Description
図1に示すように、吸気系22を構成する吸気ポート16や吸気バルブ18には、燃料やエンジンオイル等の炭化物や酸化物であるデポジットDが堆積している。このデポジットDを洗浄して吸気系22から除去するため、ディーラーや整備工場等においては、矢印Xで示すように、定期的に燃料タンク41には給油口41aからデポジット用の洗浄液Cが注入される。これにより、燃料タンク41内の燃料Fに洗浄液Cを混ぜることができ、燃料Fと共に洗浄液Cをインジェクタ42から噴射させることができるため、デポジットDに洗浄液Cを浸透させて除去することができる。なお、洗浄液Cとしては、ポリイソブテンアミン(PIBA)、ポリエーテルアミン(PEA)、界面活性剤(アニオン、カチオン、両性、ノニオン)、ジエチルグリコール、モノブチルエーテル、ポリオキシエチレン、ノニルフェニルエーテル等の洗浄成分を含む洗浄液が用いられる。
図2(a)は通常モードおよび洗浄モードにおける吸気バルブ18の作動状況を示す説明図であり、図2(b)は通常モードおよび洗浄モードにおけるインジェクタ42の作動状況を示す説明図である。なお、図2(a)および(b)には、吸気行程から圧縮行程に移行する状況が示されている。図2(a)および(b)において、BDCはピストン12の下死点を意味し、TDCはピストン12の上死点を意味している。また、図3(a)は通常モードにおけるエンジン11の作動状況を示す説明図であり、図3(b)は洗浄モードにおけるエンジン11の作動状況を示す説明図である。なお、図3(a)および(b)には、吸気行程が終了する直前の状況が示されている。
前述した洗浄モードの実行手順をフローチャートに沿って説明する。図4は洗浄モードの実行手順の一例を示すフローチャートである。図4に示すように、ステップS10では、洗浄液フラグがONであるか否かが判定される。ここで、洗浄液フラグとは、端末機器54を用いて制御ユニット50に書き込まれるフラグであり、ディーラー等において燃料タンク41に洗浄液を注入した際に書き込まれるフラグである。ステップS10において、洗浄液フラグがONであると判定された場合、つまり燃料タンク41に洗浄液が注入されている場合には、ステップS11に進み、車速、吸気管圧力および洗浄液濃度等の検出データが制御ユニット50に読み込まれる。

Claims (3)
- 吸気系のデポジットを洗浄する洗浄モードを備え、燃焼室に燃料を噴射する直噴エンジンを制御するエンジン制御装置であって、
燃料タンクからインジェクタまでの燃料系に設けられ、燃料に含まれる洗浄成分を検出する洗浄成分センサと、
燃料に含まれる洗浄成分が閾値を上回る状態のもとで、前記燃焼室から吸気ポートに吹き返す混合気を増加させる前記洗浄モードを実行するモード制御部と、
を有し、
前記モード制御部は、燃料に含まれる洗浄成分が前記閾値を下回る場合に、前記洗浄モードの実行を禁止する、
エンジン制御装置。 - 請求項1に記載のエンジン制御装置において、
前記モード制御部は、吸気バルブの閉じタイミングを遅らせることで前記洗浄モードを実行する、
エンジン制御装置。 - 請求項1または2に記載のエンジン制御装置において、
前記モード制御部は、燃料噴射の開始タイミングを早めることで前記洗浄モードを実行する、
エンジン制御装置。
