。
- 前記電池要素と前記電池要素を包む前記外装材とを含む二次電池の、前記複数の電極シートが積層された方向において最も大きい厚みを有する部分の85%〜100%の面積の領域が、加圧される、請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載の二次電池の製造方法。
- 前記セパレータシートは多孔性フィルムから構成される、請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載の二次電池の製造方法。
- 前記電池要素を前記外装材で本封止した後に、前記二次電池に対してエージング処理を実施することをさらに有する、請求項1から5のいずれか1項に記載の二次電池の製造方法。
