Description
特許文献2には、軸線方向に平行に並べて配置された一対のスクリュウを備えた装置が記載されている。この装置は、回転する一対のスクリュウの間において混練処理可能である。
また、特許文献2の装置では、混練条件を変更する場合、すなわち一対のスクリュウ間のギャップを変更する場合、一対のスクリュウを交換する必要があり、交換段取り作業が煩雑である。特許文献3の装置では、混練条件を変更する場合、すなわち杵部材の先端外周部と臼部材の先端内周部との間のギャップを変更する場合、杵部材および臼部材を交換する必要があり、交換段取り作業が煩雑である。
これにより、収容容器内は、バルブを閉じることによりプレスラリおよびスラリで密な状態になるので、プレスラリに対するエネルギの伝達効率が良く、スラリの粘度が安定する。
これにより、粉体は、架橋が発生することなくスムーズに供給される。
本実施形態による混練装置は、例えば、リチウムイオン二次電池の電極(正極および負極)を製造するための装置を構成する。リチウムイオン二次電池の電極は、アルミニウム箔や銅箔等の基材に活物質材料のスラリを塗布して乾燥することにより製造される。本実施形態の混練装置は、活物質材料のスラリを製造する装置である。
本実施形態の混練装置について、図1を参照して説明する。混練装置1は、溶解装置2と、供給装置3と、予備混練装置4と、本混練装置5と、制御装置6等とを備えて構成される。
記憶部61には、増粘剤の溶解液の溶解度と増粘剤の溶解液の粘度との関係を示すデータ(図3参照)、増粘剤の溶解液の粘度と増粘剤溶解時間との関係を示すデータ(図4参照)、活物質材料のスラリの粘度と本混練装置5の回転子52の周速との関係を示すデータ(図5参照)、活物質材料のスラリの粘度と本混練装置5のバルブ57の開度との関係を示すデータ(図6参照)、その他の溶解制御、混練制御等に関するデータが記憶されている。
供給制御部63は、供給装置3の動作を制御する制御部であり、低周波発生装置32を駆動して低周波を発生させ、ハウジング31内の活物質の粉体の架橋を防止し、ロスインウエイト制御により所定量の活物質の粉体を供給管路33を介して予備混練装置4に供給する。
次に、制御装置6による処理について、図2を参照して説明する。制御装置6は、溶解装置2を駆動し増粘剤を溶媒に溶解する(図2のステップS1)。
具体的には、溶解制御部62は、記憶部61から増粘剤の溶解液の粘度と増粘剤の溶解液の溶解度との関係を示すデータ、および増粘剤の溶解液の粘度と増粘剤溶解時間との関係を示すデータを読み出す。
具体的には、溶解制御部62は、定量ポンプ26を駆動して所定量の増粘剤の溶解液を供給管路25を通じて予備混練装置4の開口41aから一対のスクリュウ42の後端側に供給する。供給制御部63は、低周波発生装置32を駆動して所定量の活物質等の粉体を供給管路33を通じて予備混練装置4の開口41aから一対のスクリュウ42の後端側に供給する。
具体的には、予備混練制御部64は、駆動モータ43を駆動して一対のスクリュウ42を軸線回りで回転させ、ハウジング41の開口41aから供給される増粘剤の溶解液および活物質の粉体を混合する。
具体的には、まず、本混練制御部65は、本混練装置5に活物質材料のプレスラリが供給される前に、以下の準備工程を行う。すなわち、本混練制御部65は、ハウジング51内の収容容器53を冷却するために、冷却水を冷却管路51aから給水して冷却管路51bから排水する。収容容器53を冷却する理由は、後述する回転子52の外周面と収容容器53の内周面とのギャップG間で行われる活物質材料のプレスラリの分散中において、活物質材料のプレスラリの温度上昇を抑制するためである。
Claims (4)
- 少なくとも活物質を含む粉体および増粘剤の溶解液を混練する混練装置であって、
前記増粘剤を溶媒に溶解する溶解装置と、
投入される前記粉体および前記増粘剤の溶解液を撹拌することにより、前記粉体を前記増粘剤の溶解液に対し濡らしながら搬送してプレスラリとする予備混練装置と、
前記予備混練装置から供給される前記プレスラリを、対向して回転するテーパ面間の調整可能なギャップに通すことにより、前記プレスラリ中において前記粉体を分散させてスラリとする本混練装置と、
を備える混練装置。 - 前記予備混練装置は、平行且つ並べて配置され、互いに噛み合って軸線回りに回転可能な一対のスクリュウを有し、前記一対のスクリュウの回転によりスクリュウ後端側に投入される前記粉体を前記スクリュウ後端側に投入される前記増粘剤の溶解液に対し濡らしながらスクリュウ前端側に向かって搬送して前記プレスラリとし、
前記本混練装置は、軸線回りに回転可能且つ軸線方向に移動可能な円錐台状の回転子、および前記回転子の外周面の傾斜と同方向の傾斜の内周面が設けられ、前記回転子を収納可能な収納容器を有し、前記予備混練装置の前記スクリュウ前端側から前記収容容器における前記回転子の一方の端面側の空間に供給される前記プレスラリを、前記回転子の軸線方向の移動で調整した前記回転子の外周面と前記収容容器の内周面とのギャップに通し、前記回転子の軸線回りの回転により前記プレスラリ中において前記粉体を分散させて前記スラリとし、前記収容容器における前記回転子の他方の端面側の空間に押し出して前記収容容器の外部に排出する、請求項1の混練装置。 - 前記収容容器には、外部排出経路にバルブが設けられ、前記バルブを閉じて前記予備混練装置から供給される前記プレスラリが前記収容容器内を満たし、前記収容容器の内圧が所定値に達した後に前記バルブを所定量開いて前記スラリを外部に排出する、請求項2の混練装置。
- 前記混練装置は、
前記粉体を振動させて前記予備混練装置に供給可能な供給装置、を備える、請求項1〜3の何れか一項の混練装置。
