Description
図1は、本発明の一実施形態としての充電制御装置1及びこの充電制御装置1が搭載された電動車両V(以下、単に「車両V」という)の構成を示す図である。充電制御装置1は、例えば家庭用商用交流電源である外部電源10から、車両Vに搭載される蓄電池である高圧バッテリ2への充電を制御する。
(1)供給電圧センサ205は外部電源10から高圧バッテリ2への供給電圧Vrmsを検出し、供給電圧監視部601は、充電中に通常充電時電圧VDHからの供給電圧Vrmsの低下の有無を検出又は予測し、検出結果に応じて過負荷状態フラグや充電停止要求フラグを更新する。充電電流制御部604は、供給電圧Vrmsの低下が検出又は予測されていない場合には、充電電流に対する目標値設定信号Ispを所定の定格充電電流値Imaxに設定し、駆動回路208及び充電電流調整回路207は、充電電流を目標値設定信号Ispに応じた値になるように調整する。また充電電流制御部604は、供給電圧Vrmsの低下が検出又は予測された場合には、目標値設定信号Ispを定格充電電流値Imax以下に変化させた後、この目標値設定信号Ispを、供給電圧Vrmsが通常充電時電圧VDHよりも低い負荷減判定電圧VDLに到達した時の値である制限電流値Ilimに維持する。そして駆動回路208及び充電電流調整回路207は、上記のような目標値設定信号Ispの変化に合わせて充電電流を調整する。すなわち充電制御装置1では、充電中に何等かの理由によって外部電源10が不安定になり、供給電圧Vrmsが通常充電時電圧VDHから低下した場合には、供給電圧Vrmsが通常充電時電圧VDHよりも低い負荷減判定電圧VDLで維持されるように、充電電流を定格充電電流値Imaxよりも絞る。したがって充電制御装置1によれば、外部電源10が不安定になり供給電圧Vrmsが通常充電時電圧VDHから低下した場合であっても、充電電流を、外部電源10の状態に応じた適切な大きさまで絞って充電を継続することができる。またこのように充電電流を適切な大きさまで絞ることにより、外部電源10が不安定になっても、充電の断続が頻繁に繰り返されることを回避できる。

- 外部電源による蓄電池への充電を制御する充電制御装置であって、
前記外部電源から前記蓄電池への充電電流の目標値を設定する目標値設定手段と、
前記充電電流を前記設定された目標値になるように調節する充電電流調整手段と、
前記外部電源から前記蓄電池への供給電圧を検出する供給電圧検出手段と、

前記目標値設定手段は、前記電圧監視手段により前記供給電圧の低下が検出又は予測されていない場合には、前記目標値を所定の通常時目標値に設定し、前記電圧監視手段により前記供給電圧の低下が検出又は予測された場合には、前記目標値を前記通常時目標値以下の所定の下限値まで低減させ、前記供給電圧が前記通常充電時電圧に回復したことに応じて前記供給電圧が前記通常充電時電圧よりも低い判定電圧に到達するまで前記目標値を前記下限値から漸増させた後、前記目標値を前記供給電圧が前記判定電圧に到達した時の値に維持することを特徴とする充電制御装置。 - 前記目標値設定手段は、前記電圧監視手段によって、前記供給電圧が前記判定電圧よりも低い充電停止電圧以下まで低下したことが検出された場合には、前記供給電圧が前記通常充電時電圧になるまで前記目標値を0に設定し続けた後、前記目標値を0から漸増させ、前記目標値を前記供給電圧が前記判定電圧に到達した時の値に維持することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の充電制御装置。
