Description
(1) 端子本体と、前記端子本体から延在された複数の端子接続部と、を有する端子金具に対して、電線の端部に接続された接続端子の一対の締結加締め片を前記端子接続部に形成された一対の被締結加締め片に加締めて接続する端子金具の接続方法であって、
前記被締結加締め片の開放端部をそれぞれ内側へ折り返して折り返し部を形成すると共にこれら折り返し部の間に前記一対の締結加締め片の開放端部が進入可能なスペースを設ける工程と、
前記一対の締結加締め片の開放端部が前記スペースに入り込むようにして前記締結加締め片を押し潰して前記一対の被締結加締め片を加締める工程と、
を含むことを特徴とする端子金具の接続方法。
(2) 前記締結加締め片によって前記被締結加締め片を挿入可能な保持空間を前記接続端子に形成する工程と、
前記一対の被締結加締め片の開放端部が前記一対の締結加締め片の開放端部と同じ側を向くように前記保持空間に前記端子接続部を挿入することで前記接続端子に前記端子接続部を保持させる工程と、
を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の端子金具の接続方法。
(3) 前記締結加締め片が、前記保持空間に挿入された前記被締結加締め片に当接して前記端子接続部の挿入方向に沿う軸線を中心とした回転を規制する回転規制面を有する
ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の端子金具の接続方法。
上記(2)の構成の端子金具の接続方法では、一対の被締結加締め片の開放端部が一対の締結加締め片の開放端部と同じ側を向くように保持空間に保持された後、被締結加締め片が締結加締め片によって外側を巻き込むように加締められる。
そこで、接続端子に対する端子接続部の姿勢を安定させた状態で締結作業を行うことができ、端子金具の端子接続部への接続端子の締結作業性を向上させることができるとともに、圧着強度のばらつきを抑えて高い接続信頼性を得ることができる。
また、予め接続端子に保持空間を形成することで、締結加締め片が上方へ向かって広がるU字状に形成されたものと比較し、幅寸法を抑えることができる。これにより、圧着機で締結する際のクリンパ等の部品の小型化による作業スペースの削減が図れる。
上記(3)の構成の端子金具の接続方法では、端子金具の端子接続部は、締結加締め片の回転規制面に当接することで、接続端子に対して所定の姿勢に維持される。
そこで、端子接続部の回転を規制する治具等を用いることなく、締結加締め片の端子接続部への食い込み量のバランスを保ち、圧着強度のばらつきを抑えて高い接続信頼性を得ることができる。
本発明の一実施形態に係る端子金具の接続方法について説明する。
これにより、端子金具10では、支持壁部16の係止片16aによって接続板部14が係止された部分が連結部20とされている。つまり、端子金具10は、複数の連結部20を有しており、これらの複数の連結部20で、端子本体11と電線接続部本体19とが互いに連結されている。
図7は、接続端子30及び端子接続部21がセットされた圧着機41の概略断面図である。図8は、端子金具10の端子接続部21に対する締結接続部32の締結加締め片32aの締結状態を示す図であって、図8の(a)は締結加締め片32aの締結前の図1の(b)におけるA−A断面図、図8の(b)は締結加締め片32aの締結過程の図1の(b)におけるA−A断面図、図8の(c)は締結加締め片32aの締結後の図1の(b)におけるA−A断面図である。
図8の(a)に示すように、まず、接続端子30と端子接続部21とを仮固定する。具体的には、接続端子30の保持空間Sへ端子接続部21を挿入する。この際、端子接続部21は、一対の係合壁22の開放端部が一対の締結加締め片32aの開放端部と同じ側を向くように保持空間Sに挿入される。このように、保持空間Sへ端子接続部21を挿入すると、端子接続部21は、その両側部が保持空間Sの両側面からなる回転規制面36に当接することで、挿入方向に沿う軸線を中心とした回転が規制された状態で、接続端子30の締結接続部32に保持される。これにより、端子接続部21は、接続端子30に対して所定の姿勢に維持される。
図7に示すように、端子接続部21を仮固定した接続端子30を圧着機41のアンビル42の載置面42aに載置させる。この状態においても、端子接続部21は、保持空間Sに挿入されているので、挿入方向に沿う軸線を中心とした回転が規制され、接続端子30に対して所定の姿勢に維持される。
圧着機41を作動させて圧着を開始させ、圧着機41のクリンパ43を下降させる。すると、クリンパ43の誘い面43aによって締結接続部32が凹状部分に案内される。このときも、端子接続部21は、保持空間S内で接続端子30に対して所定の姿勢に維持される。その後、クリンパ43の押圧面43bが締結接続部32の締結加締め片32aの上部に当接し、これにより、締結加締め片32aが押し潰されて加締めが開始される。

前記被締結加締め片の開放端部をそれぞれ内側へ折り返して折り返し部(22a)を形成すると共にこれら折り返し部の間に前記一対の締結加締め片の開放端部が進入可能なスペース(G)を設ける工程と、
前記一対の締結加締め片の開放端部が前記スペースに入り込むようにして前記締結加締め片を押し潰して前記一対の被締結加締め片を加締める工程と、
を含むことを特徴とする端子金具の接続方法。
[2] 前記締結加締め片によって前記被締結加締め片を挿入可能な保持空間(S)を前記接続端子に形成する工程と、
前記一対の被締結加締め片の開放端部が前記一対の締結加締め片の開放端部と同じ側を向くように前記保持空間に前記端子接続部を挿入することで前記接続端子に前記端子接続部を保持させる工程と、
を含むことを特徴とする上記[1]に記載の端子金具の接続方法。
[3] 前記締結加締め片が、前記保持空間に挿入された前記被締結加締め片に当接して前記端子接続部の挿入方向に沿う軸線を中心とした回転を規制する回転規制面(36)を有する
ことを特徴とする上記[2]に記載の端子金具の接続方法。

前記一対の締結加締め片の開放端部が前記スペースに入り込むようにして前記締結加締め片を押し潰すことにより前記一対の被締結加締め片が加締められ、
前記端子金具が前記接続端子を介して前記電線に接続される

- 端子本体と、前記端子本体から延在された複数の端子接続部と、を有する端子金具に対して、電線の端部に接続された接続端子の一対の締結加締め片を前記端子接続部に形成された一対の被締結加締め片に加締めて接続する端子金具の接続方法であって、
前記被締結加締め片の開放端部をそれぞれ内側へ折り返して折り返し部を形成すると共にこれら折り返し部の間に前記一対の締結加締め片の開放端部が進入可能なスペースを設ける工程と、
前記一対の締結加締め片の開放端部が前記スペースに入り込むようにして前記締結加締め片を押し潰して前記一対の被締結加締め片を加締める工程と、
を含むことを特徴とする端子金具の接続方法。 - 前記締結加締め片によって前記被締結加締め片を挿入可能な保持空間を前記接続端子に形成する工程と、
前記一対の被締結加締め片の開放端部が前記一対の締結加締め片の開放端部と同じ側を向くように前記保持空間に前記端子接続部を挿入することで前記接続端子に前記端子接続部を保持させる工程と、
