Description
前記トレッド部のセンター領域に一対の周方向溝の相互間に位置してタイヤ周方向に連なるリブが区画され、該リブに一端が該リブ内で閉塞して他端が前記周方向溝のいずれか一方に開口する複数本の閉止溝が形成され、各閉止溝はその閉止端が踏み込み側を向くようにタイヤ軸方向に対して傾斜し、各閉止溝の踏み込み側の溝壁が少なくとも前記リブの踏面において蹴り出し側の溝壁よりもタイヤ軸方向外側へ突出し、各閉止溝の踏み込み側の溝壁の突出量Eが前記リブのタイヤ軸方向の幅Wrの5%〜15%の範囲にあり、各閉止溝の踏み込み側の溝壁と蹴り出し側の溝壁とが開口端側に向かって徐々に近接するような構造を有し、各閉止溝の踏み込み側の溝壁のタイヤ軸方向に対する角度θ1と蹴り出し側の溝壁のタイヤ軸方向に対する角度θ2との差が0°<θ1−θ2≦5°の範囲にあることを特徴とするものである。

各試験タイヤについて、雪上での速度40km/hの走行状態からABS制動を行って制動するまでの制動距離を測定した。評価結果は、計測値の逆数を用い、従来例を100とする指数にて示した。この指数値が大きいほど雪上制動性能が優れていることを意味する。

Claims (5)
- タイヤ周方向に延在して環状をなすトレッド部と、該トレッド部の両側に配置された一対のサイドウォール部と、これらサイドウォール部のタイヤ径方向内側に配置された一対のビード部とを備え、前記トレッド部を構成するトレッドゴムのJIS硬度が40〜60の範囲にあり、前記トレッド部に形成される溝及びサイプに基づくスノートラクションインデックスが180以上であり、かつ回転方向が指定された空気入りタイヤにおいて、
前記トレッド部のセンター領域に一対の周方向溝の相互間に位置してタイヤ周方向に連なるリブが区画され、該リブに一端が該リブ内で閉塞して他端が前記周方向溝のいずれか一方に開口する複数本の閉止溝が形成され、各閉止溝はその閉止端が踏み込み側を向くようにタイヤ軸方向に対して傾斜し、各閉止溝の踏み込み側の溝壁が少なくとも前記リブの踏面において蹴り出し側の溝壁よりもタイヤ軸方向外側へ突き出し、各閉止溝の踏み込み側の溝壁の突出量Eが前記リブのタイヤ軸方向の幅Wrの5%〜15%の範囲にあり、各閉止溝の踏み込み側の溝壁と蹴り出し側の溝壁とが開口端側に向かって徐々に近接するような構造を有し、各閉止溝の踏み込み側の溝壁のタイヤ軸方向に対する角度θ1と蹴り出し側の溝壁のタイヤ軸方向に対する角度θ2との差が0°<θ1−θ2≦5°の範囲にあることを特徴とする空気入りタイヤ。 - 前記閉止溝の溝深さDに対する溝幅Wの比W/Dが0.10〜0.30の範囲にあることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の空気入りタイヤ。
- 前記閉止溝の中心線のタイヤ軸方向に対する角度θが25°〜65°の範囲にあることを特徴とする請求項1〜2のいずれかに記載の空気入りタイヤ。
- 前記閉止溝がその閉止端に向かって徐々に深くなる構造を有することを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の空気入りタイヤ。
- 前記閉止溝のタイヤ軸方向の長さWgが前記リブのタイヤ軸方向の幅Wrの40%〜80%の範囲にあることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の空気入りタイヤ。
