Description
本発明の第1実施形態に係る繊維強化樹脂接合体の製造方法(以下、単に製造方法ともいう)について、図1〜図4を参照しつつ説明する。第1実施形態に係る製造方法では、図1〜図3に示すように、第1複合部材10及び第2複合部材12の接合端部同士を加熱した状態で、下型14と上型16の間で加圧して接合することで、図4に示す繊維強化樹脂接合体18を得る。この際、接合用部材40を介して、第1複合部材10及び第2複合部材12の接合端部同士を接合する。
本発明の第2実施形態に係る製造方法について、図1〜図4を参照しつつ説明する。第2実施形態に係る製造方法では、溶融させる前の第1複合部材10、第2複合部材12、接合用部材40のそれぞれを重畳して重畳体42を形成する。そして、この重畳体42を下型14と上型16の間で加熱して溶融させる点で、第1実施形態に係る製造方法と相違する。この点を除いては、第1実施形態に係る製造方法と同様に、成形装置26を用いて、第1複合部材10及び第2複合部材12の接合端部同士を、接合用部材40を介して接合し、繊維強化樹脂接合体18を得ることができる。
次に、主に図5を参照しつつ、本発明の第3実施形態に係る製造方法について説明する。なお、図5に示す構成要素のうち、図1〜図4に示す構成要素と同一又は同様の機能及び効果を奏するものに対しては同一の参照符号を付し、詳細な説明を省略する。
次に、主に図6を参照しつつ、本発明の第4実施形態に係る製造方法について説明する。なお、図6に示す構成要素のうち、図1〜図5に示す構成要素と同一又は同様の機能及び効果を奏するものに対しては同一の参照符号を付し、詳細な説明を省略する。

Claims (5)
- 第1熱可塑性樹脂及び繊維長Laの第1不連続繊維を含んで構成される第1複合部材及び第2複合部材の接合端部同士を加熱した状態で下型と上型の間で加圧して接合することで、繊維強化樹脂接合体を得る繊維強化樹脂接合体の製造方法であって、
前記下型に前記接合端部同士の互いの端面が第1長さで離間して対向するように前記第1複合部材及び前記第2複合部材を配置し、第1加熱手段を用いて前記下型を加熱することで前記第1複合部材及び前記第2複合部材の前記端面から各々の内部に向かって第2長さに至るまでの範囲を溶融させることと並行して、第2熱可塑性樹脂及び繊維長Lbの第2不連続繊維を含んで構成される接合用部材を第2加熱手段を用いて加熱して溶融させる加熱工程と、
溶融した前記接合端部同士に跨るように、溶融した前記接合用部材を配置して重畳体を形成する重畳工程と、
前記下型と前記上型を接近させて前記重畳体を加圧することで、前記接合端部の溶融部分及び前記接合用部材を、前記接合端部同士の互いの前記端面の間に向かって流動させ、互いに混合する加圧工程と、
前記接合端部と前記接合用部材が混合された混合部位を冷却固化させることで、前記第1複合部材及び前記第2複合部材が前記混合部位を介して接合された繊維強化樹脂接合体を得る固化工程と、を有し、
前記第1長さが、前記繊維長Lbの1/2以上となり、且つ前記第2長さが前記繊維長La以上となるように設定することを特徴とする繊維強化樹脂接合体の製造方法。 - 第1熱可塑性樹脂及び繊維長Laの第1不連続繊維を含んで構成される第1複合部材及び第2複合部材の接合端部同士を、下型と上型の間で加熱及び加圧して接合することで、繊維強化樹脂接合体を得る繊維強化樹脂接合体の製造方法であって、
前記接合端部同士の互いの端面が第1長さで離間して対向するように前記第1複合部材及び前記第2複合部材を配置し、且つ第2熱可塑性樹脂及び繊維長Lbの第2不連続繊維を含んで構成される接合用部材を前記接合端部同士に跨るように配置して重畳体を形成する重畳工程と、
前記下型及び前記上型で前記重畳体を挟持して加熱することで、前記接合用部材を溶融させ、且つ前記第1複合部材及び前記第2複合部材の前記端面から各々の内部に向かって第2長さに至るまでの範囲を溶融させる加熱工程と、
前記上型と前記下型とをさらに接近させて前記重畳体を加圧することで、前記接合端部の溶融部分及び前記接合用部材を、前記接合端部同士の互いの前記端面の間に向かって流動させ、互いに混合する加圧工程と、
前記接合端部と前記接合用部材が混合された混合部位を冷却固化させることで、前記第1複合部材及び前記第2複合部材が前記混合部位を介して接合された繊維強化樹脂接合体を得る固化工程と、を有し、
前記第1長さが、前記繊維長Lbの1/2以上となり、且つ前記第2長さが前記繊維長La以上となるように設定することを特徴とする繊維強化樹脂接合体の製造方法。 - 請求項1又は2記載の繊維強化樹脂接合体の製造方法において、
前記重畳工程では、前記接合端部のそれぞれと前記接合用部材とを重ね合わせた部位の重ね合わせ長さが、それぞれ前記接合用部材の厚さ以上であり且つ前記第2長さの1/2以下となるように設定することを特徴とする繊維強化樹脂接合体の製造方法。 - 請求項1〜3の何れか1項に記載の繊維強化樹脂接合体の製造方法において、
前記接合用部材は、前記第1複合部材及び前記第2複合部材に臨む側の面から突出する凸部を有し、前記凸部を、前記接合端部同士の互いの前記端面の間に介在させるように前記重畳体を形成することを特徴とする繊維強化樹脂接合体の製造方法。 - 請求項1〜4の何れか1項に記載の繊維強化樹脂接合体の製造方法において、
前記接合用部材は、第1接合用部材と第2接合用部材から構成され、
前記第1接合用部材及び前記第2接合用部材の合計体積は、前記端面のうち、前記接合端部同士の互いの前記端面が互いに対向する部位の面積と、前記第1長さとの積で表される体積と略一致するように設定され、
前記重畳工程では、前記重畳体の重畳方向の一端側に前記第1接合用部材が配置され、且つ他端側に前記第2接合用部材が配置されるように前記重畳体を形成することを特徴とする繊維強化樹脂接合体の製造方法。
