Claims (6)
- (a)電線の終端が接続された相手方端子と接触可能な端子と、該端子が装着されるハウジングとを備えるコネクタであって、
(b)前記ハウジングは、前記相手方端子が挿入される端子収容凹部であって前記ハウジングの下端部に開口する端子収容凹部と、該端子収容凹部の上端を閉止する頭部とを有し、
(c)該頭部は、天板部と側板部とを含み、該側板部は、前記端子収容凹部内とハウジングの外部とを連通する水抜き孔と、該水抜き孔の周囲に形成され、前記側板部の外面から突出する防水リブとを含み、
(d)該防水リブは前記水抜き孔の周囲の半分以上を囲むように形成され、前記防水リブは、前記天板部及び側板部を延長して、前記水抜き孔の周囲の半分を囲むように形成された第1のリブを含むことを特徴とするコネクタ。 - 前記防水リブは、前記水抜き孔の全周を連続的に囲むように形成されている請求項1に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記防水リブは、前記側板部の外面からの突出量が前記第1のリブよりも小さい第2のリブを更に含む請求項1に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記天板部は概略長方形の部材であって、前記側板部は前記天板部の四方の側端から延出する部材であって、前記水抜き孔は前記頭部の四隅にそれぞれ形成されている請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記端子は、1つの共通部と、該共通部から延出する複数の連絡腕部と、各連絡腕部の先端に接続された接触部であって前記相手方端子と接触する接触部とを含む請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載のコネクタ。
- 前記相手方端子が外れることを防止する一対のリテーナであって、前記ハウジングの頭部より下方に位置する側面の少なくとも一部を覆うリテーナ本体を含む一対のリテーナを更に備え、
各リテーナ本体は、互いに対向する一対の側板部と、一方の側板部の上下方向に延在する前端縁に形成された雄突合せ部と、他方の側板部の上下方向に延在する前端縁に形成された雌突合せ部とを含み、
一対のリテーナが前記ハウジングに取付けられた状態で、一方のリテーナ本体の雄突合せ部及び雌突合せ部は、他方のリテーナ本体の雌突合せ部及び雄突合せ部と互いに凹凸嵌合する請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載のコネクタ。
