Description
(1) 端子本体と、前記端子本体から延在された複数の端子接続部と、を有する端子金具に対して、電線の端部に接続された接続端子の一対の締結加締め片を前記端子接続部に形成された一対の被締結加締め片に加締めて接続する端子金具の接続方法であって、
前記締結加締め片によって前記被締結加締め片を挿入可能な保持空間を前記接続端子に形成する工程と、
前記一対の被締結加締め片の開放端部が前記一対の締結加締め片の開放端部と反対側を向くように前記保持空間に前記端子接続部を挿入することで前記接続端子に前記端子接続部を保持させる工程と、
前記一対の締結加締め片を押し潰して前記保持空間内の前記一対の被締結加締め片を加締める工程と、を含むことを特徴とする端子金具の接続方法。
更に、一対の締結加締め片が一対の被締結加締め片の開放端部側から外側を巻き込むように加締めることにより、圧着部の開き方向の残留応力を低下させながら接続強度を高めることができ、端子接続部への接続端子の接続信頼性が向上する。
(第1実施形態)
まず、本発明の第1実施形態に係る端子金具の接続構造及び接続方法について説明する。
これにより、端子金具10では、支持壁部16の係止片16aによって接続板部14が係止された部分が連結部20とされている。つまり、端子金具10は、複数の連結部20を有しており、これらの複数の連結部20で、端子本体11と電線接続部本体19とが互いに連結されている。
図7は、接続端子30及び端子接続部21がセットされた圧着機41の概略断面図である。図8は、端子金具10の端子接続部21に対する締結接続部32の締結加締め片32aの締結状態を示す図であって、図8の(a)は締結加締め片32aの締結前の図1の(b)におけるA−A断面図、図8の(b)は締結加締め片32aの締結過程の図1の(b)におけるA−A断面図、図8の(c)は締結加締め片32aの締結後の図1の(b)におけるA−A断面図である。
図8の(a)に示すように、まず、接続端子30と端子接続部21とを仮固定する。具体的には、接続端子30の保持空間Sへ端子接続部21を挿入する。この際、端子接続部21は、一対の係合壁22の開放端部が一対の締結加締め片32aの開放端部と反対側を向くように保持空間Sに挿入される。このように、保持空間Sへ端子接続部21を挿入すると、端子接続部21は、その両側部が保持空間Sの両側面からなる回転規制面36に当接することで、挿入方向に沿う軸線を中心とした回転が規制された状態で、接続端子30の締結接続部32に保持される。これにより、端子接続部21は、接続端子30に対して所定の姿勢に維持される。
図7に示すように、端子接続部21を仮固定した接続端子30を圧着機41のアンビル42の載置面42aに載置させる。この状態においても、端子接続部21は、保持空間Sに挿入されているので、挿入方向に沿う軸線を中心とした回転が規制され、接続端子30に対して所定の姿勢に維持される。
圧着機41を作動させて圧着を開始させ、圧着機41のクリンパ43を下降させる。すると、クリンパ43の誘い面43aによって締結接続部32が凹状部分に案内される。このときも、端子接続部21は、保持空間S内で接続端子30に対して所定の姿勢に維持される。その後、クリンパ43の押圧面43bが締結接続部32の上部(締結加締め片32aの基部)に当接し、これにより、締結加締め片32aが押し潰されて加締めが開始される。
ここで、一対の締結加締め片32aが一対の係合壁22の開放端部側から外側を巻き込むように加締めることにより、圧着部の開き方向の残留応力を低下させながら接続強度を高めることができる。即ち、係合壁22の開放端部が締結接続部32の底部側に位置することで、係合壁22の開き方向の残留応力が締結加締め片32aの基部側に作用し、締結加締め片32aの開放端側には作用し難くなる。その結果、係合壁の開放端部が締結接続部の開放端側に位置するように加締められた圧着部に比べて、本第1実施形態に係る端子金具の接続構造における圧着部は、開き方向の残留応力が低下して接続強度が高まり、端子接続部21への接続端子30の接続信頼性が向上する。
