Description
多芯ケーブル1は、図1に示すように複数(図示例では2本、一対と記す場合がある)の被覆電線2(以下、電線2と記す)と、一対の電線2の前方の端末部20を露出させるようにこれらの電線2の後方側を一括して覆う絶縁シース3(絶縁部)と、各電線2の前方の端末部20に圧着接続される複数(図示例では2つ、一対と記す場合がある)の端子4と、を備えている。以下では、多芯ケーブル1において、端子4が取り付けられた側を「前方」と記し、これとは逆の絶縁シース3が設けられた側を「後方」と記す場合がある。また、前後方向に直交する方向を左右方向と記す場合がある。
多芯ケーブル製造装置10は、図2A、図2B、図3A、図3Bに示すように、各電線2の端末部と各端子4とを圧着接続するアプリケータ11と、アプリケータ11を駆動する図示しない駆動源と、駆動源を制御する図示しない制御部と、を備えている。
続いて、多芯ケーブル1製造装置10を用いた多芯ケーブル1の製造方法について、図3A、図3B、図3Cを参照して説明する。図3A、図3B、図3Cは、多芯ケーブル1の製造工程を説明するための平面図である。詳細には、図3Aは、各端子4が端子ホルダ12に保持された状態を示す図である。図3Bは、図3Aの後の工程を説明する図であり、各電線2と各端子4とが圧着接続された状態を示す図である。図3Cは、図3Bの後の工程を説明する図であり、各端子4から各端子ホルダ12が取り外された状態を示す図である。

Claims (2)
- 複数の電線と、該複数の電線の前方の端末部を露出させるようにこれら複数の電線を一括して覆う絶縁部と、各前記電線の前方の端末部に接続される複数の端子と、を備えた多芯ケーブルを製造するための多芯ケーブル製造装置であって、
各前記電線と各前記端子とを圧着接続するために対を成して構成された圧着型を複数有し、
複数の前記圧着型は、前記複数の電線と前記複数の端子とを略同時に圧着接続するように構成され、
前記複数の圧着型は、前記複数の電線の前方の端末部を、該前方の端末部より後方側に位置する分岐点を中心とした放射状かつ前記分岐点から直線状に延在させた状態で、前記各電線の前方の端末部と前記各端子とを圧着接続することを特徴とする多芯ケーブル製造装置。 - 前記対を成して構成された圧着型のうち少なくとも一方が、前記各電線の前方の端末部または前記各端子を載置するために直線状に延在形成された湾曲面を有し、
前記各電線と前記各端子とが圧着接続される際、複数の前記湾曲面の延在方向が、前記複数の電線の前記分岐点を中心とした放射方向に沿っていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の多芯ケーブル製造装置。