更に、一対の締結加締め片32aの開放端部32bが内側へ折り返されて互いに当接するように加締めることによって、開放端部32bが互いに当接する方向の残留応力によって圧着部の開きを抑えて接続強度を更に高めることができる。
次に、本発明の第2実施形態に係る端子金具の接続構造について説明する。
なお、端子金具の端子接続部以外は、第1実施形態と略同一構造であるので、同一符号を付して説明を省略する。
そこで、締結接続部32の保持空間Sへ端子接続部21Aを挿入する際、一対の係合壁22の開放端部が一対の締結加締め片32aの開放端部32bと同じ側を向くように端子接続部21Aは保持空間Sに挿入される。
これにより、図9の(b)に示すように、係合片22aを有する係合壁22が締結加締め片32aの内側で丸まって隙間なく収容され、締結接続部32内に端子接続部21Aが充填された状態となる。端子接続部21Aに対して締結接続部32が高い接圧で強固に締結されるとともに、端子金具10と接続端子30とが確実に導通される。
ここで、一対の締結加締め片32aの開放端部32bが内側へ折り返されて互いに当接するように加締めることによって、開放端部32bが互いに当接する方向の残留応力によって圧着部の開きを抑えて接続強度を高めることができる。
次に、本発明の第3実施形態に係る端子金具の接続構造について説明する。
なお、端子金具以外は、第1実施形態と略同一構造であるので、同一符号を付して説明を省略する。
ここで、一対の締結加締め片32aが一対の係合壁122の開放端部側から外側を巻き込むように加締めることにより、圧着部の開き方向の残留応力を低下させながら接続強度を高めることができる。即ち、係合壁122の開放端部が締結接続部32の底部側に位置することで、係合壁122の開き方向の残留応力が締結加締め片32aの基部側に作用し、締結加締め片32aの開放端側には作用し難くなる。その結果、係合壁の開放端部が締結接続部の開放端側に位置するように加締められた圧着部に比べて、本第3実施形態に係る端子金具の接続構造における圧着部は、開き方向の残留応力が低下して接続強度が高まり、端子接続部121への接続端子30の接続信頼性が向上する。
更に、一対の締結加締め片32aの開放端部32bが内側へ折り返されて互いに当接するように加締めることによって、開放端部32bが互いに当接する方向の残留応力によって圧着部の開きを抑えて接続強度を更に高めることができる。

[5] 端子本体(11,111)と、前記端子本体から延在された複数の端子接続部(21,121)と、を有する端子金具(10,110)に対して、電線(接地用電線D)の端部に接続された接続端子(30)の一対の締結加締め片(32a)を前記端子接続部に形成された一対の被締結加締め片(係合壁22,122)に加締めて接続する端子金具の接続方法であって、
前記締結加締め片によって前記被締結加締め片を挿入可能な保持空間(S)を前記接続端子に形成する工程と、
前記一対の被締結加締め片の開放端部が前記一対の締結加締め片の開放端部と反対側を向くように前記保持空間に前記端子接続部を挿入することで前記接続端子に前記端子接続部を保持させる工程と、
前記一対の締結加締め片を押し潰して前記保持空間内の前記一対の被締結加締め片を加締める工程と、

- 端子本体と、前記端子本体から延在された複数の端子接続部と、を有する端子金具に対して、電線の端部に接続された接続端子の一対の締結加締め片を前記端子接続部に形成された一対の被締結加締め片に加締めて接続する端子金具の接続方法であって、
前記締結加締め片によって前記被締結加締め片を挿入可能な保持空間を前記接続端子に形成する工程と、
前記一対の被締結加締め片の開放端部が前記一対の締結加締め片の開放端部と反対側を向くように前記保持空間に前記端子接続部を挿入することで前記接続端子に前記端子接続部を保持させる工程と、
前記一対の締結加締め片を押し潰して前記保持空間内の前記一対の被締結加締め片を加締める工程と、
を含むことを特徴とする端子金具の接続方法。
